Vanessa was a great guide. We saw the art of Valparaiso and she took us to the best sites in vino Del Mar as well. Highly recommend for a fantastic day!

Itinerary
Begin your journey with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or AirBnB in Santiago, and set off towards the coast. As we drive, you'll pass through the lush, fertile valleys of Curacaví and Casablanca, known for their beautiful landscapes and rich agricultural heritage.
Upon arriving in Valparaíso, we'll begin exploring the vibrant, street art-adorned alleyways. Our first stop will be Paseo 21 de Mayo, also known as Artillería, where you'll enjoy one of the best views of Valparaíso's iconic harbor.
After taking in the stunning views of the harbor, we'll descend to Plaza Sotomayor, Valparaíso's historic main square, rich with European architecture. Here, you'll admire the impressive Naval Headquarters building and the monument honoring Arturo Prat, one of Chile's most celebrated national heroes.
Now it's time to explore the winding streets of Cerro Alegre, where you'll encounter remarkable murals by renowned Chilean and international artists. You'll also have the chance to view more of their work at local art galleries. Of course, no visit is complete without a stroll along Paseo Yugoslavo, a charming promenade lined with beautiful alleyways and dominated by the imposing Museum of Fine Arts.
After exploring Cerro Alegre, we'll head to the nearby neighborhood of Cerro Concepción, where you'll admire the colorful houses built by British and German immigrants in the late 19th century. Here, you'll also visit other charming promenades, such as Atkinson and Dimalow.
Before we head to the city of Viña del Mar, you'll have time to savor local cuisine at one of the cozy cafés or restaurants in the area (at your own expense).
Now, it's time to visit one of the main landmarks of Viña del Mar: the iconic Flower Clock, built in 1962 to beautify the city for that year’s World Cup. We'll make a brief stop for a photo opportunity.
Before heading back to Santiago, we'll take a walk along the shore of Acapulco Beach, enjoying views of the Viña del Mar Casino, the first casino in Chile. We'll also visit the Fonck Museum to see an original Moai, brought directly from Rapa Nui (Easter Island) in 1951.
After a magnificent day exploring the cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, it will be time to head back to Santiago, where you'll be conveniently dropped off at your hotel.

Great day trip to Valparaiso. The guide was excellent and so was the driver. My 12 year old son and I had a fantastic day! The guide did a great job of showing us the highlights and keeping us interested and also made a very good recommendation for lunch. The driver was very good and the van was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful private day tour of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar with our guide, Berson and our driver, Andrea. Berson knows a lot about a wide range of topics including the history of Chile, local flora and fauna, foreign languages and politics. On our tour, we spent some time walking through Valparaiso which gave us a lot of opportunities to take photos because the city is so photogenic. We also took a ride on one of the historic funiculars. Afterwards, we were taken to the beautiful city of Viña del Mar and enjoyed the contrast with Valparaiso. Our driver, Andrea, was very thoughtful and considerate as well as a careful and conscientious driver. We highly recommend this tour.
The city is beautiful, and magical. So many gorgeous tiny stores and creative endeavours around, small cafes and nice people. So worth the trip. Our guide Alejandra was absolutely great, friendly and knowledgeable.
The tour to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar was our family's favorite part of our 1 week trip to Chile. José, our guide, was amazing and he personalized the tour to match our group's interests. We loved hearing about the history of the area and José is personable and fun to talk with. He knew all of the best spots for photos and he took great pictures of our family. Cristóbal was our driver and we were amazed at how he expertly navigated the difficult streets of Valparaiso. The van was luxurious and comfortable. We highly recommend this tour and tour company! The next time we come back to Santiago we will book another tour with them.
Did a private tour. Guide Andres and the driver were terrific. Very nice vehicle (not always the case!) for a longish (90 min) drive to and from Santiago. Highly recommend.
So glad we took the time to visit Valparaiso. It is a special city to visit with its many murals.. Our tour guide and driver were exceptional.
Nice drive thru win valley, then meandering through the streets of Valparaiso and Vin de Mar, with a stop at the Founck? Museum.
Our family of 5, ranging from our 59 to 98, had a 2nd beautiful experience on this tour with Franco, our guide, and Nico, our driver. ((They were our guides through Santiago the day before and we were thrilled to have a 2nd day with them.) They worked together seamlessly, taking us so many places, explaining the history and culture of the region. We asked for a scenic lunch opportunity and they truly delivered. We all enjoyed lunch together as well as every moment of our multi-hour tour. They were such gracious and helpful gentlemen, and we felt very safe and blessed to have them show us around. Highly recommend 💗
This was an amazing tour, Julio and Andres were great tour guide and driver. The tour was exactly what we wanted Valparaiso spots were perfect and Andres was flexible letting us shop when we wanted, and when we wanted to see sea lions he made sure to get us right to them. If your looking for a private tour this is well worth it.
Vanessa was a great guide. We loved Valparaiso. Sensory overload. So much to see. From a scheduling point of view, we could have done without the visit to Viña Del Mar and lunched in Valparaiso, then returned to Santiago. Still, it was most worth it.
We had such a great day with tour guide Álvaro and driver Caterina! They were so friendly and welcoming, and Alvaro shared tons of fascinating information about Chile, especially Valparaíso, and Viña del Mar. We felt completely at ease and really enjoyed the whole trip. Highly recommend this tour!
I had an excellent experience. Took a detour off main highway to see the valley and wine area as we made our way to Valparaiso. My guide was exceptional in talking about the history of each area. Valparaiso is a beautiful city with incredible murals painted on many of the buildings. We did a fair bit of walking and he was always checking to make sure he wasn't taxing this 60 year to much. Highly recommend them for all tours in Santiago and area.
It was a good trip by Alvaro. He explained well the history of Valparaiso and vina de mar. We even had a side trip to the wine yard for wine tasting. Alvaro is personal and took care of our requests. We would recommend highly contacting Alvaro if you need a guide in Santiago.
Perfect tour and also Alvaro is the most profesional man to do this job👏👏👏. Alvaro is an excellent tour guide, he knows the history and conveys it in detail to his guests.
We were absolutely thrilled with the tour of Valparaíso that Alvaro organized for us. He showed us the city in a completely different light , through local stories, hidden streets, and beautiful viewpoints we would never have found on our own. His flexibility, professionalism, and warm personality made us feel like we were exploring the city with a friend rather than a guide. A special mention goes to our driver, Ariel, an experienced and professional driver who made the journey smooth, safe, and comfortable. Together, they made our day in Valparaíso truly unforgettable. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for an authentic and perfectly organized experience in Chile!
We traveled from Santiago to Valparaiso for our tour. If you're not familiar, it's about a 2 hour drive. We toured by foot and van in Valparaiso and Vina del Mar. We had a nice lunch by Happy Hill and walked back down after. We had plenty of time to walk, look and do some shopping. We had a little side stop on the way back for a quick wine tasting at Bodega RE which was very nice. Catalina, our guide was quite pleasant and knowledgeable and very good to talk to. Our driver, Carolina did a great job as well.
Alvaro was a great communicator and arranged a private tour at my last minute request. The tour was arranged such a way for us to enjoy the city and with one on one attention. Fish soup (caldillo de control) was certainly the highlight of my trip!! Great service and I highly recommend this tour company.
After a first day in Santiago with Alvaro we were not disappointed! Alvaro was again very knowledgeable, had organised a safe driver/car and lead us around! I am sure that even if we had spent a week on our own we would not have seen more! We finished up with a winery visit in the Casablanca Valley where we could sit down with their head sommelier and enjoy their premium wines!
Alvaro was the greatest! We had so much fun with him! We were a group of 8, and he showed us the best of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. He was very knowledgeable of history, culture, current events -- economic and political, particularly in these two cities. We enjoyed his tour immensely.
Álvaro is an amazing tour guide. He is patient and attentive. He is very familiar with the area and the history. He knows the stories behind the street art very well. Very interesting.
My two sons and I did a private day tour of Valparaiso and had a fabulous time! They were waiting in front of our Airbnb at the agreed upon time. We had great conversation with our guide Juan Pablo during our drive, learning about the region we passed through and Chilean history. We walked and saw some amazing sites in the city and learned a ton as we soaked in the sites. It was a fabulous tour ending with an awesome lunch in Vina Del Mar. I would highly rate these guys and recommend them to anyone wanting a private tour!
We had done a half-day tour with Álvaro and were so happy we booked a next day full tour for Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. Unfortunately he was fully booked but he had his colleague Vanessa give the tour. And Natalia was the driver (so that we could get a focused tour and have safe driving handled separately). Vanessa was very good about explaining the history, culture and background of the areas we visited. She likened herself like a "grandma" because she always wanted us to be safe and comfortable. She warned us to bring layers because weather conditions could be cooler than in Santiago (quite warm the previous day). She also ensured we had pit stop opportunities to stretch our legs (and bio breaks/snacks/souvenir shopping - as and when we wanted to) She let us decide when and if we needed a break from/to Santiago to Valparaiso/ Viña del Mar. She shared a lot of the history of the two adjoining cities. And brought us to areas of each city with great views, amazing wall art (well beyond graffiti) from truly talented artists. A great spot for lunch near the beach ... trying to optimize time to let the sun burn off some of the fog to afford us better views. She, like Álvaro, warned us when walking around more touristy places where pick pockets were more likely. We did quite a bit of walking and enjoying the different parts of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. It was definitely a full day of walking, fun, learning and enjoying!! She also found plenty of photo opportunities for us and helped take memorable photos of our visit. Not originally from Chile, she brought some interesting perspective from someone who has lived in the Santiago area for 7 years or so, so has learned and seen from non-local pair of eyes. That provided some interesting insight ! Would highly recommend Vanessa as well as Álvaro!!
