An interesting bike ride with Carlos sharing his perspective on recent history in Santiago. Bikes were in good condition and the team friendly and helpful with good English. If you arrive early to the meeting place there is no sign or indication that you are at the right place.

We had an enjoyable ride through the parks and sights of Santiago. Our guide was very informative and we had a lovely sunny afternoon.
What a fabulous experience. Quite a short ride as a lot of talks about what we were seeing. 11 km in three hours. But our guide was so knowledgeable and gave his personal insight into the last 55 years of Chile from socialism to dictatorship to elected govt back and covered civil unrest pre covid by the young wanting a better future. We also discussed independence and the Pacific war - 19 c v Peru and Bolivia which left Chile richer, Peru shrunk and Bolivia landlocked.
We had a fantastic time exploring Santiago by bike with Lauro! He shared interesting insights into the city’s history, politics and culture. Santiago is quite flat and has excellent bike lanes, making it a great city to explore on two wheels. Highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Emilio was one of the most knowledgeable tour guides we have ever had. We learned so much about the Chilean history, political landscape, and we had a great bike ride seeing the beauty of Santiago.
Excellent tour! The tour was just with me and my guide Isabella was fantastic. She was highly educated and informative of the local history and social framework of Santiago and Chile. Saw the key points and I could have kept going all day. The tour group was flexible to vary the start time to avoid potential wet weather.
The bikes were dated but adequate. The heroine of our trip was Ali, our tour guide who loves her country and sharing the history of it.
A great bike tour of Santiago. Diego was so knowledgeable and explained everything about Chile’s history and politics very clearly. I would highly recommend
I did the tour with Laureato and he is an excellent guide. He is young but very well prepared, he knows all the history and answers every question about Chile and Santiago. He is from Chile and very great person. He has no problem with specific curiosities about the city. It's a great way to get to know the city completely. You ride along many routes, past very important historical and cultural buildings and parks. There are many details on every corner to really understand Santiago. Laureato is very knowledgeable about his country and city and anything you need, you can ask him :) Santiago is a very important city for the history of the South, so give yourself the chance to do it. The bikes are in excellent condition, completely safe, and the tour includes ice cream and water. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful experience with Allie. She is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Santiago and Chile. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed this introduction to Santiago!
Diego was an excellent guide for the Santiago Park and Politics Bike Tour. He shared insights into many different aspects of Chile and Santiago, including geography, business, the economy, history, politics, food, entertainment, and tourism. We had a wonderful conversation and learned so much in a short amount of time. He guided us through the city’s most important landmarks and provided helpful local context throughout the tour. I especially appreciated his strong emphasis on safety—he carefully chose the safest routes and guided us confidently through Santiago’s challenging traffic. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Santiago for the first time. It is a great way to quickly get oriented, see the city’s key sights, and gain an authentic local perspective. Diego is a fantastic guide, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
had a good experience. guide was sweet and knowledgeable about the history. she was enthusiastic.
A passionate tour guide, Isabella guided us through a varied tour whilst providing a background to the Chilean political landscape of the past 50 years, in a very honest and informed way.
A great bike ride with our tour guide Isabella, who was very knowledgeable, passionate and fun!.. she informed/ educated us re the more recent political history of Chile, as well as seeing some lovely parks, neighbourhoods and historical buildings etc. Recommend it!
I live the tour! It was amazing to learn about how politics affected the social life and viceversa. Isabella and Diego were kind, and full of knowledge to absorbe in a cool way that my teens could even get motivated to know more about Gabriela Mistral, Allende and more. I definitely recommend to book the tour
After visiting some indoor museums (Chilean Museum of Pre-Colombia Art and National Museum of Fine Arts) we were ready to get back outside. It had rained that morning, and other riders must have been scared off, because we ended up having an afternoon tour by ourselves! The Parks and Politics bike tour was a great chance to see the city in a new light and learn about Chile's history. Our guide Isabella, was knowledgeable and patiently answered all our questions. Well worth the time!
Thanks to our guide alejandra for this great tour and all her explanations! We highly recommend bicicleta verde !
My dad and I had a great time on this tour! Isa was a fantastic guide and helped cater the tour to our prior knowledge which made it a very informative and enjoyable experience!
A great way to see some of central Santiago and hear key parts of its history. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
We first did this tour in 2010, and found it remarkable. Today, in 2026, it is even more relevant to the world's current political crises. To learn, first-hand, about Chile's horrific political past under the Pinochet dictatorship is not necessarily high on one's list of "things to do on a Santiago vacation", but especially for US visitors, it is a subject too close to home. A cautionary tale. La Bicicleta Verde and our guide, Lautaro, used this three-hour bike ride through the beautiful parks and neighborhoods of Santiago as a backdrop for learning. It was not a negative experience, but a reasoned and insightful commentary on a brave Chilean people and their struggle for respect and civil rights without repression. Lautaro's balanced and thoughtful explanations as we worked our way from Bellavista to La Moneda were well-researched, well-delivered, and comprehensive. This is one reason we travel. Too few cities offer such an opportunity to get beneath the superficial surface of a country's history. Bicicleta Verde should be commended for offering this experience. Please add it to your itinerary. It will be unforgettable.
The riding was easy, and the education as thorough as you wanted to make it. Lots of great recommendations, and lots of sights we would not have seen on our own!
Had an awesome bike tour while in Santiago! Diego was kind and knowledgeable. He answered all questions while making sure everyone was safe and enjoying themselves. Definitely recommend :) I’ll be back for the market tour for sure.
Great introduction into Santiago. Our guide Isabella was fantastic! She was very informative and passionate about the history and politics of the city. Able to visit some great sites and a fun way to see the city and learn about its recent past and present. Comfortable bikes, helmets, and easy to follow bike paths! Isabella was the best tour guide! Highly recommend.
A very informative and fun tour. Political History of Chile. Excellent guide and extra person from bike co to ensure safety. Small Group of 8 and very nice people. Takes 3 hours. Stopping for ice cream was great. Would recommend this tour to others.
Isabela was a great guide! We had a great time riding around the center of Santiago and learning about Chilean history and politics. Would highly recommend this tour!
My tour guide Isabela did a great job guiding me through the city on the bike tour. She gave me so much information about Chilean History and politics at every stop.
Our guide Cici was very knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure the group stayed together and traveled the streets safely.
Great reminder of the political history and enlightening details! The only way to improve is add Poets to the curriculum ;-)
Very informative. Easy was to explore the city and get a little knowledge while at it!
This three hour adventure is very informative and enjoyable.Diego was a joy to listen to, and has a very impressive and passionate knowledge of Chilean history and the city of Santiago. He was able to convey a real sense of life in Chile today, and interesting context around recent history. The sites were very interesting and the tour was well planned and safe. Would highly recommend.
Isabella was our guide yesterday and showed us very nice parke and explained about the history and politics of Chile. We had awonderfull time! Highly recommend her and the tour. Michiel and Saskia
The half day bike tour with Andrean and “Flower” was excellent. These two were organized, intelligent and caring. Andrean was the leader of the bike pack. She set a great pace, and timed our stops perfectly where she educated us on Argentine history. Flower quickly repaired the few minor issues (seat height adjustments or loose chain) on some bikes and “Flower” was able to fix it quickly. Flower also blocked oncoming cars so all of us riders could cross intersections safely. I would highly recommend this tour.
Great experience. I would recommend for anyone visiting Santiago wanting an outdoor experience on a bike. Our guides were so wonderful !! Gracias Adrin & Flor
We really enjoyed the bike tour. The bikes were in great shape and it accommodated all sorts of ages and levels of fitness. Adrin did an awesome job as the lead. Stopping for included ice cream was a plus!
Had never done a bike tour in a city but it turned out to be a great way to see parts of the city and parks fast. Guide was good and informative. Riding was on quiet streets, bike lanes that were safe, and through parks. Enjoyed the experience
Great way to get introduced to the city! I felt very safe and looked after.
It bicycle ride was very nice and I found out a bit more about Chilean history and political situation. The tour guide Lissette was quite informative and actually lived through some of the events and showed us pictures. I hope that Chile continues to move forward and progress as a country. I heart Chile.
Isabella was a fantastic guide who led us on a wonderful cycle to the beautiful parks of Santiago all along sharing her passion for her city and the politics that has shaped her country over the last 50 years. Her insight was fabulous. Highly recommend to all.
One of the highlights of my trip to Santiago! Adrim was an amazing guide. It was very interesting to learn about the history of the country, the politics, she was very knowledgeable about questions asked. The parks were beautiful and I particularly liked the metaphor of one park, having so many different and diverse aspects to it, just like the country of Chile. Highly recommend!
Fun and easy bike ride with Sophia and a history lesson while exploring the different parks of Santiago, Chili.
Sophie was delightful with lots of personality and spunk but was definitely out of her element and lacked confidence to lead our group. Her boss was there to support but often interrupted and she became flustered and my heart just ached for her. Her boss was not supportive. Overall I was disappointed in the tour content. I loved the discussion about the 2019 protests as she remembers it, but the discussion about the 1973 coup d’état was poor. I think the tour has great possibilities… I just can’t give it more than 3* given the guide was not qualified. Sophie is a lovely woman and will be a great tour guide… her boss just ‘set her up’ but having her lead a tour before she was ready.
Had a great tour with Isabella! The group size was a bit large, however (about 10+ people), and sometimes we didn't make it across the road together if we were in a single file line, so if you are a nervous biker, maybe would ask for a smaller group size/private tour if possible. They provided a bottle of water at the beginning, and we did a stop at an ice cream shop. Definitely engage and ask a lot of follow up questions--as their knowledge extends beyond what is presented.
We loved this tour! The information on the history of the country was fascinating and the biking through the various parks was beautiful
The guides were helpful and knowledgeable. The bikes are ok and the helmets are quite old. All in all it was a fun afternoon and a great way to see Santiago.
Isabella did a great job of guiding us on a fun and interesting bike ride. Her English is great and she is very knowledgeable about the political and social history of Chile. A good tour thanks.
I highly recommend this tour; very insightful and a great way to learn more about Chiles recent political history and current situation. Isabela is a great tour guide and was able to answer all our questions
Our group did two tours - market in the morning and parks in the afternoon. All of the guides and staff were excellent! We felt safe wherever we rode. In particular, Adrin is very knowledgeable and entertaining!
A group of us all agree that we had a first rate time being guided by Rayen and Adrin on this tour. We learnt so much about Santiago and its history and enjoyed the ride too! Great value for money!
The tour was amazing. We had Isabella as our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and informative. We learnt a lot about the history of Chile and the lasting effects today. Highly recommend. Wish we’d done their other Markets tour that they offer too.
Isabella did an amazing job showing us the city of Santiago and providing us such a rich background of the culture and history there. My husband and I have always loved Chilean literature and history, and Isabella was the perfect tour guide to teach us about the city. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to take a step deeper into their Santiago experience - you won’t regret it!
