The natural beauty of Oia village in combination with its traditional architecture which consists of white washed houses, old mansions where captains used to live, narrow streets and blue domed churches, make this village unique thus extremely popular to the visitors. Photos and postal cards with the sunset of Oia, the caldera view and the churches with the blue domes have travelled all over the world advertising the incomparable beauty of the village and making even more people wishing to visit it!
Next stop, Immerovigli that it is a picturesque village. It is situated at the north of Santorini, only 2 km away from the capital of Fira. It is a continuation of Fira and one of the most beautiful balconies of the island. The name of Imerovigli comes from the word vigla which means view spot. The position of the village provides a clear view of the caldera, and during the old times it allowed villagers to see the pirate ships approaching. Today, Immerovigli is one of the recognized traditional settlements. Hotels and traditional houses are plentiful in Imerovigli. There are also many taverns and cafes with stunning views to the caldera. In front of Immerovigli lies an enormous rock called Scaros. On top of it is a castle that was built during the 13th century but it was abandoned in the early 1800s. The castle housed all the administrative offices of the island. This part of the island collapsed after an earthquake, and only the huge hill of Scaros is left today. Immerovigli has numerous chapels and churches built on the rocks overlooking the blue sea. The village is known as the ultimate romantic destination.
On the way, we’ll make a short stop in Firostefani to see the famous Blue Dome Church, the subject of so many Santorini’s postcards.
The highest spot of the island (567 meters) is located between Pyrgos and Kamari. The Mountain’s name is ProfitisIlias (Prophet Elijah), coming from the Monastery with the same name on its peak. From this vantage point, you will enjoy a striking view of the entire island, from the patchwork agricultural plains to the hilltop village of Oia. The Monastery was built in 1712. The walls round the Monastery remind of a fortress. The history of ProfitisIlias is long and very importand for the life of Santorini during the centuries. In earlier times, owned its’ own ship which conducted private business for the benefit of the monastery and at the same time the Monastery was an active intellectual and patriotic influence. From 1806 to 1845 it ran a school where the Greek language and literature were taugh. The monastery’s decline began in 1860; buildings suffered serious damage in the 1956 earthquakes. The monastery today has an important collection of icons and bibles, and artefacts of the Greek Orthodox religion, ecclesiastical objects, books and ethnographic material. It also hosts displays on shoemaking, printing, candle making, wine making and of typical local food.
Known for its rich history and local culture, Megalochori dates back to the 17th century, and its well-preserved architecture offers a glimpse into Santorini’s past. The village is also famous for its winemaking heritage, with several historic wineries offering a taste of the island’s finest vintages. Make sure to explore the hidden alleys, where local artisan shops and cozy cafes await. Don’t miss the iconic church domes and the traditional cave houses carved into volcanic rock, which add to the village’s unique allure.
Welcome to Santo Wines Winery, where the essence of Santorini comes alive in every sip. Perched on the breathtaking cliffs of the caldera, this world-renowned winery combines the island’s volcanic heritage with centuries of winemaking tradition to create an unforgettable experience. Indulge in the iconic flavors of Santorini, including the award-winning Assyrtiko and Vinsanto wines, crafted from hand-picked grapes grown in the island’s unique volcanic soil. Black beach is a beautiful beach situated 15 km southeast of Fira extending for 7 km on the southeastern side of Santorini. The beach features unique charateristics, black sand, crystalline waters and various beach facilities. However, the enormous rock called Mesa Vouno that rises from the sea is the main attraction of the beach and the entire area. Visitors are left spellbound by the stunning view of the rock especially when it shines in the dark. Perissa is a nice tourist resort witnessing a huge tourist movement that starts from in the middle of the summer season. The village offers a great variety of hotels for all tastes and budgets, restaurants, taverns, cafes and bars. The area is extremely developed with modern amenities and quite inviting while retaining its strong traditional character.

Booked a private Santorini tour with GooSantorini directly through their website, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. Our family of 7 enjoyed every moment of the tour. Dimitri was our driver and Felipe was our professional guide. Both were extremely friendly, professional, and made us feel very comfortable throughout the day. Felipe shared so much interesting information about Santorini, its history, culture, and the places we visited, while Dimitri made sure everything was smooth and perfectly organized. The tour was very well planned, but at the same time relaxed and flexible, which was perfect for our family. We visited beautiful places, had enough time for photos, and never felt rushed. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Santorini. Highly recommended if you are looking for a private, professional, and memorable tour of the island!
We had the best time with Dimitri 😁. He was so polite and helpful from when he picked us up to dropping us back at our hotel. Dimitri is very knowledgeable and knew of all the best places to visit and was our best guide for the day. We travelled in a beautiful new minivan and we were provided with lots of water and a gifts. Thanks again Dimitri for being our private tour guide! 😎
Visited all the island in just 5 hours with my family. We are very happy that we booked this tour. Had 5 hours of a private tour in Santorini is a style. Is so busy the island in the high season, but with the private tour you are the first everywhere. thanks
I booked this tour in September with my family. Dimitri pickup us from the cruise-ship and drive us all around the island. He is the best local guide that know all the history of the island and best places. We saw the caldera side , the beach side with black beach and red beach and on the end had a wine tasting at Santo-wine winery. all it was perfect.I recommend this tour to all families who are coming to Santorini and want to see the island in 5-6 hours.
Our favorite part of the tour was Dimitri. He was so knowledgeable and he took us to amazing places. Some were tourist places and others were the places for the locals. He took us to a local restaurant that was right on the beach. The food prices were reasonable, compared to the high prices where the tourist section was. The food, well that was something absolutely amazing! I totally suggest the Cream Chicken dish and the feta appetizer! We also tried some things Dimitri suggested that are part of the history of Santorini. We booked directly through them. Absolutely the best! I can not say enough about this experience. The communication was awesome. It was definitely the way to see Santorini.
Can't recommend Dimitri enough - perfect tour for exploring this beautiful island, so knowledgeable and great private tour. They knows all the best places to visit, and all the side streets. We went as a family of 4 people and worked well as we could go at our own pace. Great communication before, and was on time at our location for pickup.
Fantastic day trip. Included most popular places which was the highlight of our trip. Also enjoyed the opportunity to swim at the black sand beach.
We booked a tour for 7 friends. Dimitri showed us around the island and informed us of the most vital information. He also showed us some hidden gems of Santorini. The island is stunning and offers a variety of activities. In 5 hours, we drove around the entire island and had a great time. Thank you!
They are the best in tours. Great price. Excellent luxury van. Very comfortable and attentive. We walked up and booked when we arrived then scheduled via WhatsApp when we departed. They were great, on time, and excellent guide.
One should not miss to book a Sightseeing tour with Goosantoirni Team while in Santorini, the sun is magical here. The overall tour experience with 1 kid and 1 infant was beyond my expectations. The guide of this private tour I was on with Sergiu, he took so great care of everyone, Sergiu helped us with our infant so my wife can have some free time as well. I am vegan still they know enough restaurants to keep you full. Thanks
Sergiu was an incredible tour guide!! From the black sand beaches to the Monastery and the blue dome churches, we saw the entire island. We learnt about the island's rich culture and history! We highly recommend this tour. Thank you
The tour fulfilled its promises. We had a private luxury minibus ,there was Iorgo the driver with Sergio guide and it was well-organized. The time spent at the OIA was sufficient to gain an insight. Swimming at the black beach is enough time. At the last stop, we remained on the beach restaurant and enjoyed a delicious seafood. Certainly the best value.
This was a great way to see Santorini and see the sightseeing. We loved our private tour with our guide, Sergio. The time spent together were fabulous so we were glad to have chosen that option. I would suggest that private tour and specially in low season is the best time to go there as it was not crowded!
Loved the private tour with GooSantorini Team . From the start to the end we were with Christine guide and Joanis driver. They made our day memorable with great pics. Recommended.
The private sightseeing tour in Santorini was a truly unforgettable experience. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the island's history and culture, providing an in-depth look at the island's many wonders. From the stunning views of the caldera to the picturesque villages nestled along the cliffs, the tour offered a breathtaking glimpse of Santorini's natural beauty. The tour was personalized to our preferences, and the guide was able to take us to some off the beaten path locations that truly brought the island to life. Additionally, the tour was very comfortable, the transportation was clean and the tour guide was very friendly and always willing to answer any questions we had. Overall, the private sightseeing tour in Santorini was a fantastic way to see the island, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and personalized experience.
I booked a personal trip with them for myself and my family of ten people. They provided us with a new, clean minibus, as well as a friendly and polite driver, MR.Iorgo, and our guide, MR. Dimitri. The tour was informative and entertaining. Santorini's most popular blue dome, IA, Imerovigli Caldera, and Red and Black Beaches may all be visited and definitely enjoyed.
We enjoyed this tour in full. We had just few hours on the island , coming from cruise ship. The tour is 5 hours and included all the best places of the island with an amazing views of caldera Santorini and swim in the black beach. Recommended
What a wonderful way to start our adventure in Greece! Our tour guide (Sergei) was so friendly and so knowledgeable- he answered all of our questions, even the embarrassing ones! The driver we had was phenomenal- not sure how we got us to all the spots because the difficulty but he did with ease and without getting us all car sick! The spots that were picked give a great tour of the island so you know where you might want to go spend a little more time. The only thing I would have changed about this tour is I wish it was longer. We made some great friends, saw great places, and had a blast. If I could give y’all 100 stars I would. THANK YOU!
We had a nice private tour around the island with the most important 5 stops of the island. Dimitri was our driver and Natalia our guide, they are very professional and well organized. We enjoyed our private tour. Thank you

We did a family tour with Dimitri, the driver and the excellent guide. He showed us the whole island in 6 hours and gave us the necessary information. The island itself is beautiful. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.
We had a wonderful 5 hour tour of Santorini with Dimitri as our guide. We saw and learned so much in that time. Dimitri spoke excellent English, was extremely knowledgeable and polite. I would 100% recommend it to our friends and family too!
Nous avons fait deux visites par cette entreprise à Santorin. Une journée complète pour visiter les principaux points de l'île et une autre pour les îles volcaniques. A la fois bien organisé et les guides très attentifs.
The trip was very good. Our tour guide, Sergiu, was very good. He had good knowledge and also told good stories. He speaks good French and treats the group well. We saw Oia and the caldera, then Red Beach, Profitis Ilias Monastery and Black Beach on a day trip that was perfect for the day. We had lunch at Tavern Perivolos, which is the restaurant on the beach with an ocean view and sun loungers. We added a wine tasting to our tour at the SantoWine winery. The wines were very good and there were 7 tastings in total. Overall a very good day.
The Santorini Private Day Tour is an incredible experience that I recommend to everyone who visits Santorini. I had the opportunity to do this tour with a group of friends and it was simply wonderful. The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the visit to the village of Oia. It was exciting to walk along the red beach and learn about the geological history of the island. We also had the opportunity to swim on the black beach and relax while enjoying the stunning views. The team that accompanied us during the tour was very professional and friendly. They gave us a lot of interesting information about the island and its traditions. The tour was also very organized with enough time to enjoy each stop. I recommend this private tour to everyone who visits Santorini. It is an unforgettable experience that you will not want to miss.
