We had a great day out with Felipe and Gerald touring the Maipo Valley, tasting wines at Santa Rita, doing the exclusive Concha y Toro Don Melchor experience which was "first class" - nite must book early as this is extremely limited each day and Uranga (a very small winery) which was the perfect finish to the day and very nice wine. They are very knowledgeable, fluent in English, and too good care of us. Recommended.

We had a great day out with Felipe and Gerald touring the Maipo Valley, tasting wines at Santa Rita, Concha y Toro and Uranga (a very small winery). They are very knowledgeable, fluentt in English, and too good care of us. Recommended.
My husband and I recently went on a wine tour of Maipo Valley with the guides Felipe and Gerald and we had a fantastic time! Our guides were very professional, knowledgeable and informative. They knew all about Chile and all about the wines and wine regions. Our ride was comfortable and the 3 wineries we went to plus lunch were great. Highly, highly recommend this company if you are looking for a tour of the Maipo Valley wine region!
Felipe and Gerald combined to give my wife and I a unique, enjoyable experience. Leaving our cruise ship in San Antonio, we had stops in San Antonio, Casablanca and Maipo. Each was a unique and memorable experience. Our favorite was Hacienda San Juan!
This was an absolute highlight for my partner and me in Chile! Visiting each winery was amazing, they are all so unique and special and each vineyard had it's own incredible wines to showcase. All of the guides at each winery were so knowledgable, friendly and had so much passion for wine and the wine-making process. We learned a lot; I won't spoil the excitement and surprise of visiting each vineyard with too much detail, but you're in for a real treat. Once in a lifetime kind of experience. Our guide who picked us up and took us to each winery, Caroline, was a true gem. Meeting her was a separate and equally wonderful highlight of the trip. Carolina has a vast wealth of knowledge about wine and made our time in Chile so fun and interesting. We kept in touch with Carolina for the rest of our trip, she gave us amazing tips and recommendations of places to visit in Chile and more ways we could try wine and learn more, it was such a joy to meet her. We couldn't be more grateful!
We had a wonderful day with Felipe and Gerald. They were incredibly knowledgeable about Chilean culture, food, and wine. They had great communication leading up to the day trip. On the day of the winery tour, they met us at our hotel in a nice, clean, airconditioned car, equipped with water and snacks. They guided us through 3 of the best wineries in Maipo Valley. At the end of the day Felipe surprised us with a delicious authentic Chilean empanada experience. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time touring these amazing wineries and learning about their history, wine making traditions and of course sampling delicious wines! Highly recommend!
Superb. Would def use them again. 3 days private tour before they dropped us off at our cruise ship. Felipe and Gerald hosted us. They are superb. Fully fluent English. I wanted small wineries with midday lunch stops at bigger wineries with a restaurant. Juan at Maipo Valley worked with me on several iterations of our schedule. Excellent choice of wineries. Felipe served as our driver. Excellent and conservative driver. Unlike a previous wine tour I was on where the driver tasted wine with us!!!! Felipe completely abstained. We appreciated it. Gerald has worked in the wine world internationally for quite a few years. He knows his stuff-from how grapes are grown and made into wine to food pairings. Both guys were a delight to spend time with. This outfit carries my highest recommendation
Great things about this tour: our guide and driver, the tour itinerary, and the lunch. Gerard our guide has wine qualifications and gave great insights into the wines of the area. Our driver Felipe added other cultural info as we travelled. Both really easy to chat with. We visited three historic wineries and had tours and tastings. We also visited a very good cultural museum at one winery, excellent if you're interested in Sth American indigenous history and culture. Lunch at winery number two was a treat, a lovely setting and our waiter Luis was lots of fun and good at service. We highly recommend this tour if you want to get an insight into Maipo Valley and more.
We enjoyed an excellent day out exploring some of the best estates of the Maipo Valley with our professional and experienced guide. We were picked up by Carolina at our hotel and quickly off to our first visit. The vehicle was comfortable and cooled for a summer day out. The logistics were perfect and everything was curated for a top rate experience. Carolina knowledgeably provided history, context, and key information ahead of every stop. She also set us up with a perfect lunch table overlooking a beautiful garden. I was able to fully relax and just enjoy the day since we were in good hands with our guide. I'd highly recommend working with Carolina and this tour.
Excellent guide and driver, great knowledge of the wine and region but also you get a great history lesson of Chile at the same time. The 3 wineries they take you to and excellent and our guide Cristian knew the staff personally. Lunch at the Santa Rita property was also excellent. Driving from Felipe was safe and good, only thing is the car is not luxury for the price you pay for a private trip. Other wine tours I’ve had would have a more luxury transportation. But overall an outstanding day out.
The driver and the wine expert that took us around were very knowledgable and professional. They chose 3 amazing wineries and a delicious lunch experience for us. We really got a sense of the area, the history, the winemaking, the food and the beautiful vineyards.
Extraordinary perfect day! Our guide Christian was amazing. He was so very knowledgeable about wines, the wineries and the area. He is a trained sommelier and it was clear that everyone at the wineries knows him - he made the day very special. The lunch at Dona Paola was very good. Everything is included.
Christian was a great guide providing so much history. Felipe was a great driver for a long day. These guys were so friendly and informative. Learned a lot about different chilean wine styles. Had the opportunity for tastings.
Amazing tour and highly recommend! Felipe was great. We even forgot some of our wine in the car and he delivered it the next day back to us.
Tour guide Christian is so knowledgeable about wine and history. We have learned a lot from him. On top of that his English is so good. The three chosen wineries are iconic wineries in the region and have rich history. Thank you Christian.
Our day with Felipe and Christian was very good. Felipe was an excellent driver. Punctual and accommodating. Christian added value to the experience with his knowledge and picked an excellent wine at Santa Rita for our lunch and provided extra information during the museum tour. We had the local Choclo beef stew which was excellent. Our only criticism of the day is that at Unduragga and Concho y Toro, your tour is not private and both those wineries let too many people on the tour (16-20) making it hard to hear the guide at times. Had those groups been in the 6-8 range it would have been much better. The properties were beautiful and being there at harvest time allowed us to taste many different varietiels of grapes. The convenience of the guide to provide information while we waited for the tour to start was helpful.
I didn't have a lot of time in Chile to visit wineries and so when I saw the opportunities that Maipo Valley Wine Tours provided, I was very interested. I booked the Top 3 Wineries full-day tour and I was not disappointed. Felipe picked me up at my hotel in Santiago right on time and was my driver for the entire day. His colleague, Christian, joined as my personal guide at the conclusion of the first winery tour at Undurraga. From there we traveled to Santa Rita winery where I was able to enjoy a delicious meal at Doña Paula restaurant. The restaurant was closed for two large groups, but Felipe was able to work his connections and get me a table. It was fantastic! From there we went to Concha y Toro where I was delighted by another tour and wine tasting. The best part of all was the friendly and gracious hospitality of Felipe and Christian who, I felt, were like long lost friends. I would highly recommend Maipo Valley Wine Tours to anyone... it's organized, friendly, punctual, and well-connected with all the wineries you'd like to visit.
We were picked up right on time by Carolina. She was our personal guide / driver for the day. Carolina probably knows more about wine than anyone in Chile from her past work with Chilean wine companies and a world wide ambassador.. All three wineries were massive, with lots of vines, lawns, trees etc. There are allot of weddings at these wineries and it's clear to see why, so beautiful. I proposed to my gf at Santa Rita Winery! Carolina kept us on schedule, answered all of our questions, took pictures of us after we got engaged, and shared in our special moment.. We had lunch at Santa Rita, and did not do a wine tasting our tour of the winery, but did have tours and tastings at the other two. Communication with Maipo Vally Wine tours as spot on. This company has to be at the top of the list for tour operators for this area.. You will be very happy this tour. We did 2 different tours with them on our trip, and they were both unbelievable!! Book it!
Fantastic day. Great wine. Beautiful scenery. Great food. Knowledgeable guides. Not sure how it could have been better. Thank you.
Well organized. Cristian is a great guide. Very knowledgeable and engaging on all topics. We learned a great deal. The tour is nicely arranged balancing touring if wineyards, tasting, and a delicious lunch. The schedule doesn't feel rushed with time at each stop to take in the atmosphere. We will be back.
What an absolutely amazing day! Our guide Fillipe was fantastic! Everything from beginning to end far exceeded our expectations. The 3 wineries were fantastic as well.
We were heading to San Antonio from Santiago for a cruise. Maipo hit the spot as they took us to several wineries, some snacks, lunch and dropped us off at our hotel in San Antonio. All the wineries we visited were great and varied (one more established, one more using old methods, one doing interesting blends, etc.). Driver was friendly and professional. Guide knew all about chilean wines and provided info on history as well. I'd highly recommend them. They were most accommodating with our ridiculous amount of luggage too. Which we added to with wine.
Felipe was our guide and he was fantastic. He picked us up promptly at our hotel and was extremely friendly and informative on all matters. We visited the 3 most famous wineries in the Maipo Valley and enjoyed an amazing gourmet lunch at Dona Paula Restaurante. Every aspect of our tour was perfect! Thanks to Felipe and Maipo Valley Wine Tours!
We love the visit, wine tasting and family stories. Beautiful place, looks like a movie scene. Delicious wines.
The driver and the guide complement each other perfectly. Both are wine connoisseurs and sommeliers With good knowledge. First a breakfast with a local artist, very friendly, very personal! Then we go to various wineries, from medium to very small. Always perfect explanations of the special type of wines. Lunch at the Santa Ema Winery: great wines, excellent food. All in all, the day more than met our expectations 👍
Gerald (guide and sommelier) and Felipe (driver and experienced) some cracks A very highly recommended walk. Knowledge, at least, with wine focusing interesting talks
We went in August 2024 to Santiago, Chile, with my partner, we wanted to make the best wineries in a short time, we chose this tour for its good reputation, it was really an amazing experience. I have nothing but words of thanks. Top-rated, without a doubt!
Amazing!! We went to meet the Viña Concha y Toro with them and the experience was spectacular. Felipe, the guide, came to find us and along the way told us many interesting things about the country and its wine. Then, already in the Vineyard, he took care of everything, even the photos, and always with the best of dispositions. The conversation was very good, we will definitely repeat the experience. Thanks for all Felipe!!
Really are wonderful the tours they organize, they take care of every detail in the visits and experience during the tour, Felipe Silva is a wonderful person, very professional and knowledgeable of their services, we spend incredible moments with the group of friends!! Super recommended for family and corporate plans
We did the day tour to Maipo Island vineyard. I went to my lady Paola and my in-laws. I really like the world of wine, and despite having visited vineyards on vacation in other countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, Italy, Spain and the United States), we had never visited Chilean vineyards. Taking advantage of a visit from my in-laws schedule the tour to vineyards of Maipo Island with Felipe and Cristian, and the experience completely exceeded expectations: 1. Ease and good communication to make the reservation 2. Compliance with scheduled pick-up time, and good standard of vehicle used 3. Exceptional guide, very knowledgeable about the world of wine, local culture and great facility to connect with people (we were the only Chileans, and my in-laws needed communication in Spanish). Cristian made us feel very comfortable and like great friends. 4. Places with local and authentic flavor: we have breakfast with a local family. Lunch also in a local house. Nice Mood, great hospitality, simplicity and generosity. Felipe, Enterprise Manager, joined us at breakfast with the same kindness and empathy as Cristian. 5. Small and medium sized vineyards (Demartino, Santa Ema and Undurraga), with a Family Mood and positive surprises of wines with great attributes and good price-quality ratio. 6. In Mendoza we had visited a scent exit, and the one with one of the vineyards (I think Santa Ema) was a pleasant surprise. 7. The links that were generated in the group allowed a pleasant chat on the terrace of the Undurraga vineyard. Other activities may incorporate additional material elements, but I think the warmth of the people who accompanied us, mark the high point of a memorable day.
Excellent wine tour, and a congratulations to our guide Felipe who solved all our doubts and suggestions with quality and first class treatment, I would definitely hire them again.
