Undurraga was our final winery stop of the day in the Maipo Valley, and it was certainly the largest and most modern facility we visited. The scale of the winery is impressive and gives you a real sense of how large wine production can be in Chile. Our guide, Fernanda, did a wonderful job leading the tour. She took us into the vineyards and explained which grape varieties are grown on-site versus which are sourced from other regions. It was fascinating to learn how strategic the winery is about matching grapes to the most ideal growing conditions across Chile. One of the highlights was visiting the cellar, which was expansive and atmospheric. The winery also includes a Maipo Valley history center, which added interesting context about the region’s winemaking traditions. The tour concluded with a tasting of six wines, which was a great opportunity to explore the range of wines Undurraga produces. While the experience was impressive overall, the tour felt a bit longer than necessary at times. Personally, we would have enjoyed a slightly shorter tour with more time to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, purchase a bottle, and mingle with other guests. The tasting itself was enjoyable, but the pacing made the experience feel somewhat drawn out. That said, it is still a very worthwhile stop, especially if you are interested in seeing a large, historic winery and learning about wine production at scale in Chile.
Pauline was our Guide: excellent knowledge of the wine process and was very interesting with her explanations. Paulina answered questions in Spanish, of course, and very good English The wines offered were varied, ranging in price, generous and delicious Very good merchandise in the shop, especially for people who couldn't buy wine
The tour was very informative and the wine tasting was excellent with a mix of white and red wines. Good wine and other souvenirs to shop as well.
We selected this optional wine tour because of the reputation of the winery. The person leading the out was fascinating and her presentation and willingness to answer every question really enhanced the experience. One of the most unusual parats of the tour was the aroma room which had smelling glasses of all the scents that people might experience when tasting wine. OF the four wines we tasted, I would have considered purchasing 3. They were well priced and about a quarter of the price that you would pay at a local wine distributor in the United States that carries a few of the bottles.
We attended this tour as part of a post-cruise excursion. Eduardo did a really nice job explaining the history and operation of this near 120-year old winery. The tasting was excellent and the real surprise was the museum of indigenous people and antique carriages … a really nice feature that shows this company cares about more than commercial success.
We really enjoyed our tour & tasting with Fernanda (sorry if misspelled) at the Underraga Winery. We learned a lot and Fernanda is a very good tour guide. We appreciated her fine English as our Spanish is not sufficient for detailed presentations. It was enjoyable to walk through some of the vineyards and then through some of the production facility. The history of this vineyard is also very interesting. Very nice and extensive gift shop too.
We went with the Sousas Tour shuttle, our guide was Paulina, wonderful, winery near Santiago, there is a small museum of indigenous peoples that makes a difference at the winery. Excellent wines!
We detest! Poorly prepared guide... terrible wines! I do not recommend!
We took the tour through the Lucas Carvalho agency, where the Undurraga winery was, which I liked, even though it was a very simple tour. Pablo Neruda's house is horrible, the tour is boring, just going to see the house from afar in the middle of the ground, very bad indeed. And then going to the giant pool, beautiful, but it's just to enjoy the view and have lunch at a super crowded restaurant that is very disorganized and only has one bathroom to serve a lot of people.
The visit was amazing, the guide of the vineyard very attentive and helpful. At the end we had the tasting of 4 wines. It's worth it!
Small winery, but a grateful surprise. The place is beautiful, the guide very friendly and experienced, we tried 5 wines, one white, 2 tints, 1 late harvest and a sparkling! We like to be more intimate, cozy and more generous.:) We also visited a small museum with the personal collection of the owner of the vineyard.
The vineyard is too beautiful, one of the oldest. The guide who attended was Emiliano, super friendly and guided us in a joyful, relaxed way and telling the whole story in the smallest details. Although he did not speak Portuguese, his Spanish was easy to understand. The museum of the Mapuche people that is inside the vineyard is also a surprise part, who likes history, will definitely love. Our choice for this particular vineyard was to serve juice for those who do not want to consume alcohol at the tasting. It is very worth it for those who are starting m family and with minors. They still get a nice kick.
Experience of knowing the facilities of one of the oldest and most traditional wineries in Chile. Beautiful place, well arranged, impeccably well taken care of. We walked through the entire facility, saw the grape groves, art objects of the Chilean people, Indians, we walked through the underground of the Vinícola, storage of wine barrels, etc. The summit of the tour is pro final when we participated in a tasting of various labels, all very well presented and explained by the guide that accompanies us throughout the tour. At the end we passed the shop of the Vinícola to buy the copies that were tasted at a camara price.
Bad experience. We got there, they said we hadn't booked, and we had the voucher. Poorly educated people, who were not willing to pay attention to us to buy products from the store, which only increased the disaster of the experience. I've been to several wineries, and I don't recommend this one.
Foi ótima a visita na vincula ...
The vineyard is rustic. The guide Emiliano was very friendly and attentive but I found q the very large group of visitors helped to q the experience was not so good
We loved the Undurraga ride. It's worth seeing. We closed the package with We love Chile and it was all amazing. It's worth buying wines there.
Vincola wonderful, we know the processes and everything very well explained and the tasting is well served. The wines are very good
Wonderful experience! The hostess eh a piece!! Very fun! Leave us too much will And the very good wines I went with Morande Tourism and did all the tours via Silvio Alterio . All great and perfect I recommend everything too
The vineyard is beautiful, the wines are great and the guides despite speaking Spanish, are very understanding with us and talk slowly from there we understand everything. I loved the experience and recommend for those looking to taste good wine.
Wonderful vinicula the guide who presented us the vinicula , gave very good explanation , the tasting of various labels , found everything perfect
Excellent visit! the guide Fernanda is wonderful! Very good wines and low prices. The tour begins with a presentation of the outside, the vineyards... very good!
Super nice winemaking, the guide Javiera very dear and helpful. We made a tasting of 4 wines and still won the cup. Made good photos Tip for travellers: don't go fine jump
Charming and welcoming wine company with a beautiful history that makes the tour a true spectacle. The guides make every walk very fun, it looks like a stand up. At the end you win a beautiful cup... don't miss going to this place on your trip to Chile
For those who like to know the culture and history, without much frufru ala Broadway, and excellent, I loved the tour we tried grape grape amei
Excellent walk. All very nice and very well explained by the guide Alfredo (Come and funny) We recommend ; )
Guided visit of excellent quality. Good wines and quite affordable price in the store. I bought two wines and we won two cups and we tasted four wines.
Very good! It's worth it. Courtesy, education and charism, besides the excellent wines! The guide Alfredo is great and very extroverted! Congratulations to everyone!
Good expertise- friendly- calm- understandable and humorous A beautiful winery with a perfectly designed garden , the cultural museum section is presented and designed to a very high standard. Our TourGuide had its first English speaking group Super Alfredo! Thank you
Beautiful landscape and organization in the vineyard. The Guide Alfredo very friendly and lively with the whole group. The tasting was great, lots of wine options.
I really liked the Undurraga wine. Our Guide was Alfredo, an extremely fun young man, an Attraction apart and who told a little about the history of the winemaking, how the wines are prepared and provided a tasting of 4 wines at the end. The vineyard is beautiful and it is worth taking the wines from the vineyard, the prices are even better than those from the markets and we won the gift cup.
A very comfortable, informative, beautiful and well-guided tour by the German. 90% of the audience is Brazilian during the tour, where the Guide explains the best way....passes through all parts of the process. At the end there is the tasting of the wines and sparkling and after the tasting has a visit to the wine shop.
The place is very beautiful, the explanations of our Guide (Rodrigo) were very rich and easy to understand, made the tour very pleasant. The wine tasting is very complete and organized, in addition to their own quality, it is fantastic.
One of the best tours we did the Guide Matias was attentive, well-humored and with great knowledge about the process of making wines! It was an excellent tour, we won the tasting cups at the end of the tour and we still bought some good quality wines.
Nice environment for walking and taking photos. Great explanations about the wines and the Guide Alfredo made the tour quite fun.
We went in family and even in the cold and with two children the Guide Alfredo was very attentive and patient. The q is not very common among Chilians. The vineyard is beautiful even in the winter with its dry and leafless grapes. But we will definitely return in the summer or in the harvest season
The thanks and compliments go to the Guide Alfredo. Undoubtedly the most extroverted, friendly and helpful Guide of all. In addition, the experience itself is pleasant and profitable.
The place is beautiful but the vineyard is poorly ⁇ ined, the tour is more of the same, the bathrooms are dirty. Tasting is rushed, not pleasant. Wine is cheap there. It is not worth it, choose a Winery with a different experience.
We indicate much the walk. Besides being close to the capital Santiago the winemaking is a grace and our group went with the Guide Alfredo, who was excellent from beginning to end, super attentive, cheerful and fun, besides giving the explanations and has a great Portuguese! It was super worth it!
I went to Vinícola on 06/08, in the afternoon. Our Guide was a gentleman named Germán (or Agostinho Carrara, as he himself ⁇ to be his Brazilian name... Hahaha). The tour began with the presentation of the Guide, where from the very first moment he showed himself attentive and very well-humored, thus remaining throughout the entire route. The tour was quite informative and with a difference of having been talked about the process of production of white and red wines (Information I did not have in other wineries, being a very positive point). At the end there was the wine tasting, being presented excellent wines with a great taste, finished in the shop of the vineyard where I could buy various wines at very affordable prices. My thanks to the Guide Germán for past information and for the tour.
Delicious tour with wine tasting and a tour of the vineyard with very attentive guides. The place is beautiful, the story of the vineyard is told, and the store has fair prices.
The vineyard garden is beautiful to take pictures, but the tour is actually pretty superficial, not worth it. Wines are good with nice price.
Location close to Santiago. Very nice place. We made wines. We can taste premium quality wines. Very well received by Mr. Matias. Very affordable price.
I loved the tour of the vineyard. Very well explained by the Guide Matias. We know the plantations, details about the history of the vineyard. The tasting was delicious and well explained. The value of the store was fair.
It was an amazing experience to meet the Undurraga vineyard! The Guide Matias explained clearly and with great passion the way the wines are produced, and we also tasted (well served cups) 4 wonderful wines from the vineyard! We win the toast cup and a bottle of wine!
Completely amazing tour, very explaining. Special thanks to our Guide Alfredo, extremely receptive, very funny and learned to explain perfectly about all the details of the vineyard. I loved!
Very pleasant. It seems to be a tour that is not as commercial as other places and the guide Matias is very friendly. We received a glass of wine and a mini bottle of wine after the tour.
The ChilenJoy agency is excellent! Punctual, polite and pleasant drivers. Flexible payment methods and fair prices, I loved the experience! I took 3 tours with them: Farellones, Undurraga + Largest swimming pool in the world + Isla Negra and also Alyan winery!
