This winery is situated on a beach. Originally built as a tomato factory in the early 1900s, the building has been renovated and reopened as a winery.
This established wine estate has been going for generations. Now in its 4th generation, it's still producing authentic wines from the volcanic soils of Santorini.

Petrol was a wonderful guide full of knowledge about the island. We chose the pace and places we wanted to see. Hw met us at the top of the cable cars, rught where you fet off. Please note that yku will have a walk to your guides car as you can't drive up at the top. Petros was very kind and considerate. Would highly recommend.
The best experience of our time on Santorini. Yiannis (sorry if that's spelt wrong) was an excellent host, incredibly knowledgeable about the wines of Santorini, their production methods and history and the individual wineries (& can even throw in a bit of history of commercial tomato production). He hit the perfect level of attentiveness, and knowing when to step back if you're having a moment (sunset over the caldera, sat at probably the best table on the terrace on our 25th wedding anniversary counts as a moment). We started the day picked up from our hotel and taken to a total of three winery’s that turned out to be the perfect mix of great wine, easy humor, cheese, and unexpectedly educational moments with Yiannis, a level 3 sommelier who kept things fun while teaching us more than we realized we wanted to know. We tasted red, white, and dessert wines paired with cheese, grapes, and crackers, discovered a tomato paste so good we bought a jar, and ended the tour at a table overlooking a beautiful Santorini sunset. It was just the three of us, every stop was family owned and genuinely welcoming, and the moment an olive fell from a tree and tapped me on the shoulder it felt like a personal blessing from Athena herself, which the Parthenon lore fully supports (look up Zeus and Athena competing to own Athens and make a guess who won). This is not our first wine tour and we were really suprised at how much we liked it. Pro tip, since Yiannis is a sommelier, be sure to let him know what you like/don’t like about the wines and he will adjust accordingly. The wine tour was booked with our travel agent, Lisa Zwissler, with Beach Bum Vacations.
One of the most beautiful sunsets we saw in Santorini — over the caldera, with a glass of wine in hand. 🍷🌅 We spent the day with Ioanna and Yiannis, and it honestly felt more like spending time with friends than going on a tour. Everything was easy, comfortable and fun. We talked, laughed, tasted some lovely wines and learned a lot about Santorini and its winemaking. And then we ended the day with that sunset. We had the best day, our favourite day in Santorini! Yiannis was punctual in picking us up and the rest of the trip was just as seamless. From the beginning communication was easy, we got to choose which wineries we wanted to go to having been given a short story on them all. Yiannis is a sommelier who really knows his wines, we learnt a lot about winemaking as well as ideal food pairings. The day was relaxed with the right amount of time at each winery. We finished with a sunset at Santos, highly recommend. An absolute must do if you are visiting Santorini.
Yannis was unbelievably knowledgeable!!! He showed us so many things about how wine was made, what makes it special and why the different wines taste different! Yiannis picked us up right on time in Oia. The van was roomy and very comfortable. Took us to a vineyard and showed us the unique vines of the area. We then visited a few wineries. We finished at Santo wines and had a wonderful view of the sunset. I would definitely recommend this tour and would go with him again!

My wife and I did spent part of our honeymoon in Santorini, both of us love wine and enjoy exploring new places so doing a wine tour was quite high on our list. We came across Yannis' company through Tripadvisor and went for it based on the other 5 star reviews and it's safe to say we're incredibly glad we did. The tour took us to 3 separate wineries in different areas of the island, at each of these we tasted/drank 4 wines and had accompanying snacks. You can book separate tastings with each all of the wineries we went to and have the similar (not the same) food/wine but you would be SERIOUSLY missing out if you don't go with Yannis. What we experienced with him really made a huge difference, other reviews have said things about the places so I'll just mention about Yannis. He's not from Santorini but has been there for a while, he used to work for a larger company doing the tours but has now gone out on his own - this really shows. His knowledge of the whole island when we were driving around was fantastic, pointing out points of interest and giving us pointers on what to do. He was also greeted by other tour givers, one even boasting Yannis 'had taught him everything he knew'. Yannis' wine knowledge was fantastic, pointing out not just what we should be tasting and what food to pair with what wine but also why you should and shouldn't pair certain things together. As an example of his expertise, in one of the wineries, he looked at the colour of the wine (just the colour) and knew that it wasn't right, the wine was promptly changed and he was explaining what he had noticed. My wife and I would have happily drunk the first but there was a noticeable (slight to us) difference. Lastly, Yannis was there to give great insights but he was not obtrusive. He would go through each wine when we were served it and answer our questions but then give us our privacy to enjoy it. We were never rushed and were always offered more, not that we needed it! Truly a fantastic experience, almost entirely down to Yannis. Thanks Yannis!
We had such a good time on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Greek and other wines, and engaged with us on our first sips to identify flavours and smells. We finished at Santos winery at a table facing the most coveted sunset views. This tour was booked just for my boyfriend and I and we really enjoyed the private nature of the tour. It was a truly unforgettable experience! Ioannis went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Even when it started raining on the tour, he moved our table and chairs into a beautiful wine cellar to continue the private tasting. Ioannis is incredibly knowledgeable on the wine making process and was eager to teach us how to appreciate the 12 different wines we tried. Each pour was very generous and accompanied by snacks, so we came away full of wine and memories.

Wine tastings and vineyard visits the other night in Santorini. Never seen or knew about grape vines being coiled into nests to protect the grapes from the island elements. Also got to see the old traditional room where they crush grapes with feet and gets filtered. And of course we got to see the beautiful sunset.
