Itinerary
Founded in 1885 by Don Francisco Undurraga, this is one of the oldest wineries in Chile. Located in the Maipo Valley, you will learn about the founder and how he planted the first grapes which marked the beginning of a project that spanned the main areas of the country including Alto Maipo, Leyda, Rapel and Cauquenes among others. With 130 years of experience, the unique wines Vina Undurraga have specific origins and reflect the best of the land and valleys of Chile.During your tour, you will witness the centennial history of the vineyard and learn, through a glass of wine, the riddles, flavors and aromas of these famous wines. The tour of the winery lasts around 1 hour 15 minutes and includes a complete visit to the park, as well as a stop at the corner Aliwen vineyards, the soil pit, the vinification plant, garden varieties, cellars, and ends with a wine tasting of 3 reserve wines (depending on availability) and a glass as a gift.

We were notified just a couple of hours before the tour was scheduled to begin that the tour had been cancelled without providing us any specific reason. They offered to reschedule but we were only in town for a short time before the start of a cruise and this was the only time that would have worked. We were really disappointed because we were looking forward to doing a winery tour and tasting while we were here, and such late cancellation precluded us from coordinating something else. Also, it was a Monday which means that the museums were all closed, so we were left with not much else to do for the afternoon. Very disappointed.
We signed up for the afternoon tour, they contacted us quickly explaining that the tour was only offered in Spanish at that time, we couldn’t do the morning, so decided that wine was wine and we’d be fine. We were running a few minutes late and our driver very kindly waited for us. He spoke very little English, but used his phone to translate, so all was good. We picked up 4 more folks, and heading to the vineyard. It would have been great to hear information as we drove through the city picking up the rest of our group, but better safe than him translating through his phone while driving. Undurraga is a beautiful little oasis in the Maipo Valley. The tour, which ended up being in English, took us through the park and through the winery ending with a liberal wine tasting of 5 of their wines. Being kind of a wine snob, the wines were ok. We bought a bottle of their higher end petite sirah to try later. It was a nice diversion in Santiago.
Nice tour of the winery. Educational in regards to the native peoples. Great guide and GREAT WINE. 🍷
Lovely vineyard and the wine-tasting was very generous with 5 good sized samples. The shop is very reasonable there too. The only downside is that the tour is entirely in Spanish so we struggled to understand the guide.
Amazing experience which would have been rated 5* however, it was in Spanish, although it says online they provide an English tour. Luckily, my wife and I got the gist of the tour due to previously doing one elsewhere, however, this is a heads-up for non-spanish speaking tourists wanting to sample the local wine. This is not a slight on the vineyard and we would probably have done the tour anyway, but should've been mentioned that it is only in Spanish.
Lovely half day trip to a great winery! Our guide was so informative about the history of the winery, history of wine in Chile, the vines, the process and about the 4 wines we tasted! We even got to keep our wine tasting glass! ☺️
Fabulous and informative afternoon tour. Benjamin at the winery was fabulous. Our driver was prompt and lots of fun
The driver was efficient and timely. The tour was in English and fantastic! Small groups, nice information from our guide , Fernanda. She is knowledgeable and passionate about wine. Wonderful experience!
Had fun at wine tasting. Pablo, our driver was professional and took good care of us. The tasting was good and the wines were good. Keep in mind that the winery is from 1885, so lots of aged parts and new parts but something to see if u are interested in Chile wines. Was a good time
I really enjoyed viewing this beautiful and historic winery. It was interesting learning about the wines and the viticulture practices. We also learned about some of the special trees of Chile.
Well organised and informative two person tour. Great to see whole process from pruning vibes to making and storage. Really good wine to taste. Great shop.
The guide was great and the place very beautiful. We tried four different kinds of wine and got the glass as a souvenir. They have a little store where we bought many things but most of the wines can be bought in regular grocery stores. Don’t forget to bring a camera or your cellphone to take pictures ;)
Excellent guide, loved it, very attentive with transport and punctual.
Very good tour, the vineyard is beautiful, super careful, lots of scenery, our guide German was super friendly
I loved seeing the wine! The place is very beautiful, we know a bit of the history and obviously how the wines are preserved, etc. There is a tasting at the end and we won the brand cup.
Lousy logistics and driver. The rude driver. The Undurraga vineyard and the guide were spectacular
Overall very good! Driver and good car condition! The guide of the vineyard, excellent! We tasted 5 wines, if I could wish it was more detailed and time-consuming, the whole presentation and tasting. But logistics to pick up and deliver the hosts takes a long time, I understand but it's tired
The tour of the vineyard was great, very instructive, the guide Germán was very attentive and willing with all attendees, the wines very delicious all. It's a great experience
It is worth visiting the winery Undurraga, for its beauty and quality. You notice all care in the production of their wines. The place is very beautiful and pleasant.
We love the experience. We had already visited other wineries in Brazil and other countries, but, for sure, this one was the best! The guide very well-humored and willing to solve all our doubts. Super punctual on all issues, from the Enterprise that picked us up at the hotel, to the start time of the tour. I recommend bringing cameras as the place is very beautiful. We still win a souvenir cup.
