Private Transfer From Santiago Hotel To Valparaiso Or Viña Del Mar Hotel Or Valparaiso Port

Unfortunately the pickup time booked with Viator was not honored by the driver... we were told we needed to leave at 8am from hotel, which got us to the Port far too early.

Drove from Santiago to Vina Del Mar. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean car and easy to communicate with.

Other than a little hiccup in trying to get the pickup time confirmed, everything went great! Booking this online was very easy and we were glad that payment could be charged as we discovered that credit cards aren’t readily accepted by taxis in Chile. Our driver was prompt and got us safely to our destination. While not a great conversationalist, we appreciated that he didn’t spend the entire 1.25 hour trip speaking in a foreign language to someone on the phone.

Our driver JCarlos was/is a capable driver, knowledgeable about the areas we were driving through. His car was in good mechanical condition and clean. We enjoyed the transfer service he provided.

It’s rare for me to be so enthusiastic about a “transfer,” but this was a great experience. Our driver JCarlos was in touch with the ship (and us) and learned that due to high tides the disembarkation of the prior cruise was taking longer than expected so the embarkation of our cruise was delayed by an hour. Consequently we adjusted the pickup time. He notified us that he was on his way to pick us up and was punctual. We had a fun time conversing via a translator app about his travels (and ours) as well as life in Chile so the time passed quickly. Very nice car, perfect temperature (he asked to confirm) and he played great music at a volume low enough to converse. Couldn’t ask for more. The price was very reasonable given the distance. Highly recommended.

Raul and the company in general communicated very well. And in English which was helpful to us. Raul was courteous and polite as well as knowledgeable about the journey we took. I appreciated his services knowing we were in a foreign country and had a timeline to get to our destination.

Our driver, Jcarlos, was running a few minutes late but messaged us to let us know. Car was a nice, clean SUV. The drive through to Valparaiso was such a laugh-our driver played Tom Jones, Status Quo, Boney M, etc music so we all had a great singalong which made the journey go much quicker!! No hesitation in recommending.

After confirming the reservation, the driver did not show up.or answer the phone. It took the hotel manager and myself 10 phone calls to finally reach the service. The driver came 45 minutes late and the van had to pull over because of overheating, which caused further delays. I will never use Viator again and being a travel agent, I will pass this on to my colleagues. Very very bad experience

MTO Tour Chile cancelled our reservations without notice only minutes before they were to pick us at our hotel in Santiago and take us to the cruise port in Valparaiso (San Antonio). There was no explanation until we contacted them and this was their response via WhatsAp -“Unfortunately due to internal problems on reservations we have to sent for cancel your service. Due to high demand of the day there is no alternative options to offer.” We had to scramble to get another ride in order to make our cruise departure. Terrible communication and experience. Do not book with them or at least have a backup plan.

Driver was very polite and efficient. He showed up a few minutes early got us there right on time. He didn't speak any English but that was not a problem for us.

Our driver, Aldo, was wonderful! On time, very helpful, excellent English. We had 5 couples and Aldo had a spacious van for us and our luggage! He narrated our trip to Valparaiso and gave us a bonus mini-tour of Valpo when we realize our ship was delayed for embarking. Also, The company MTO Tour Chile was great from start to finish, answering questions via WhatsApp, and confirming our transfer. I recommend the transfer service.

Morning of transfer driver contacted us before scheduled pickup. Arrived on time. Vehicle was clean and comfortable. Driver was very personable. We would use this service again.

Smooth ride to the cruise port. Felipe notified us on arrival and sent a picture of the van n front of the hotel. Easy to identify. Could not have been a better trip.

Excellent service. Arrive on time, friendly and professional. Ricardo was a safe and attentive driver. Took up right to the door of our airbnb. We plan to book the return trip, too.

Driver never showed. After repeated attempts to communicate with company, only received a response an hour after waiting when threatened to cancel the credit charge. And they still didn’t show. At least we received a message later saying they authorized the refund.

Do not USE! We were confirmed for transportation from our hotel in Santiago to Valparaiso. They never showed up, did not answer our calls or text. You deserve to be shut down due to your horrible business practices! Your work ethic is horrible.

Pedro was waiting for us at the arrivals area (such a relief as I was worried how I was going to find our driver). He helped with our luggage and was very friendly. Language barrier was a bit of an issue (his English wasn’t good and my Spanish is basic) but we made it work! Safe driver and AC in the car too!

Ricardo is an EXCELLENT driver and very service oriented. My husband and I had a very nice ride from Santiago to Vina del Mar with Ricardo. We we very happy with our experience and highly recommend Viator and Ricardo if one is looking for prompt, reliable, friendly, helpful and service oriented transportation in and around Santiago.

Excellent transfer experience! The driver was friendly and told us about the regions we were passing through, and he came a bit early. No problems. We would do this again in a minute. One thing I wouod recommend is to have the GOOGLE TRANSLATE APP on your phone. That way, you and your driver can communicate easily from your own language to Spanish (or whatever language your driver has). Another app to have is the WHATSAPP so you can also easily communicate by text or by phone.

Very good tour with driver jimmy and guide Valentina. I felt an obligation in the Mood to take us to a Peruvian restaurant For me it was a tourist trap as I did not have the opportunity to see other options.
