We start our tour making our way to Firostefani. Lying to the north of Fira, the village of Firostefani, ‘crown of Fira’, owes its name from its elevated position. Indeed, the breathtaking views of Fira and the volcano from the village are truly unforgettable. One of the highlights here will be the visit to the Blue Domed Church – the iconic church that has adorned the cover of so many brochures and guidebooks.
Continuing to the northwest of Fira, we reach Imerovigli. At about 300 meters above sea level, Imerovigli is very often referred to as the "balcony of the Aegean" and it definitely lives up to this name by offering a most spectacular view of the Aegean sunset. Other highlights are the many churches in typical Cycladic architecture, especially the church of Ai-Stratis and the Monastery of St. Nikolaos, as well as Skaros Rock which features the remains of a medieval fortress.
We are on our way now to Oia, definitely the most famous village of Santorini and one of unrivalled beauty. Certainly, there is no shortage here of attractions to intrigue the visitor - the glorious sunset, houses built in niches inside the volcanic rock, blue roofed churches, inspiring views and idyllic atmosphere will generously reward the visitor to this unique place.
Next comes a special destination slightly off the beaten track. Pyrgos Village exhibits all the magic of Santorini and trademark panoramic views of both sides of the island but also retains features of the Venetian rule. The traditional Cycladic houses and paths surround the old Venetian castle, offering the best of both worlds and making Pyrgos Village a place not to be missed.
No tour could be complete without a visit to Profitis Ilias. Perched at the peak of Mount Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elijah), the highest point of Santorini at 600 meters above sea, is the monastery of the same name. Even those averse to taking photographs will not resist the urge to take a few shots from this amazing vantage point.
Our next stop will be Megalochori (‘big village’). With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, it is one of the most picturesque and traditional villages of the island. Historical mansions, restored houses and pirate hideaways are prominent features of this authentic old settlement.
Our next destination presents us with something different, the Akrotiri Archaeological Site. Here is one of the most significant prehistoric settlements of the Aegean. Akrotiri had developed into a major city before it was covered in ash by volcanic eruptions. However, the ash has preserved structures and their contents allowing the visitor to marvel at this wonder of antiquity.
It may just be the right time for a swim now and Black Beach, or Perissa, is an excellent choice. Black Beach is actually the end of the long black sand beach of Perivolos and, without a doubt, it is the busiest and most famous beach in Santorini. After enjoying the crystal clear waters and impressive black sand, you should definitely try the local specialties in the many seaside restaurants.
And if you think you have seen it all, consider Red Beach. This famous beach stands true to its name - this striking and impressively odd formation of red volcanic rocks overlooking the beach creates a unique sight that certainly should not be missed.
However, there is a lot more to Santorini than spectacular views, blue-roofed churches, narrow paved paths and amazing beaches. So our next stop takes us to the Venetsanos Winery;gain first-hand experience of the traditional wine-making art of Santorini and feel free to discover and enjoy the exquisite local wine varieties that the island has become famous for.

We had a great time in Santorini, thanks to santorinitours. We did the full day island tour with our guide Joanna and driver Spyros. We were a group of 14 people and the van was spacious and clean. We also used santorinitours for our transfers when going to/from Fira and the airport. They were just a text away, very accommodating and always on time. Stelios was very nice and pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend santorinitours and would book with them again the next time we are back in Santorini.

Dimitris was the perfect tour guide for our group of 5! He tailored the tour to what we wanted to see and do. He was very patient with us, and did not hurry us. Two in our group had to walk slower-one having had a knee replacement almost 3 months ago. He was very gentlemanly-holding packages when we needed to take pictures, opening the car doors for us, helping us in and out of the van, even picking up items we had dropped, etc. His recommendations for sites to see and where to eat lunch were perfect!!! He made our day perfect and truly was the perfect host! I highly recommend Dimitris as a tour guide!!
Our family of four recently visited Santorini for a day, flying from and back to Athens. With over 10 hours on the island, we debated between renting a car or booking a tour—and let me tell you, booking the tour was worth every penny! There is no way we could have managed the cliffside hairpin turns and stressful parking on our own, let alone gained such personal insight into the island’s daily life. Because it was a private tour, Sara shared fascinating history and local stories that made the island come alive. She took us to EVERY corner of Santorini, from the iconic blue domes of Oia to hidden paths, quiet nooks, and gems in the smaller villages. What truly set this experience apart was how Sara engaged with our kids (ages 9 and 13) without hesitation. It didn’t feel like a formal tour; it felt like visiting the island with local family members. Sara and Jimmy made us feel exceptionally welcome from start to finish. A huge shoutout to Stelios as well, he was incredibly helpful behind the scenes, advising us to tweak our tour timing to better align with our flights and arranging a seamless separate transfer from Fira back to the airport. Our group of 11 did the full day tour and had a wonderful time. Sarah was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. She answered all of our questions and gave us lots of fun and interesting information about the island, from the myths to the history to the winemaking traditions. Our driver Stelios provided great details about life on the island as a Santorini native, was very friendly, and gave us a smooth and easy ride through the winding streets of the island. They were also able to help us reschedule when half of our group got delayed at the airport. We got to see many beautiful views of Santorini, had a delicious lunch at a beachside tavern, and got some great pictures. I would definitely reccomend!
We had an amazing time going around the island with our driver George. He worked with us to put together an itinerary of all the sights and made sure we got to see all the different views the island has to offer.
We had an amazing day trip with Stelios and our guide Stephan was informative. Both were kind and funny. Stelios was our driver for our transfer to and from airport, as well as taking us to Thira in the evenings. He also made many recommendations, even telling us the best spots for food and sunset views etc. He was respectful and made our journeys and stay very comfortable in Santorini.
We did a private all day tour, starting with the 5-6 hour private tour of Santorini followed by the Wine tour with sunset at Santos winery. I can't say enough about how awesome the experience was and it was made special by Jenny. Her knowledge of Santorini and her love of her island were clear. She was accommodating and knew all the right times to be at places juts before they filled up and the secret spots for the best pictures. She's also a really good photographer. I have already recommended her to a friend who also used her this week and loved her and the team.
Our guide Kostas, made the day memorable. He took us to hidden locations to get the most amazing photos and helped us beat the crowded tour buses, especially in Oia. Kostas also provided a Greek history and language lesson on the way to our next destinations that enhanced the tour. I strongly recommend him as a guide.
We adored our guide Jenny. (Eugenia is her Greek name). She met us at the top of the cable cars in Fira station. The driver was kind as well. It was a premium Mercedes van that likely seated 10, so we were very comfortable with our 6 plus Jenny. We went to several beautiful sites, like oai, and learned about the volcano geology of the island. We visited the black beach and had a great dinner at a local seafood restaurant. We would highly recommend both the tour company and our driver stellos and guide Jenny.

Our tour guide was Jenny. She was already waiting for us at the port upon our cruise's arrival. The van was new, clean, and air conditioned. It was a private tour for our family of 5 that we got tailored to our interests. She was knowledgeable, polite, friendly, and took as much time as we wanted at each stop. She had great energy, conversation, and was so much fun! She knew the routes that other tours were taking and we were able to avoid/beat all of the crowds. Plus, she took us to one of the best wineries with breathtaking views. Also, she was by far the best photographer we have had. We have beautiful pictures to go along with the best memories. We had a great time and this was easily one of the best tours we did on our trip. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to see Santorini. Much cheaper than trips from the cruise ship and includes much more! Don't even think twice about it!
My wife and I had a wonderful time in Santorini with guide Jenny for eight hours, Jenny was so friendly and knowledgeable, she planned everything for us taking any request from us in her plan, Jenny answered all our questions and suggested the best photo spots and we end our day with great photos collection. Awesome tour, great transportation and terrific guide and drivers. Firstly, the van was very comfortable, with air conditioning, and we were offered water. The guide, Stefano, is a true passionate of Santorini. He showed us the best places across the island, showed us some hidden gems (especially nice as Santorini is a crowded island), and knew the best spots for getting the best views and avoiding crowds. We had the time of our lives! Truly recommend it.

We took the full day tour of 8 hours which covered almost all the attractions of Santorini Island. Pick up from our stay with Very cool and good English speaking guide. The driver and car were also very good. All our questions were answered by our guide, he was very knowledgeable. the met more than our expectations. In future we are still looking to visit Santorini Island for its very nice beauty and the people there in the island. Had a very good & awesome time we had.
