Our tour guide and driver were great. The first winery we visited--Perez Cruz- was also great. We had lunch at Santa Rita which was great. Unfortunately, the wine tour and tasting was just not that good. They evidently can offer a premium tour, but would not allow our guide to make change. Not a lot of flexibility. Would recommend our guide and Perez Cruz but I would press for a premium tour at Santa Rita or ask for another location. Our guide, Evelyn was great and very knowledgeable. She said she had asked for more flexibility from the winer.

Itinerary
A totally unique wine bicycle private tour very close to Santiago de Chile. Three hours by bike through the town and vineyards of Isla de Maipo at the heart of Maipo Valley, plus a traditional cuisine lunch and a wine tasting. Time goes by pretty fast while pedaling through beautiful tree-lined walks, contemplating the Maipo river or passing through the vineyards of its well-known wineries: de Martino, Santa Ema, Terramater... We will stop from time to time to visit the wine shops and tell you the history of the Maipo Valley and Chilean vitiviniculture. It is a simple bicycle route, where there is hardly any slope so you can fully enjoy the ride without having to have an extraordinary physical condition. It is designed so that anyone who does not have a special limitation can have fun and spend a pleasant day around wine and nature. In addition, you will enjoy the traditional cuisine of the area in a beautiful production villa next to the Maipo River, with pond, pool, avocado forest, gardens ... Under a large vine with good weather or by the fireplace in winter. As a final touch a tour and a premium wine tasting! You will learn about the wine production process and winemaking in one of the renowned vineyards of Maipo Valley, Undurraga winery, where you will also participate in a guided tasting of three premium wines.
After visiting isla de Maipo down town, we will pedal to the De Martino winery and visit its beautiful vineyard, Santa Ines. There, the guide will talk about its different types of vines and the ways in which they are grown and harvested. We will also visit De Martino wine shop
On our way pedalling through the town and vineyards of Isla de Maipo, we will stop in Santa Ema wine shop. We will have the opportunity to challenge ourselves tasting different aromas in the sensory room at the wine shop.

It was very authentic and exciting. Well chosen places. I especially liked the picnic by the eucalyptus tree. Great lunch. Highly recommended.
This was an incredibly unique and heartwarming experience. Felipe, our driver, and Gerald, our guide, began their incredible service even before the day of our tour with impeccable communication skills. Day of, they were early to pick us up and we could immediately tell they were warm souls. We picked up our bikes, which were excellent quality, and began our journey. The day consisted of such amazing wines, warm people, and perfectly curated experiences for us. It really felt super personalized and catered to my husband and myself. I speak better French than Spanish and found that the baker of our breakfast bread ant Connie’s place and Felipe both spoke French as well! This was such an incredible experience and I think one of the top 5 tours my husband and I have ever taken in our lives. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in wines (with some good exercise!). Gerald is also a sommelier and so educated about wines, which was greatly appreciated. Well worth the price.
We had an excellent day with our driver Felipe and guide Gerald. Picked us up promptly at hotel in the am. Picked up bikes and gear and headed to first stop of Breakfast at a local artist and bakers home. This was a delightful breakfast with orange wine and a chance to dine with residents of maipo valley. The artist shared her works with us and the baker his bread making process. Wonderful, beautiful people. We then headed to de martino winery and biked through the vineyard stopping to share a bottle of wine with snacks in the vineyard. Next we headed to lunch at another local residence. A lovely spot but would recommend lighter food for the experience. We then biked to Santa Ema for wine tour and tasting of four wines. The itinerary was slightly different than in the description as we did not visit one of the wineries mentioned or receive a wine gift but overall the people and experience was very good. Accommodating if you want to bike the entire time or ride along with the driver.
I recommend this 100% if you like to sample local wines, especially from small batch of vineyards, and work in a day of moderate exercise. The food and stops were very authentic. The whole day had a very personal touch. I also learned a lot.
It was a great visit to three very good wineries. The wineries were generous with the wine portions for the tasting. The guide, Christian, had a very good knowledge of wine and was a great complement to the tour at each winery. This is a very exclusive tour, and lunch at the wineries was my best meal in Chile.
This day was one for the books! Our guide, Christian, could not have been warmer or more informative. We loved it and would highly recommend!
This tour was the highlight of our stay in Chili. Our tour guide, Chris, could not have been nicer or more engaged. We took a bus to pick up the bikes, then rode to a lovely spot for home-cooked breakfast in the garden of a local artist. We then rode to a vineyard, rode around the vineyard, enjoyed some wine with Chris, and rode to a local home for lunch. The lunch spot was quaint and cozy; gorgeous gardens and wildlife (peacocks, chickens, dogs). Both meals felt like we were sharing food and company with old friends. We then took a bus to a small, family run vineyard for a private tour and wine tasting. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone who loves moving their bodies, getting fresh air, eating locally sourced meals, and conversing with people passionate about their lives and livelihoods.
We did an all-day bike tour of Isla de Maipo with Christian, and had a great day biking through towns and the countryside, through vineyards, visiting local artists, stopping for lunch, and culiminating with a wine tour at the impressive Santa Ema winery. Definitely recommend Felipe's tours for a genuine local experience!
Amazing! Authentic Chilean experience. Our tour guide Christian was OUTSTANDING. Delicious wines and great conversation
We had such a wonderful day in the Maipo Valley! Felipe was so attentive and helpful with everything - picking us up and dropping us off, fitting our bikes and helmets, retrieving my glasses after I forgot them in the bike vest, and helping me with my bike gears! Christian is a total gem - super knowledgeable about wine and the vineyards, very insightful about current trends for citizens in Chile, very open about his background growing up in Chile, very patient in explaining the local atmosphere and culture, and very concerned about us having a great experience that day. My boys are teenagers, and he related to them so well. Seeing the countryside outside of Santiago was such a lovely experience! We biked through vineyards, saw the breathtaking landscapes, visited a local artist and a local bakery, had a walking tour of the Undurraga vineyard and wine productions facilities, and ate a delicious lunch in a local home. I really cannot say enough great things about our day with Felipe and Christian. Thank you both for showing to us and explaining to us so much about the Maipo Valley and Chile. We will cherish the memories for years to come!
My husband, Randall, wrote a brief review shortly after our tour on March 6, but I wanted to add some details since it was such an outstanding experience. Both Felipe and Christian were fabulous guides and I feel like we learned a lot from them about Chile, wine, life and everything. The cycling was fun and the vineyards pretty but the guides were what made it such a great experience. We also really enjoyed having breakfast with Constanza and learning about and seeing her art. Her cats were fun too! Our tour at Undurraga winery was enhanced by Christian’s knowledge of the property and the wine. It was also great that we were not part of a large tour group - it was just us and the guides. It was an incredible tour - very personal - and definitely the highlight of our time in Santiago.
After a short ride we started the day with breakfast at the home of a local artist! A long fun day in the countryside!
We had a great time! Biking was comfortable, fairly flat. Breakfast at Connie’s was delicious- she was delightful. the wineries were amazing. We really enjoyed lunch in a beautiful setting. Our tour guide Christen and our driver Diego were awesome! I would take this tour again! Thank you Felipe for arranging such a memorable tour for us❤️
Felipe is a national treasure. He showed up on time, was patient, rolled with every curveball we threw (and there were several), and generally had and created a great time. An especial thanks for also introducing us to the terremoto and to Constanza for her beautiful breakfast and home!
We had an amazing day riding bikes through the vineyards of Isla Maipo and visiting the Undarraga Vineyard. Our guide, Christian, was incredible and spent all day chatting with us about wine, culture, and Chile. It was an incredible tour and one of the highlights of our trip. I would 100% recommend!
Great ride down to isla de Maipo with Carolina. We met Felipe and Christian who set us up with bikes and we cycled to an artist’s house where we had a great breakfast. After touring her studio area and house we biked 4 miles to a winery where we rode around the fields and then had a break for some wine. Felipe explained the wine growing process as we sipped on a wonderful carmenere. After the break we rode back to Felipe’s where we said goodbye and then rode with Carolina to a beautiful place where we had an outstanding lunch in a casita overlooking a garden with peacocks. After the late lunch we rode back to Santiago.with a stop at a winery on the way where we took a tour and did a tasting. The cycling wasn’t long, we did just over 8 miles. We chose a shorter route, but longer rides are available.
A wonderful time seeing some authentic culture, from artist in the morning, to pleasant easy bike ride ( although we put our guide to the test, since we are bicyclists) to a tour of the raw wine vineyard , then on to lunch at a local house and finally a tour of a winery where we bought a case of wine for our ski week.
We were picked up by Filipe at 0830 then headed to the Maipo Valley. Along the way, we picked up our bike gude, Christian, who made the day so much more enjoyable. His previous experience in the wine industry, along with his entire life story, made for great conversations while we cycled. The terrain is pretty flat, making it a very doable experience for people who make doubt their conditioning. The vistas, along with the working vineyards we cycled through were absolutely stunning! Food was readily available and served in really fun and attractive places (including a surprise or two) A day of exercise, great views, and wine?? Abolsutely!
We did this tour and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. Our guide, Felipe, was an exceptional guide, and felt more like a friend showing us his beautiful country. The day starts riding a bike to a local artist's house for breakfast (with fruits and vegetables from her own garden), and then biking to vineyard to vineyard. We really enjoyed our day, and Felipe went out of his way for my dad who wanted to return to a winery to buy a bottle. I would definitely recommend doing this tour.
Excellent all day biking and wine tasting tour with our guide Christian. We were fed breakfast and lunch, and multiple bottles of wine at different wineries.
If you want to have a bit of exercise, enjoy the countryside and local life, this is the trip for you. We were picked up in town by Cristian and our lady driver, whose name unfortunately I don’t remember. She was an excellent driver and Cristian has the best command of English we have had of any guide ever, anywhere. We picked up our bikes from Felipe the operator’s home then cycled to a local home for breakfast (which had not been advertised in the deal, although “snacks” were which we didn’t get). We sat outside in a delightful fruit tree-filled garden, complete with wandering poultry and a couple of pet dogs, and had an excellent home made and delicious breakfast. We then cycled through to a vineyard, but instead of going into the winery for a formal tasting as we had expected we instead sat in the vineyard itself with a bottle of the vineyard’s wine. As we’d stopped at a local fruit stall enroute we had fruit to eat as well. It was great, just chatting and relaxing. Cristian is also a wine expert so can tell you all you want to know about wine and grapes, but we were happy learning more about Chilean life from Cristian. Afterwards we cycled and then walked through a beautiful old heritage listed town, enjoying seeing locals go about their day. Not a tacky tourist shop in sight! We followed up with a most delicious 3 course lunch at the same home we’d had breakfast at, starting with Pisco Sours and enjoying homemade peach juice as well as wine with our meal. The slow cooked meat was AMAZING. We really enjoyed the relaxed pace and learning of how everyday Chileans feel about things. We then were driven (Cristian deciding it was too hot) to a small winery run by a young man whose parents and grandparents had occupied the same land. We were exceptionally lucky because he had some winemaker friends there too, and we were treated to each of them telling us about the wines they were developing. After tastings, we were then invited to sit with them under a shady tree and enjoy some more wine. This was a fabulous day where we felt like we were simply enjoying a day out with friends, it has been a highlight of our travels. I might just add, as a possible negative, it’s not a cheap trip, but we have found all our tours in Santiago to be expensive, especially when you compare to what you can buy locally in shops and restaurants. BUT - at least in this case Felipe has set up his trips so that the money is spread to small local enterprises, which is good.
This was an unbelievably good trip! Our tour guide Felipe really went above and beyond - he made us feel completely welcome in his community. The wineries we visited were beautiful, the bike ride tour was charming, but we met incredibly gracious and kind people who made us feel quite at home.
I’m not usually a tour type of person but this full day bike tour was perfect. What a way to make one’s way around the lovely Maipo Valley. Given the personalised food and wine experiences, my husband and I also thought that the all-inclusive pricing was exceptional value. Felipe our guide was the best, too.
What a day! We spent Christmas eve with Felipe on this biking wine tour. It was such fun! We rode to a local artist's home for breakfast then to several wineries. Lunch was served at a bed and breakfast type place and we were presented with several courses of authentic Chilean food. Pisco sours, wine and dessert were also served and very tasty! then we went to a final winery and ended up purchasing many bottles of their delicious wines. Great times! I would highly recommend taking this tour.
Felipe was an excellent guide. His driver and he picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the Maipo wine country. He took us do an old world winery Las Hedas and we were met with a welcome from the owner and tasting tour of their wine. It was such an incredible place. We had a lovely breakfast and traditional lunch by locals and a wine tour of the modern wine making at a larger wine maker. Enjoyed the leisurely bike ride and highly recommend this tour!
I found it very expensive for what you offered! I was expecting a visit by the wineries but we only entered them and took a wine bought by the person who accompanied us. The bike ride is through the streets in a simple neighborhood of Santiago, we expected to walk through among the wineries. Breakfast and lunch are served by locals inside their homes. It was disappointing and I felt misled by the advertising and the reviews! I leave here my sincere report and do not recommend the tour for the requested price.
Great Experience!! We were four friends in Rio de Janeiro, we took a bicycle tour through the villages of Valle del Maipo: St. Ema, Tarapaca, de Martino… Excellent wines and beautiful landscape. And the best brand new electric bikes! Thank you very much to Christian for such special attention!
All excellent! Felipe is very friendly and knows a lot, which makes this experience something I would repeat again.
It was a wonderful experience and highly recommended! Felipe picked us up 8:30 on time at the hotel and we headed to Valle del Maipo. We met our guide Christian who would accompany us for the rest of the day, picked up the bikes and started our journey. First destination a delicious local breakfast, we continued the tour of the Valley until we reached a vineyard where in the shade of a tree we could uncork a bottle of wine, learn and talk about numerous topics of interest. Christian also found us an excellent guide very attentive and pleasant and with whom we could have a very friendly bond. We follow the journey, we appreciate the beautiful scenery, you can go at your own pace. We had lunch at a local restaurant and headed to visit a winery where we learned a lot in addition to tasting some wines. Back at the hotel Felipe was very friendly and did us a great favor. We are very grateful for the experience!!! And we highly recommend it. We would definitely do other activities with them again!
