Juan Carlos did an excellent job of communicating making the pick up point easy to locate along with exactly when he would arrive. He provided interesting information on the area along the trip.
Driver was prompt and on time. He communicated with us promptly. The pickup area was very chaotic with a large bus blocking and making impossible for the vans to move forward. Our Driver was able to move around and load us up quickly and for on the road to our destination. He was friendly, helpful and very attentive. I would highly recommend him.
The drive to Santiago was smooth and easy going. We had a very comfortable ride and took less time than expected.

The transfer was really nice. The driver communicates very well. He stayed in touch from 24 hours before pickup to pickup. He provided local Santiago travel tips and was very informative about the area. The vehicle was large and comfortable and had room for our many suitcase.
At first, we were worried about connecting with our driver; however, communication with the driver relieved our concern about the meeting place and time. We had difficulty with Internet onboard our vessel, but it was resolved by the flexibility of the means of communication. Vehicle was clean and attractive. Driver was very entertaining during the ride and was also able to negotiate some traffic issues quickly; indeed, we completed the trip more quickly than expected. He was friendly as well as being skillful and professional. He also gave us suggestions about attractions at our destination. We would be happy to use him in the future. Finally, we should add that the cost of the transportation was more than reasonable.
I confirmed with the company and driver the pick up time at 10:00am as I had booked. He never showed up, I called and texted several times no answer. Then at 10:40 I used a different phone and the driver picked up he was still at least one hour away. We had to make other arrangements to go to Santiago. Terrible experience!!!! We have used Viator transport and tour through out the world never a problem. I requested a full refund waiting to go through.
We paid for a transfer from the cruse terminal at San Antonio to or hotel in Santiago, to be collected outside the Customs area at 10.00am, I received numerous emails from your representatives, while at sea ,with no coverage till we docked on the 20th, ,with 2 phone numbers,neither of which were answered , called by cruise terminal staff and Port Authority. We were waiting till 10.50am, but NO SHOW of the transfer, even the Port Authority tried to contact you but no results, the phone call was answered then immediately hung up. We pad in good faith $297.52 , we will be contacting paypal, and would like a full refund of this amount, We received a text from your driver Filipe Caceres (+56 9 5326 5437) from MTO to say he had arrived 11.10am after being held up at the airport for the previous transfer passenger, but by then we had got another transfer to the hotel. I would appreciate reply from you Kay Smith.
The prepaid driver didn't show at Port Antonio Chile leaving us in rain waiting 1 hour and a half Had multiple Port people and other tour guides look for our Driver Finally booked another expensive ride with Car driver who took us to Santiago Have contacted contact info number and e-mailed 3 times and finally for a refund to no avail Cost us $ 285 Canadian pre paid and $150 U.S. for our late ride to Santiago which served up plans for day Not pleased and expect restitution and apology
We had a great experience with the transfer. I only booked it 24 hours ahead of time, when I realized that it might be difficult to secure transportation on our own, at the port. Our driver Carlos, was really good. He sent me a message via whatsapp when he left the city, and again once he arrived at the port. He was very easy to find and we didn't have to wait at all.
Meeting was easy, communication was excellent. He texted that there was traffic due to an accident and would be a bit late, not a problem, we were delayed a bit getting off the ship. The ride was comfortable, and arrived at our hotel promptly.
I paid for a service and did not get to use it. I am going to request my money back. Probably won’t get it. I have always been satisfies with Viator but not this time.
We chose a private transfer from San Antonio port to Santiago because we had specific requirements. My wife his extremely allergic to fragrances and we requested a vehicle with no order. The vehicle that was provided was the exact opposite and since we didn’t have any options at that time we were forced to accept the ride. As a consequence my wife was sick for 2 days after the ride. The pickup and transport was okay but don’t expect this company to respect your special requests

The vehicle was almost 1 hour late. I emailed, texted and called the number of the company but there was no response. I did find the company representative at the pick up spot as it turned out they had to replace the vehicle. The replacement vehicle did not have air conditioning and was dirty inside. The driver was nice and did the best that he could.
The worst experience with a private car transfer we have ever had. The driver (Juan Carlos) was nearly an hour late picking us up at the port. He claimed he was 'Crazy Busy" that day! Then he tried to blame us because the reservation was incorrect, which it was NOT! We think he was plain crazy. The driver was dangerous---texting on two phones, answering phone calls, hands off the wheel, and studying his log book instead of watching the road. He was going at a very high rate of speed and tailgated some vehicles. We feel we are lucky to be alive. He earned one star because we weren't killed or maimed. Never again!
I received 3 messages from 3 different drivers telling me they would come to pick me up at 6:00 am, but I had only one booking to pick me up at 9:00 am. After communicating with their offices, one of them drove me to the terminal, but this one is the less experience driver who even didn't know the way to the terminal, and was not dressed properly. From the booking to the pick up, there were so many unbelieveable mistakes that I really can't trust Viator's management.

Easy to book one week in advance for our transit from our Oceania cruise ship at San Antonio port to Santiago. Continued to communicate upto 6:30pm the night prior to our 9am pick up. Woke up to a Trip Advisor message at 1am saying that we will get a refund due to cancelation of our pick up!! Totally left waiting with our luggage to find another way to get to our Santiago hotel. Worst ever treatment, said cancelation was due to no vehicles available so obviously no planning in this company. Stay well clear!
The experience was subpar at best. The van we were picked up in was in poor condition. We had several pieces of luggage which had to be lifted over the back seat because the back door was broken and wouldn’t open. The van was dirty, floor was ripped, van was littered with food/candy wrappings. The driver had to restart the van several times as it kept stalling in mid drive. The driver seemed in poor health…drove with an oxygen mask the whole way. All in all not a great experience for the price that was charged.

Pedro was a good driver. Fortunately, he found us looking for him as we had sent a photo of ourselves prior. A good idea any time a group of people - such as those disembarking a ship - are looking for their driver. I think Pedro had forgot the sign with our name in his car and it was parked a long walk away.
There were 2 drivers waiting for us which caused confusion. Good part was that they waited 6 hours for us to arrive.
Our ship arrived 5 hours late. When we finally got off driver was waiting. Good communication through the whole process. Arrive at our hotel in downtown Santiago with no problems. Van was clean and in good repair. A/C could have been colder but we had a nice trip.
Me only comment is that the sign held by the driver díd not have my name on it, nor the name of Viator, but only the name of the local agency, so I had a hard time to identify him.
Driver responded right away to my request sent the night before for confirmation of where to meet with driver's name; however, the only problem we had is that the driver did not have a piece of paper with my name on it as described in the message to me. I was able to find the driver by describing myself and then finding his son who was responding to my messages. Driver and assistant do not speak English very well so that was slightly difficult to communicate; however, once we found each other, we were quickly taken to the vehicle and bags loaded. Transport to Santiago Hotel was smooth without incident and driver was very nice. Service could be greatly improved if someone who speaks English fluently is involved and if a sign is made with customer's name as promised.
The boat was late in letting people off and driver waited for us. We were cocerned he did not get our late message because we did not have wifi until we docked.
Rodrigo was very friendly and helpful. He told us about his experiences with three major earthquakes and pointed out interesting sights along the way. Highly recommended.

Our transfer from the Port of San Antonio to Santiago was perfect. Our driver met us outside the port, loaded our luggage and took us directly to our Santiago hotel.
Excellent service and comfortable, safe drive from the cruise ship terminal in San Antonio to our hotel in Santiago. Plenty of room for our luggage. 4 of us shared this ride and saved tons of money over the cruise ship transfer being offered. 170.00 USD for each of us if we used the cruise ship option. 42.00 USD for each of us when we shared this ride.
We were delayed getting off the ship because of the baggage, the driver waited for us nearly 2 hours, we were grateful. Got us to the airport in good time, only downfall was that the car was in need of a valet inside, quite grubby. Other than that all was OK

Safe and comfortable journey from the Port of San Antonio to Santiago over a distance of over 100kms. Although driver had only limited English he used his phone app to communicate with us along the way, very considerate and helpful of him.
Good ride from end of cruise to city center of Santiago, Chile. No problems, driver met us on time a drove to city in 1 1/2 hours instead of 3 hours planned.

Our driver was waiting for us with an electronic sign even though we were 40 minutes early to arrive (we disembarked our cruise at 8:20 A.M. and our pickup time was not until 9:00 A.M.) He was friendly, even though he did not speak English. There was a short walk from the cruise terminal to the pickup point where we were picked up in a spacious van with plenty of room. This door to door service was about as easy and seamless as it could get. Finding transfer or transportation services that clearly went from San Antonio Port and Cruise Terminal to Santiago city center (not to the airport) seemed to be few and far between or confusing. We are happy to report that this was a reliable service and just what we needed.
I had booked through the Viator web site while on a cruise ship two days before the disembarkation in San Antonio, Chile, The process was straightforward and simple, next day received the e-mail from the fulfilling company with instructions - and that was it, no further action or hassling calls required. Driver met us by the entrance on time and we quickly were on our way to Santiago. Excellent and efficient job.
I confirmed the ride in advance, and were able to get off the ship in a timely fashion so we were waiting for the ride. We were in communication with the company/driver, but were not getting consistent information. Our ride was scheduled for an 8:30 am pickup, and we did not get into the car until after 9:30 am. Luckily we got to the airport and were the last ones to check into our flight. My suggestion is to allow more time than necessary to eliminate the stress of thinking you may miss your flight.
While the Santiago transfer was excellent - well priced and on time for the trip from the port San Antonio to Santiago ( a drive of one and half hours), the Buenos Aires transfer from the airport to the city never showed up. (even after 10 emails to confirm and reconfirm) We arrived in Buenos Aires after a 14 hour flight and NO ONE was there. The company gave no reason for being left high and dry at the airport at midnight. DO NOT USE VIATORS BUENOS AIRES. SANTIAGO WAS GREAT!!! I was not asked to evaluate the BA transfer so I am doing it here.
