Surrounded by vibrant parks and iconic statues, it marks the entry into Santiago's bustling heart, linking the city's old and modern districts.
Known for its bohemian vibe, Barrio Bellavista is Santiago’s lively nightlife and cultural hotspot. Wander its colorful streets lined with street art, restaurants, pubs, and boutique shops. Here, you’ll find a fusion of traditional Chilean charm and contemporary energy, perfect for discovering local cuisine and artsy shops. It’s also home to Pablo Neruda's La Chascona museum, adding literary history to this dynamic neighborhood.
At the base of San Cristóbal Hill, Patio Bellavista brings together dining, culture, and local craftsmanship. This lively open-air complex features restaurants, cafes, and shops selling handmade jewelry, lapis lazuli, and copper goods — a perfect stop before exploring the hill.
Admire the whimsical world of Pablo Neruda at La Chascona, his colorful Santiago home turned museum. Built for his secret love, it captures the poet’s eccentric spirit, with winding passages, nautical touches, and personal treasures that tell the story of his extraordinary life.
Rise above Santiago at Cerro San Cristóbal, the city’s natural lookout point and iconic green space. Part of the sprawling Metropolitan Park, the hill offers panoramic views, beautiful gardens, and the famous Virgin Mary statue standing 22 meters tall. A peaceful escape in the heart of the city.
Climb to new heights aboard the historic Funicular del Cerro San Cristóbal, in operation since 1925. This charming incline railway carries you up the hillside through lush greenery, offering a nostalgic ride that ends with sweeping views of Santiago from the summit.

Glide above Santiago in colorful cabins aboard the Cable Car of Cerro San Cristóbal. Recently modernized, this scenic ride connects key points of the park, providing unforgettable aerial views of the city skyline, the Andes, and the vibrant neighborhoods below.

Felippo was our guide, he was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Some history, good insights and nice nature
Felipe was knowledgeable and so patient when so many people had to use the banks at different times haha. Learned a lot, saw a lot.
First class tour. Guide was excellent. Would definitely recommend
Fantastic great guide Would totally recommend
Loved the guide Felipe. Very helpful and informative. Knows the area well and has good English skills. Had several restaurant recommendations that proved enjoyable.
We had a fantastic tour with Felipe. He was friendly and shared lots of interesting stories about Santiago’s history and culture. The funicular and cable car rides offered amazing views of the city, and we really enjoyed exploring San Cristóbal and trying the local Mote con Huesillo. Felipe made the whole experience fun and enjoyable.
Great time loads of information an easy to follow along
This is a great introduction to Santiago and perfect to do early on in your stay. My guide Esteban was knowledgeable, entertaining, spoke great English and really helped me get an appreciation for the city and her people. Highly recommend - and apparently morning timeslot is best!
Went by our selves. It was very simple and they do senior citizens
Absolutely Wonderful experience with tour guide Felipe. He was very patient, knowledgeable and passionate about the key landmarks and significance in the city.

Had a very pleasant afternoon with our guide Philipo. The tour includes the funicular train up and cable car down of the Metropolitan Park. Philipo was very passionate about Santiago and very knowledgeable (esp of the trees :-) and would recommend this trip.
Beautiful walk through the city and chance to ride the incline and cablecar. Gorgeous view from top of San Cristobal. Very knowledgeable guide
Great tour, our guide Esteban was wonderful. Very personable, knowledgeable and we appreciated his tour.
Christian was a fantastic guide and was happy to chat about Chilean customs and culture. It was great to have the funicular and cable car tickets organised as we avoided the long queues.
Very good tour -- and informative. Our guide Chris was excellent!
Fantastic guide , Christian . It was a fun afternoon.
Our tour guide was amazing. We enjoyed this experience. Well done Filipo. The tour took little longer than expected, but great overall
The guide, Anto, was incredible. She really equipped the group with tips on how to navigate the city. We took the funicular up to see the Virgin Mary statue and came back with the cable car. Stunning views of the city!
Nacha was a great guide. Easy meeting and covered a lot of ground but unrushed. Overview of BellaVista neighborhood and then great Views of Santiago! Funicular and cable cars were fun.
The Santiago Skyline is THE experience to do in order to have a complete view of the City and to understand its development. There are two lines. The BEST thing to do is to be a combined ticket CABLE CAR + Funicular. On top of both (cumbre), there is a short walking distance...and you can visit the SANCTUARY with the statue of the VIRGIN. The personnel is SMILING and the sisters of the Sanctuary HELPFUL.
We had a phenomenal time with Cristian! He’s super personable and gave us great info on the spots we hit along the tour. Our goal was to see the city from Cerro San Cristobal, and he made it happen!
Our tourguide Esteban was very good. He’s able to give us the history, and the places to recommend to eat/shop, etc. the itinerary was good at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
It was the perfect way to see Santiago. And our guide Christian was super knowledgeable! Only suggestion for improvement is to pick a better meeting point, it was very difficult to find and we came by Uber.
Excellent low stress guided tour to get to see San Cristobal. Nocha is very knowledgeable of the area and of Chilean history. She was easy going and flexible with the desires of the group. I would gladly tour with her again.
We had a great tour with our guide Antonia, who was very knowledgable an also helped us book another tour the next day.
We had a great time with Nacha touring the Bellavista neighborhood, taking the funicular up to Cerro San Cristóbal in Metropolitan Park for gorgeous, panoramic views of the city and the Andes Mountains and taking the cable cars back down. Nacha was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and fun. Great way to spend a few hours. Definitely recommend!
An excellent way to see beautiful views of the city and the Andes. Our tour guide Nacha was great.
I didn't have much time in Santiago so needed to take a local guided tour to maximise the time. This walking tour ticked all the boxes and Stedan the guide was excellent. Great english for us non Spanish speaking people and the walk was great. Thoroughly recommend.
The tour was a really great way to experience some key parts of Santiago. Loved the stops and the history. Nacha was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and pleasant.
For what we thought would be a miserable day this tour made the visit to Santiago really enjoyable. There was only 3 on the tour and our guide was knowledgable and showed us some of the best parts Santiago had on offer. The walk to the Venicular was enjoyable and informative. We didn't have to wait long in a queue to go up and the view was spectacular. Even better when we got right to the top. The weather had also changed for the better with the views to the Andes and greater Santiago City resplendent in all it's glory. The trip down on the cable car was also a highlight. Our trip went about an hour over time and we rewarded the guide appropriately. Luckily we ended up not far from the hotel. Recommend to do if you have limited time. I booked this experience the night before.
Guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We learned many things about the history of Chile, the plants, the animals, the weather, anything that you can think of, and all in perfect English. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great tour with amazing views of the entire city.
Nacha was our guide and she was awesome! It was super easy to find the pickup spot and the whole experience is very smooth! It’s small group (my group has less than 10 people). Highly recommend for solos! Nacha is super patient and gave us a lot of helpful information along the way, including local food / fruits, neighborhoods, and history. The tour itself is awesome, we started at Ballesvista and ended at oasis station with stunning views of the city.
Great touring guide from Nacha, wonderful experience.
Ben was a great guide. He was very informative and gave a great tour, along with recommendations for other things to see and restaurants to visit.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience! Maria Paz was our guide and, right from the start of the tour, she created a comfortable and engaging atmosphere for our group. Her tour comments were much appreciated as she offered thoughtful insights into Santiago landmarks and Chilean culture and history. A very affable individual, Maria offered her help after the tour concluded, suggesting other tours in another city. In short, the tour was superb and our guide even better. I highly recommend both!
This was the best thing to do when arriving in the city. Maria was a superb guide, would highly recommend to anyone visiting
Our tour guide Maria was very impressive. She is very knowledgeable, funny and passionate about sharing information with you.
