Very good! We had to pivot after our other tour cancelled - this turned out even better! Alejandro delivered excellent commentary in 3 languages (the English was just for us) en route, and led a very chill bike ride through the vineyard with more insight about Chilean wine. The winery guide took over - a nice walk through the gardens, then a tour of the bottling/manufacturing area - followed by 4 tastings! We capped it off with the picnic (they had veggie options for us) with more delicious wine! The final hour or so was at the Museum of the Andes, which was well written in English and rivaled the Museum of PreColumbian Art in Chile (at no extra cost)! Jaime (the driver) got us around well too - great day!

120 horas experience: when I won the 120 horas experience I did not realise just how much this would be a once in a lifetime experience. From start to finish everything was flawless. Our journey began in the Santa Rita Vineyard. We toured the Vineyard, done a wine tasting, walked around the museum. We also enjoyed a beautiful breakfast and lunch. Later that evening we had a spectacular bbq. The staff truly went above and beyond. The hotel and the grounds of the Vineyard are so picturesque. The next day we headed off to the airport to start our adventure in Easter Island. Upon arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks and a tour of Hotel Nayara. The hotel is breathtaking with amazing views. Our meals and tours where all included. Everyday we toured a different part of Easter Island and where thought about the history of moai and the island. The trip was carefully planned out so that we could make the most of everyday. We enjoyed fabulous meals, cultural shows, a beach day, and of course delicious wine. I can not express my gratitude to the 120 team. Gonzo, Santi, Juan, and Carolina they truly made us feel like family. Our comfort was of most importance to them throughout the whole trip. Thank you 120 for a trip of lifetime
Alejandro was an excellent host interesting especially explaining history of Chilean wine industry
Janis and Matias did a great job! Janet is a great driver! The tour was amazing. The tour guides did a great job at explaining everything.
Do not give your drivers licence to the cafe for an exchange for the picnic basket that is provided with the tour!!! They lost my license and were not cooperating with even trying to find my ID. Not a secure way of protecting anyones identity! File a police report of this it happens to you! Obviously this wasn't the first time this happened at this winery!! Our guide had to investigate with security and their cameras of the staff. We lost an hour of our tour due to this security nightmare! The cafe staff gave my ID to another customer on our tour. The tour was not worth the $$. We signed up for the bike tour and got a different tour.
Horrible experience! No communication of where exact pick up location. Told to go to a vacant parking lot. We were shuffled onto several buses and thought we were on the bicycle tour and were obviously on the bus of another tour. The Cafe La Panaderia at Santa Rita vineyard wud only give us our picnic basket in exchange of a drivers license. Upon return of our basket, they lost my drivers license. Stolen identity/security issue! My id was needed to get back to my country! We spent the last hour of our tour to find my id. So happen my id was within another participants id. Poor security on behalf of the Viator/ Santa Rita Cafe staff! If you encounter this, please file a police report! So much for touring the vineyard!
A great tour mostly because our guide named Alex was smart, informative and had a good sense of humor, and the wine was excellent also.
PICK UP: On time (between 8 and 9am) from our hotel. I would also note that I had to change our hotel pick up location due to a hotel issue so we went to a Turistik kiosk in San Cristobal, and Oscar was very friendly and helpful. DRIVE THERE: Octavio was a great driver, and Josefa was friendly and fun, teaching us about the Chilean drinking culture and the Santa Rita vineyard. BIKE TRIP: Gorgeous bike ride through the vineyards to Carmen, a winery within Santa Rita to learn about the wine-making process. Then we biked to a lovely shaded area where Josefa surprised us with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from Carmen! Refreshing wine and lovely time. Then we biked back and had our official wine tasting (separate review of Santa Rita). Overall: so much fun, highly recommend!
It was great. Daniel was very patient and friendly. We were picked up and dropped off on time. Half a day tour is just the right amount. We loved it.
We went to Santa Rita and Daniel was our tour guide with brilliant English. We got to sample lovely wines, the local guide was very knowledgeable too.
I would not recommend this tour to anyone. First of all, the communication is absolutely terrible. After booking, I received zero information. I used all the options I could find for the company and finally got some contact the (late) afternoon the day before the tour. It had been unclear whether or not we would be on the hotel pick-up route or meet at the 'pick-up point'. They finally confirmed we would be picked up. Then they were 30 mins late to pick us up and, again, I had to call them to get any kind of update. After they picked us up, we drove for about 5 minutes to the 'pick-up point' where everyone dispersed onto different buses. If we had known exactly where the 'pick-up point' was, we could have just walked there but the information provided was so vague we had no idea where it was or that it was so darn close. If the company improved their communication even slightly, it would help. Now, on to the actual tour, it was so bad I won't even go into all the details. Here is the summary: do not expect any kind of real bike ride. It was an extremely short distance. We also stopped every two minutes. We had two tour guides and had a group of two different language speakers. It would have been great if they had split the group at the stops and each guide delivered the info to one group in their language. However, they kept us all together and then did the same presentation twice--one language after the other. You can imagine how much longer this made the day go with half of the time being rather boring. They also make it seem like you get a wine tasting at a few places which is not the case. You get no wine during the drawn-out, short-distance bike ride and then get 3 tastings at the winery where the tour started. This may not have been too bad if the wine at the one place you get any wasn't terrible. I couldn't even drink some of it, it was so bad. Lastly, there was no time to explore anything on your own (not that there was much else to see besides the gift shop) and then got back on the bus. All-in-all, a total waste of time and money. We used a different tour company for each excursion during our trip and Turistik Chile was the worst.
So much fun!Josefa made it a very memorable experience with a fantastic sense of humor and her knowledge of the beautiful maipo valley and the Santa Rita winery. Wonderful wine and great company. I very much recommend turistik and Santa Rita winery!!
The highlight of the tour were the two amazing girls that toured us around! The location was stunning. The cycling easy and very enjoyable. I had fun and learnt a lot of new things about wine, from how it’s produce to how appreciate it in a beginner (like me!) tasting crush course 😊 I’m sure all Turistik guides are good, but if I was to come back I’d definitely ask for Valentina Tapia and Angel. Fun, learning and great time guaranteed!!! Thank you ladies for the fabulous tour!!
This is a very very nice tour. A comfortable ride to the vinyard, with a pick up from the hotel. The winery is far away so unlike what I read in some other reviews, it is a decent ride out. Our tour Eduardo (who spoke both English and Spanish) had excellent knowledge of the entire process and patiently explained it to us. It was very insightful and enjoyable. The cycling through the vineyard was the way to see it, as it gives you access to the factory to see the production process and aging rooms. And cycling was too much fun. Nelson who drove the bus was also extremely safe and patient. Highly recommend the tour and ask for Eduardo and nelson
Excellent from the start. The Bus ride was very smooth with a very knowledgeable guide, Javiera, that introduced the vineyard before we got there. Once the tour started our guide Matias was extreme melt patio at and very informative the history, the wine, and the compound in its entirety. Had an amazing time exploring the vineyard couldn’t ask for a better tour! Thank you Javiera, Leonardo and Matias for a great day!!
What a great trip! We had a brilliant guide in Ashleigh and our driver Leonardo and had a fab half-day cycling around the vineyards. The scenery is gorgeous and tranquil with lots of bird life and Ashleigh brought to life the history of the vineyards. She had concealed a nice treat for halfway round! Our bike ride was around 9.7 km but all flat with no traffic. We then went to a tasting that was brilliantly conducted by Catalina. The wines in the shop are really well priced from a uk perspective. All in all, this is a wonderful introduction to Chile for us, thank-you.
Looking forward to a lengthy ride through the Maipo Valley I was disappointed that the ride was very short from the Santa Rita Winery to the Carmen Winery. While our guide was quite learned in wine lore the ride was short and my bike in need of maintenance. Perhaps given the condition of the bike I should be grateful that the ride was short. All in all disappointing.
Disclaimer - I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I had a lot of fun riding a bike to get around to the different parts of the vineyards and learn about the process of creating wine. It was a good way to combine being active with a traditional tasting. The riding wasn't strenuous, fine for all ages. Victor led a great tasting too! He was friendly and informative, and we got to keep the glass as a souvenir.
This tour promised three wine tastings and provided only one plus a 'surprise' bottle of wine to share which wasn't even from any of the wineries on the tour. We did not start the tour until 10.30 due to late buses and hanging around at their main centre and had to be back on the bus by 1pm. A short tour of one winery after a bike ride and a wine tasting where we started was the sum total for more than $80 each. Very disappointing and not recommended.
very nice tour ! Javier was our tour guide, we toured the vineyard on our bikes. Very easy ride with a few stops but I would not say it is the advertised 10km. We finished the tour at Santa Rita for wine tastings with Victoria , she was very dynamic and it was a lot of fun !
We had a fantastic time on our tour today. Our guide (Ignazia) was so much fun! She made the bus journey enjoyable and interactive between all the people on the tour and her languages were so clear and precise. The wine we had was delicious and biking through the winery was a delight. Highly recommend for a small tour or only if you have a short amount of hours to spend in Santiago.
My wife and I took this tour last minute. It was really great. Our tour guide, Valintina was super knowledgeable and very chill. The weather was perfect. I wish we had more tie to hang at the Vinyard!
Today I took the wine + bike tour at Santa Rita winery. Such a great experience. All pergectly coordinated, our guide Valentina with strong knowledge in wine processes, all time taking care of us, as well as Mauricio. Thanks a lot for this great day.
This was our first time in a winery, and it was perfect, the bike tour is worth it! The company comes very early in the morning for pick us in our hotel, the young guide was Jorge and Omar our driver, the landscape of the pre mountain range is magnificent with all the vines in the middle, the explanations about the grapes and wine production was very good and we spend a nice tour with the group in general, also we loved the Carmenere and the history is so interesting Thanks for all and we will comeback for see other wineries in the future!
Santa Rita winery is well known for the quality of its products, and the place is very beautiful and full of history. I made this trip with Touristik, which provided the bus trip and the bikes. We cycled around the winery, stoping in some places where the careful and friendly guides Jorge and Alejandro explained about details of the different grapes available and wine production. After this overview, you are brought to the main building to attend a short movie about the history of the winery and then after you join small groups to start the tastings with a local sommelier. You can spend time in the winery shop, taking advantage of the promotions and discounts to improve your wine cellar. Indeed, a very nice morning!
I took the Santa Rita Wine Tour by Bike March 2nd, and had a great time. First, Turistik's customer service helped me via WhatsApp to change my tour date, and then later the pickup location. Very helpful and easy. Second, the pick-up/drop-off was very convenient. They came to my door at my hotel to pick me up and they offered to drop me off at my hotel or another location (certain main locations). This worked out well since I needed to pickup laundry. The biking was fun, and although it was early, it worked out better this way because it wasn't too hot in the AM. It was nice to see different parts of the vineyard and learn about the wine-making process. There was not a lot of different wines available for tasting if you are looking to get tipsy on bottles and bottles of wine, but you'll learn about the different kinds, what to look for in the samples, and healthy amount of each to test. The stores also have some foods for tastings and you can buy anything you might need after. I'd highly recommend requesting Valentina as the tour guide! She has very good English and was switching back and forth seamlessly. She is also very funny and brought a good energy to the tour to make sure everyone was having fun. She answered all my questions and is the type of guide you hope for on these tours.
A smaller van picks you up at your hotel and then takes you to a Turistik bus. The bus is clean and smooth. If you get car sick (like I do) this bus shouldn't be a problem. Ignacia gave a tour in English and Spanish along the way. She is full of energy and very friendly and knowledgeable! She also led our smaller group (only 4) on a bicycle tour around the vineyard which was lovely. She had a nice surprise for us too. Then we went back to the Santa Rita buildings for a tour with a guide there and tasting. The second half of the tour (tasting) was a little rushed to get back to the bus. Otherwise we really enjoyed the tour. Special thanks to Ignacia!
There's nothing like a little exercise to ease the conscience before drinking wine at noon :) We learned a ton about wine and the history of the region. Fantastic way to spend a morning out of Santiago. Valentina was a delight and put up with all our questions...she even gave us a nice surprise midway through the ride! I highly recommend this excursion!
Javiera and her team were excellent on this half day tour. Everything was explained as we went along with the non bike part of the tour going their on way when we arrived at the vineyard. The bikes were made ready and our small group set off. We stopped at various parts of the vineyard with Javiera and Antonio giving nice little bits of information of the vines and the history of the vineyard. Not very far to ride and nice and easy. We then had a tasting of 3 wines.
This is a really enjoyable tour if you are looking for something to fill a half day outside of Santiago. Our guide, Javier, was lovely and really passionate about wine! The tastings were delicious and the vineyard is beautiful. The cycling is quite minimal - we would have happily cycled for much longer - so don't let that put you off. It's a lovely way to do a wine tour.
My partner and I did this bike and wine tasting tour and were very disappointed. We were picked up early and taken to the winery (before breakfast), and quickly ushered onto some bikes. Unfortunately people in our group were extremely unfit and should not have taken this trip. As such our 10km ride was shortened to 2km to wait for 45minutes for a bus to pick them up and take them back. We sat on a dirt driveway instead of wine tasting or riding. We were then asked whether we wanted to ride OR taste wine... the whole point of the trip was to do both. We raced around the winery and back to do a tasting ... which I had to pour out on the side of the road before racing back to town (still without even having a meal yet as we were all too rushed). We had no indication of timing via the website, and thought we'd have time to enjoy the winery. We had no free time whatsoever and wasted our money. The wine tasting on the bike ride was a single bottle of wine in the tour guide's backpack, not a cellar door. I didn't even have one full glass of wine on this tour.
Our bicycle tour of the Santa Rita vineyards was thoroughly enjoyable. Our guide, Nataschia was really excellent, with a wealth of knowledge about the wine-making process and the region we were visiting.
Me and a coworker are in town for UFC for work but had a day off. We chose to go wine tasting and ride bikes. The group we were in had such a great time with Ignacia and Trinidad. They explained so much about Santa Rita and went into such detail about everything on our bike tour around the winery. After that we went wine tasting and the wine was wonderful! Well worth the tour!!
I really enjoyed the bike and wine tour, Our guide Javier was very knowledgeable and explain with passion every single detail of the wine process. I learned a lot and enjoy all the wine tastings
The bike and wine tour is a great way to visit the winery. Our knowledgeable guide Daniel spoke excellent English and coped well with a mixed ability group of cyclists and a puncture! The highlight for me was the tasting in a shelter in the middle of the vineyard. My only criticism was we were a little rushed at the end of the tour as another tour group were waiting to leave.
We booked our tour with the hotel, all pick ups and transfers were exellent. with a final drop near our next tourist visit. Jaime was our guide on Friday the 16th February, we were Tony & Sue from the UK and a wonderfull homemoon couple from New York. The tour was excellent, even when my bike chain broke, Jamie ran with my broken bike a good mile in 33 degrees heat back the the Vine Yard, so we could complete the tour. Good value, but do the bike tour not just the Vine Yard

Nice tour and would definitely recommend. The wine tasting host, Carlos (lol), was well informed and charismatic.

We had a brilliant time cycling through two vineyards if the Maipo valley including the Santa Rita vineyard. We had 4 wines to taste and even got to keep the glass at the end (fingers crossed in won't break in our backpacks!) Our tour guide Dieter was amazing, his English was perfect and he was very knowledgeable about the vineyards, answering any question we threw at him! This was the highlight of our trip to Santiago and was the perfect way to end our time here. I think the price is reasonable for the quality of the trip you receive although at first glance we thought it might be a little steep - definitely worth it! I would suggest having breakfast or taking a snack with you as 4 wine tastings in an empty stomach might be a little risky! Thanks Turistik for a great trip!

This was a fabulous tour! Our guide, Valentina was warm and friendly and gave us lots of useful information about Santiago and wine making in Chile. She took us on the bicycle ride through the vineyard which was enchanting. To get so close to the wine making process, to walk past stacks of barrels in the warm, moist air of the store was amazing. She stopped in shady places to explain the different parts of the vineyard as we rode through. Her English was excellent. Back at the centre, Victor's wine tasting taught me more about wine than many a presentation. Thank you! The drawback to the tour? I needed more time in the museum. To see the collection of gold artefacts alone is worth the trip and there are some wonderful textiles. But I've discovered I can buy wine from the Santa Rita winery from Majestic Wines, UK. Result!

Perfect experience. Very prompt pickup at the hotel This was an easy going bike ride thru the vineyards. Bikes older but in good condition. You're not doing the Grand Prix on this ride so the bikes were just fine. Daniel was our guide and quite knowledgeable on beverages, grapes, wines and the wine making process. Professional tour splendidly executed between Spanish (Amigos) and English (Friends).

This was an amazing tour and a great way to spend valentines day. We had so much fun. The paths were clear and the biking was not overwhelming. The tour was really cool, we got to go through the vineyards and find out about the growing process, the bottling process and the aging process. We also got to sample some amazing wine, it was a great tour and I'm glad we did it!

This is a fun way to visit an attraction, and to see the countryside around the winery. I would suggest they give a small snack as it is hard to drink thee glassss of wine with an empty stomach. I also was told when I got back that there is a smalll church somewhere close by. The guide was fun and encouraging.
Fernando and Trinidad took me out for a lovely morning in the Santa Rita vineyards, just outside Santiago. It was a shame it was misty in the morning as I felt there was a lot more to see but it was good to pootle around the vineyards all the same. Trinidad was knowledgeable about the wine and answered lots of our questions. The tasting at the end was a highlight of course.

We signed up for the bike tour in anticipation that we would be able to experience more than the standard tour. Traveling to the winery we asked our guide Daniel if we could taste more premium wines He said yes, plus we would be able to see the museum and if we wanted to stop at the cafe. He LIED.

We read some previous adverse reviews but our experience was pretty good. Our pick up was on time, the drive out painless and we had time for a coffee at the winery before cycling off. I think we're bikes were okay for what is a simple cycle along the tracks through the vineyard. The tasting was good but as we were late coming back from the cycle ride, a little rushed. Our guide, Daniel, worked hard and was very pleasant.
Excellent hosing skills by tour guide Maricel. It was an unforgetable experience, including the information shared by Maricel on the history of wine in Chile.

Picked up 15 min early from hotel and dropped off at tour bus depot which was extremely confusing. Once on our correct coach the rest of the day was great. Tour guides were terrific. Beautiful scenery and an easy bike ride. Bikes could use some attention though.

Brilliant tour , but they dont pick you up from all the hotels , I had to use a taxi to get to the pick up pint although my hotel was in the centre

Save your money and skip the bike tour. The bikes are old and in terrible shape. The view is monotonous, but bottom line, you spend all your time on the bike and end up being rushed through the remainder of the tour. You do not get to see the winery at Santa Rita, you do not have time to view the museum or shop. We weren't even allowed time to run into the cafe to purchase an empanada for the ride home. I'm sorry that we wasted our time and money on this tour.

This tour was not very well organised - we had arranged to be picked up from our accommodation but on the morning of the tour, nobody showed up to collect us. We waited for over half an hour then rang the company, only to be told that somebody had come to collect us but we hadn't been there and there were photos to prove it, which was a very strange statement!. We had been there since before the agreed pick up time so this wasn't true. There was no apology, after a long discussion on the phone they said that they would send somebody else to collect us.
When we finally arrived at the vineyard, the coach picking up everybody else was late so we had half an hour to wait.

Moving onto the tour itself, we were told to just pick a bike and the tour guide sped off into the distance! It was difficult to keep up at times. Unfortunately one of our group fell off her bike, but the tour guide was so far ahead she hadn't noticed.
We received some information as we travelled around the vineyards in English and Spanish, was which quite interesting, and had a little bit of wine to taste on the way round.

When we got back to the centre at the end of the tour, half the group were still cycling and the other half were sat down inside wine tasting! Everything seemed very rushed. We had 15 minutes or so to taste three wines which were all very nice. Its just a shame that we didn't have longer to enjoy the experience.

Overall, I would recommend a trip to this vineyard as the views were spectacular and the wines were really nice. But I wouldn't recommend going through this company, its probably best to book with another or go there independently.
