Just done this tour with the wife. It was an excellent tour. It certainly helped having both an excellent driver, Jan and an excellent tour guide Matias. Jan's driving was very safe and would stop for us if we needed to take photos. Also, his English was very good. Matias was very informative on quite a range of different topics. We stopped a couple of times on the way to the Cajon del Maipo. Once there, the hike was pretty easy, so if you're young, or fit you shouldn't have any problems. After the hike we had lunch. Lunch was also very good. We were never rushed either In fact the whole day was a chilled day out. I would definately recommend the tour.

Itinerary
Start of the tour to Cajón del Maipo.
San José de Maipo was founded as a town in 1792 by order of Ambrosio O'Higgins, Governor of Chile and future Viceroy of Peru. In its square is the Parish of San José de Maipo, built in 1854 and declared a National Monument for its historical and architectural value. It is the main meeting point of the town and retains the Andean character that distinguishes it since its founding.
The El Yeso Reservoir is one of Santiago's main drinking water reserves, fed by the Yeso River and the snowmelt from the mountain range. Its turquoise waters, surrounded by Andean peaks, make it one of the most photographed landscapes in Cajón del Maipo. Here you will have time to walk along the shore, take photos, and enjoy the panoramic view.
Gentle hike to Laguna del Encañado, also known as Laguna Escondida, a U-shaped glacial valley surrounded by slopes and native vegetation. From the viewpoint you can see the lagoon nestled between mountains and, with luck, spot condors on the nearby peaks. Upon arrival, an outdoor brunch with views of the mountain range awaits you.
Casa Chocolate is one of the most unique places in Cajón del Maipo, built by hand by the artisan Sergio Andrade with bioconstruction techniques, native woods, and recycled materials. Its fantasy architecture seems taken from a fairy tale. Explore the place and enjoy a sweet snack with hot chocolate, tea, or coffee.

The tour is what really i am expecting.
I had an amazing tour to Cajón del Maipo and Santuario del Río with Turistik. The weather was beautiful, making the stunning scenery even more enjoyable. A special thank you to our wonderful guide, German, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip both informative and fun. Our driver, Hermenes, was once again excellent - professional, safe, and incredibly kind throughout the journey. What impressed me most was their genuine care for their guests. On the way back, they even stopped so I could feed some street dogs, which was a small gesture that meant a lot to me. Their kindness and willingness to go the extra mile made the experience truly special. Thank you, German and Hermenes, for such a memorable day. I highly recommend this tour and hope to travel with you again!
Very interesting trip, beautiful landscape and pool very clean.
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly, 10/10
Our guide Alondra and the driver Pablo were amazing. Beautiful scenery. We booked with Turistik. However we feel that 138,000 Chilean pesos per person was overpriced because the lunch at a lodge with a swimming pool was not worth it. I had a small piece of salmon that was overcooked and a salad. I recommend visiting the cajon but paying less and skipping the lunch and the pool.
The tour was fantastic more than we could have ever experienced
It was a fun tour Hermenes , Luisiana and Ricardo where great and always very attentive and they gave you a lot of information . The trip Was a lot of fun
Alejandro and Leonardo were amazing. They were attentive and friendly. Leonardo drove the hell out of the bus on the mountain roads. Alejandro had a ton of great facts. Wonderful trip
Alejandro was an amazing tour guide - very kind and knowledgeable. Leonardo was a great driver! Got us safely up and down the mountain.
Depends if you really want to see the blue lake cause that’s the only attraction for the whole day from 8am to 7pm. The lunch is so and so. The dessert tiramisu is very good anyway. The spa and the swimming pool is cold and small.
The tour to El Yeso and the spa was a pleasure! Also Fernando and Luciano were fantastic! The trip was very interesting and informative.
Amazing care and attention to detail from Alejandro and Nelson, recommended! We visited amazing places the food was great!
Definitely one of the best excursions I’ve ever had the beautiful mountains tour was excellent entertaining so much to see the food they offered was amazing. I would highly recommend it.
Our guide, Luciano, is very helpful and considerate. We enjoyed our trip, and the relaxing spa and sauna in the Andes. Highly recommend this tour to others.
Excellent locations and views. Perfect way to see more of Andes and life outside the city. The tour guides (Luciano, Janis) and driver (Luis) were fantastic and really made the trip so special. Luciano was very entertaining and informative and made you feel close to Chile culture. The stops along the way were all very special. However, the food at the lunch spa was not good. Salmon was dry and flavorless and pasta was not much better. The spa had huge potential, beautiful location. Though the outdoor pool was frigid & dirty and the sauna wasn’t up to temperature even though we reserved a time. Quite disorganized there. Would recommend this tour highly if they fixed the lunch option and ensured spa was properly functioning and clean.
What a fun and relaxing day! Luis Luciano and Janis were great guides- very informative and friendly. Brunch on the reservoir. Lunch in the mountains with indoor and outdoor pools with sauna and hot tub. Would highly recommend!
This tour was excellent from start to finish. Pablo and Luciano are great guides, very friendly and informative. They were sure to tell us details about the itinerary, and when there will be bathroom breaks. The shuttle was modern and comfortable. Amazing day tour, highly recommend.
Everything was on time and organized. Loved the surprises along the way Luciano was an amazing tour guide - he did an excellent job balancing the commentary in English and Spanish. Luciano’s driving skills is amazing.
Pablo was a very safe driver and Lucíano our guide was funny and entertaining. It was a great day trip from Santiago. The food was great and the sauna at the end was amazing with fab views of the river Maipo!
Pablo and Luciano were amazing guides! Highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants beautiful views and a relaxing time!
I participated alone, but the guide translated for me and was very considerate, making it a really fun tour! I'd like to participate in Embalse el Yeso again around September 🥰
I had an awesome time my guide Germán was really nice, attentive n with a lot of information about Chile. Aldo the driver did an excelente Job driving the high mountains
Great time! Diego was a great host. Ignacio was safe driver. Wonderful views and great way to appreciate the culture and view the Andes. Food and drink was quite good.
Great view, great food, and amazing experience with our guide German! Totally recommend this tour! The lodge is very nice!
I really enjoyed the trip to Cajón del Maipo. Besides the beautiful views and the time in the outdoor hot tub admiring the mountains, the guide was very kind and attentive to everyone — he even learned the names of each participant! At every step, he was sharing the history while interacting with people on the bus. Thank you, Jorge (guide)! Thank you, Leo (driver), for a safe trip!
A must do….very relaxing day trip.. Enjoyed every bit of it. Breath holding views, perfect afternoon at the property with pool, sauna and jacuzzi and an amazing lunch.. not to miss the hot chocolate on the way 🤩
The trip was amazing, the view was breathtaking and I wasn’t expecting the charisma of our tour guide Germán, it made the experience even more memorable! If you’re coming to chile, you have to try any tour of Turistik, you won’t regret!
Our day started with a friendly guide picking us up near our hotel and leading us to the tour bus. Once on board, we met Alejandro and Ronald, who were both incredibly kind and welcoming from the start. Alejandro was very knowledgeable and informative, sharing fascinating facts and historical insights throughout the tour. Ronald, our driver for the day, was equally kind and helpful, providing additional information and ensuring we had a smooth and enjoyable experience. Thanks to both of them, we had a fantastic day exploring Cajón del Maipo. We highly recommend this tour—100%! After the tour ended, they were diligent in dropping us off at a convenient location to easily reach our hotel.
The tour to the hot pools was very relaxing for me. Just what l needed. The landscape of the countryside although rugged possessed a beauty to appreciate. Matias and Ronald were professional and engaging, making sure the tour ran smoothly and everyone was looked after.
Many great views, great moments with nice people. German was the best tour guide. Definitely recommend. There are some spots at Embalse de Yeso that only Turistik has access, so you also have that.
An excellent lunch. The sauna should have been turned when we arrived. Not fault of touristic. Scenic and a nice break from city heat
Spend more time in ek maipo not just a day tour This was a great day though Hot chocolate stop and lots of treats. Great lunch. But spa services weren't included.
German was REALLY excellent - friendly, warm, knowledgeable, some English. Tour was organised perfectly - from the what’sapp message to arrange pick up until the final stop. Spa house is excellent
Lovely trip. The time spent at Cajon del Maipo was amazing. The quiet ambiance against the splendid backdrop of the mountains was simply serene. We had a nice lunch served at El Morado restaurant and there was ample time to enjoy the wide range of activities the spa lodge had to offer which included sauna, gym, swimming or a massage. If you want more down time, you can simply just bring a nice book and enjoy with a nice drink amidst the breathtaking Mountain views or use it for quite reflection/journaling (the world’s your oyster). The stops at San José town and Casa de chocolate were also lovely welcome additions. Finally our tour guide Germán was great. He was very enthusiastic, empathetic and attentive to detail including the needs of the wide range of people attending the tour. The driver Nelson also exercised exceptional skill in navigating the roads and displayed great patience. Overall a great day out and a pragmatic way to see beautiful Chilean landscape that would be difficult to get to otherwise.
An amazing location could stay there for days, photos dont do this place justice. Thanks to Matius, Marcus, and Hector for a great day
We were not provided with any details about the trip - like what to bring for the spa. At the spa, the operators spent too much time speaking to us about how to book the bath, the sauna, etc. They could have handed us the instructions after we had been seated at our lunch. None of the workers spoke English. The pool/spa place has no basic toiletries and no hot water. The place seems to be a work in progress.
Jennifer was the guide for the group and her English was fantastic. She made sure of everyone's safety, care and comfort from the beginning to the end of the trip. She offered suggestions for other places to visit and areas to be more aware in. Her knowledge and patience made it a memorial experience for myself and my wife 💯 ♾️
My wife and I really enjoyed our excursion to the Cajón del Maipo & Lodge at el Morado with a stop at the chocolate house. Jennifer gave us interesting information while Armando, our driver got us safely to and from our destinations. They were both excellent and professional with the services they provided.
A beautiful day in Cajun Del Maipo! Mateus was an excellent guide and Sergio was an excellent driver! We had a wonderful day out. Thank you! If I can give any advice to improve it would be with the ranch we visited to please give more towels and have a hairdryer if possible in the bathrooms!
Alejandro was a great tour guide with mastery of English and Spanish. He’s insightful, entertaining and very personable. Armando navigated the mountain roads like an expert. Overall this was a fantastic excursion - well worth the day to get deep into the mountains without being an experienced hiker. Only complaint is the pools could’ve been hotter on this cold day!
We left on time, the trip was great, nice info from the guide during the ride. Lovely spa, nice lunch options, with saunas, ofuro and heated pools. A great and relaxing experience in the Andes.
Great day, lots of fun. Matias our guide was great. We saw some beautiful sights and everyone had a great time. Lunch was very good too
We did over 10 day tours scross Chile, Peru, Costa Rica and this was the worst The only reason i gave it 3 stars was everything in the description was covered and they did not trick us But, effectively they take you to a run down motel/hotel up in the mountains with a couple of heated jacuzzis and 20 people tried cramming into it My wife n I stayed out and only our daughter got it Definitely not worth the long drive to a couple of hot tubs in my opinion The food was good and transportation was good
It was amazing tour! I’m from Russia (Siberia) didn’t see the snow almost 3 years 🥹 Turistik make my dream come true☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
It was a nice experience and people. The SPA was also very nice, although the outside jacuzzi's limit time was short. The guide was super nice and knowledgeable. The food at the SPA was amazing and the views from another world. Totally worth the price!
This trip was ok, but was lacking in a few areas. Our guide was lovely, and she was super knowledgable being able to fluently speak Spanish, Portuguese and English. Our driver was also very friendly, the coach however was very small and every seat was taken … if you are taller then 5ft10 you will struggle and it made it very uncomfortable for my husband. The stops on the way were a little odd … at one point dropping you in a square for 20mins with very little to see and you were just left to wander. Having said that the drive through the valley was stunning and very pretty to watch out of the window. The spa itself was very picturesque however for us as English speakers with very little Spanish to rely on things got quite difficult. No one spoke any English, and whilst our tour guide said she would help us, she disappeared after food and we couldn’t find her, so ended up only being able to swim and not able to explain we wanted to book the hot tub experience. A real disappointment as this is why we went in the first place. Please not to use the pools you need to wear a swimming hat - we didn’t have any but they did sell them at the spa. 10.000 for 2. Also if you get to use the hot tubs and saunas outside note you will need flip flops or similar to get to them as they are amongst the rocks. Lunch was nice, but cold. We had the lamb and mashed potatoes with a pisco sour. The group we were with were very bad at time keeping and there seemed to be no chasing them up. So when we got back to the bus on time it was easily another 20min minimum wait for the rest of the group. This turned this 8hour trip into almost 12 hours, made worse that we were late leaving the spa so got caught in gridlock Santiago traffic. We eventually gave up waiting to get to our stop and jumped out early to walk the rest of the way. Could have been a good trip, but improvements needed.
Professional guiding by Sofia Punctual. Safe drivning by Salvatore Recommended. Better to take the morning tour to avoid the heat
Excellent tour. The team - Luciano Julio and Ernan were great - particularly Luciano. His commentary and knowledge on local areas were good
Amazing experience! Jennifer our guide was really helpful and gave us lots of good information. Alex the driver did a great job too! The spa in the mountains was a particular highlight. Great value.
