Itinerary
We will pass to your hotel at 1:00 p.m., to arrive after 40 min. to Pirque where the visit begins in Don Melchor square, where tourists will be greeted by a guide, who will invite you to enjoy a panoramic view of the Pirque vineyard accompanied by a glass of wine, so that you can soak up aromas and flavors that emerge step by step in this hundred-year-old cellar. With the glass in your hand, the visitor takes part in a walk through the old park, going back in time to appreciate the Casona de Pirque, residence of the Concha y Toro family. In this place, the largest viticultural company of our country was born more than 100 years ago. In the vineyards of Pirque you will be able to know the development of the vines, cultural and technological management that are responsible for a first quality yield. To get to know the old facilities and witness the legend, Viña Concha y Toro offers you a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Three reasons for the poor rating: 1) They actually sent a standard mini van with not 3 but 4 rows of seating and crammed 8 adults. No body was especially large but 6 inches of leg room is ridiculous. One passenger had a wheelchair that was stuffed in between 4 passengers. A deathtrap if we had an accident. 2) our 40 min travel took 2 hrs because they made so many inefficient stops to fill every seat. 3) Customer service just didn't care. The vinyard itself was great and the wine great too. I would definitely go, but with a different tour. First time I ever had such an experience. I hope they fix it.
We tested 7 wines. The last 4 tastings were paired with different type of cheese. We were a small group of 5 people which made it nice. I liked the idea that it was an afternoon tour rather than early morning .
I booked this tour with an English speaking guide on November 14, 2023 for Monday December 11 at 8:30am. On Sunday December 10th, the tour operator sent a message changing the tour with the English speaking guide to the afternoon. I was out on a day tour of Santiago at the time and did not see the email until I returned to my hotel after 4pm. I replied to the email at about 4:30pm saying that the change to the afternoon would be fine as long as I was back to my hotel by 6pm. I was flying home that evening. I needed to shower, change clothes, finish packing, get to the airport, get through security, etc. and felt that i needed to leave the hotel no later than 7pm. The tour operator replied that I would not be back to the hotel before 7:30pm and that they would cancel my reservation and give me a refund. I looked through Viator and could only find one other half day winery tour (for Underraga, instead of Concha & Toro) for December 11th. I attempted to make a reservation for that tour at 5:45pm. I went to sleep around 10pm an awoke to a message stating that the second tour operator declined the reservation. I had arranged to be in Santiago for three nights specifically for a tour of Valparaiso/Vina del Mar (day 1), a tour of Santiago (day 2), and a winery tour (day 3). I wasted $423.78 for the hotel night due to this incompetent tour operator. I had nothing to do on Monday December 11th except to lay around the hotel room, or walk around the streets close to the hotel. I feel the tour operator owes me a refund for the wasted hotel night.
The tour is quite short, but enough to get to know the history of the place and to try some of their wine. Friendly staff. We went in the low season, so it was nice and not crowded at all.
Not only were the grounds gorgeous and the wines sublime, the topper to this tour was being able to try lots of different wine grapes right off the vines. Fantastic!

MY sisters and I had a great time here, it reminded me of wineries in Tuscany. There was a video that told us of old stories about the families business and the grounds were very nice to walk around. I would have enjoyed a few more samples of wine on the tour but they gave us a free wine glass gift as part of the tour.

As for the pick up arrangements from the hotel, despite confirming our pick up date and time within the requested time frame, there was a last minute change in our pick up time. We were not given enough warning about the change and not sure why it was pushed back 90 minutes. Our driver did show up at the new time relatively promptly and then waited for us while we were on our tour. He also put on an English radio station for us.

Tour was in English and fun!

This is a nice trip. You pay to have a guided tour on winery. It's nice, well organizei and short tour. I recommend going on March, when the threes are full of grapes.

Beautiful place, but little informations tecnical about wine production

We were picked up at 12:30 PM, as scheduled, by a van with a driver and a guide.
Instead of going directly to the winery, we were led to a restaurant in Pirque El Manso Toro. No other options were offered. Even as we had already eaten, we decided to try it out. Service was terrible, the ambient was inadequate, as it was open and hot, without air conditioning, and there were flies over the tables. Price was higher than the food quality deserved. It took us more than one hour, after what we were rushed into the winery.
The tour at Concha y Toro was only OK, as the grapes garden walk was short and superficial. The wine tasting was OK, but the same glass was used for both tastings. The Casillero del Diablo cellar was less than interesting, as the video effects were only basic. Even our 12 years old son wasn't impressed.
Concha y toro's site informs that people under 18 doesn't pay entrance fee, but the tour price was the same for our 12 years old son.
To summarize, the service provided was only a transfer service, without any significant benefit from the guide presence. We lost more than one hour of the 4 hours of the tour at the restaurant and the price paid was therefore inadequate for the services provided.

It was raining a lot when we did, but most of the tour was in covered spaces, so it was still possible to enjoy well!
I expected more I thought they became very commercial, lost exclusivity. They're accelerating the tour to follow up with the next class. Could be better in my opinion
We went alone with a rented car. We departed from the center of Santiago and the journey was very peaceful. The place is too beautiful. We went on a Friday and it was quite busy. They are very strict with tour times.
The whole visit was excellent. But I loved the part of tasting the various grape varieties. It is also worth including the tasting. It was extremely pleasant though it was relatively fast.
Belle winery, beau domaine viticole. Visite sérieuse avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un bon moment. Dégustation de 3 vins + un verre offert en plus.
We learned a lot in the tasting, service and explanations of excellent quality. Place in the middle of nature,l a very nice walk.
The place is very beautiful. The groups are huge, it's not possible that all people in such a large group can listen to the information. Looks more like a race than a visit. The guide is in a hurry to finish. There was a little lady helping serve the tasting, who did not want to give me the third sample of wine suggesting that I would have already served myself. Demonstrating disorganization and arrogance. They put our group in a class already started after they let listen to the beginning of the next group to then invite us to retreat in a poorly polite way. The only attraction for kids is a very sweet sauce served in a cup for 8,000. My daughter was taking pictures with her Legos near a fountain and the guide came up asking who the parents were and asking to get her out of there. Since they don't worry about offering anything interesting to children, at least hire people with more touch. My suggestion is: look for wineries that have the minimum sensitivity to provide entertainment for children or that at least respect them.
I went to the vineyard through a tourist agent, but it is possible to buy the ticket at the portaria and join the groups that are coming. The tour is very interesting, walking through the terrain, seeing the gardens that are huge and well cared for, the planting of grapes, and can even taste the types without commenting on the wine tasting that is accompanied by a guide class. indispensable!
It is worth visiting the vineyard. We did the tour Marques de Casa Concha, with the harmonization of the wines that was quite interesting, before the conventional, which was also great. The Guide is very fun and attentive, not to mention the place and the presentation that are fantastic! For those who go "on account" see in advance their distance from the vineyard, since it is well away from the center, and the chaotic traffic of Santiago can make you miss the schedule!
This is a highly sought after vineyard for visiting. The tour is quite quick but worth knowing a little about casillero del diablo and other wines. Speaking with Brazilians and some Chilean people, they informed that it is not the best vineyard to visit. Since I was just here, I recommend the visit.
It is worth visiting the Concha y Toro vineyard. The facilities are great and the staff very friendly. If you like wines, the half-day visit is not enough to take advantage of all the activities they offer.
Very interesting tour, a journey in the history of the vineyard and its evolution. But a tip, the tour becomes even more interesting on the Marquis Tour with tasting and guided by Sommelier.
We were just me and my wife and we chose to do these excursions by Concha and Toro Wine and it was wonderful. tour guided by a local guide that shows us the main house of its owners, the various types of grapes in the garden of the varieties, the toneis and the way to preserve the various types of wine, and the legend site of the famous wine Casillero del Diabo.
I found the walk unnecessary. I was in the winter period, there were no grapes. It was a short, uninteresting walk.
I always have reservations about very large wineries, as they tend to not be so attentive during visits. The concha y toro was the opposite. The walk is beautiful! We made the mark tour of the house concha and we paid 25mil pesos per Cover. We took 3 wines at the tasting and then we had a mini harmonization class with another 4 wines and a cheese table. We've won the cup and the cheese board.
The vineyard is beautiful, its vineyards and historic buildings are very beautiful and the forest has a breathtaking view! The tour and the tasting are very fast and only commercial!
It was our first trip to Santiago, and it was a disappointment. The tour is extremely commercial. The place is beautiful, but there are other much more interesting wineries to visit. If you want to know Concha y Toro, take the Tour Marques de Casa Concha, which costs approximately 10 thousand pesos (R$ 65,00) more than the Traditional Tour.
The place is very beautiful and interesting, really a first world winemaker. The visit is actually a tour, quite commercial, but very well worth it. Recommended!!
Good wine, but very commercial. We went with a large number of people. Inside there is a restaurant, but we found more expensive than other restaurants we know in Santiago and little food! It is worth buying wines, as they make many promotions!
I expected much more, the visit is fast and the taste very bad, I have visited several wineries and this was one of the worst. In the South of Brazil has more charming excursions, with better reception and tasting unparalleled.
The visit is interesting because you can see the grape plantation, know the process of making the wines, but the visit is focused on the commercial aspect of the vineyard. Anyway, it's worth it.

A expectativa é melhor do que a realidade. Nada que deponha contra o passeio, mas também nada de especial. Um passeio neutro.
