Stop At: Oia Duration:
1 hour 10 minutes We will embark on a tour of the island starting from the famous village of Oia. Equipped with comfortable walking shoes, we will take you to see the well-known Caldera and the iconic Blue Domes, which are must-see attractions. You will have ample time for taking photos and exploring the quaint shopping alleys, filled with local brands, handmade goods, and art galleries.
Stop At: Fira Next stop the famous capital of the island, Fira, where you will find the Prehistoric Thira Museum, as well as the Orthodox and Catholic Cathedral. Scroll around the little alleys of Fira until meeting the caldera with stunning views of the volcano. Fira is also home to the largest market on the island, with numerous restaurants, tavernas, cafes, and nightclubs.
Stop At: Our journey continues to the Convent of Profitis Ilias, the highest peak of the mountain (567m/1860 ft), offering breathtaking views. The convent houses a valuable collection of holy images, handwritten books, and rare ecclesiastical items.
Stop At: We will then visit the village of Pyrgos, once the old capital of the island, and the highest village in Santorini. You will see the medieval castle, numerous churches, traditional houses, and picturesque alleys.
Stop At: Perissa Black Sand Beach Next stop -to relax- Perissa's Black Beach, named for its dark sand, which is made of black volcanic pebbles. The contrast of the black sand against the crystal-clear water of the Aegean Sea creates a breathtaking landscape. At the same time it is fully organized with traditional restaurants and beach bars, where you can relax and enjoy a refreshment or local food or try water sports such as windsurfing, snorkeling, and kayaking.

Yannis was our driver and guide for the 6 hour private tour. We bought this package, but it's essentially a private tour where you can decide where you want to go. Most of us don't drink, so we replaced the wine tasting with a visit to Black Beach.
We shared what we really wanted to see, and Yannis also recommended sights that are not to be missed. We adjusted the itinerary as we went, based on how we felt at each location.
Yannis knows Santorini well, in terms of its history and stories. He's very willing to share these, as well as his local connections to show us spots less accessible otherwise. He's also able to gauge when we wanted to hear more, and when we needed time to ourselves.
We felt this private tour was a great way to get a good glimpse of Santorini and to get around Santorini where public transport is not the easiest to catch.
I really enjoyed my private tour, Gianni's was great and knew all the best spots and hidden gems. Great conversationalist also, had a great time.

Me and my partner we booked a wine tour with Makedas travel and our experience was absolutely great. Very clean luxurious car and right on time for our tour! Yianni, the driver that took us to the wineries, was extremely friendly with a big sense of humor and very knowledgeable about the island so he shared a lot of Santorini's history and made our half day tour amazing!! Perfect tour for our only one day in Santorini.
Yianni was our driver and tourguide. He was awesome! From the very beginning he was easy to communicate and was also on time to pick us up from the airport. He definitely loves to share about Greece and Santorini. Me and my friend and boyfriend love photos and he drove us to certain view points to get the best ones.
About the winery , the tour is not included which i think is perfect because you can choice to have a tourguide or just walk and get to the top floor where you can get a tasting where the options and pricess were good as well! very recommended
