Itinerary
We will make our first stop at Rio Tinto Supermercado del Vino in the heart of the Casablanca valley, all the vineyards in one place, to have breakfast (not included in the value) and occupy bathrooms.
We will visit this beautiful city, captivate yourself with the crazy architecture of the World Heritage City, we will walk through its narrow streets, endless stairs, historic elevators, its multiple viewpoints, murals and colorful houses on Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepcion.
La Sebastiana is one of three houses—along with La Chascona in Santiago and Casa de Isla Negra—that were owned by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Located in Valparaíso, on Cerro Bellavista, it stands out for the beauty of its construction and its magnificent view of the port bay. Like the other two, it is converted into a museum administered by the Neruda Foundation, we will make a panoramic visit.
The Alegre and Concepción hills are located in the city of Valparaíso, in the V Region. Delimited from each other by Urriola street, they historically make up a unitary sector, urbanized and built largely by English and German immigrants, from the first half of the 19th century, in an organized and planned way, we will walk through its picturesque streets for about 1 hour .

Plaza Sotomayor is a square located in the Chilean city of Valparaíso. Considered the largest civic center in the city, as well as the main axis of the Barrio Puerto, important buildings are located there, such as the Monument to the Heroes of Iquique, where the remains of Arturo Prat lie, and the Chilean Navy Building, corresponding to the old Intendancy.1 Currently it is also constituted as an important archaeological center, since in its subsoil are located the remains of the first public dock of the port built with the remains of the Esmeralda frigate captured by Thomas Cochrane from the Spanish navy.
The history of Viña del Mar begins with the arrival of the conquistadors and the division of the Peuco Valley into two large haciendas: the "Seven Sisters", named after the seven hills that are located between Cerro Castillo and Cerro Barón, and "La Viña del Mar", named after the vineyards planted on the land now occupied by the Palacio Rioja. Around 1870, the sole heiress of the lands that gave rise to Viña del Mar was Doña Mercedes Álvarez, married to José Francisco Vergara, an engineer who had come to the region to work on the railway works. It was he who drew up a project, approved on December 29, 1874, through which the city of Viña del Mar was officially founded, and five years later, the Illustrious Municipality.
From the north, and after Cochoa, Reñaca beach is the second coastal area of the city of Viña del Mar. Subdivided into sectors, from 1st to 5th, this series of beach resorts is one of the busiest during the summer. Each sector has an attractive gastronomic, sports and service offer, which makes each one of them the ideal place to enjoy the long summer days and, also, for walks during the rest of the year.

Awesome experience highly recommended value for money our guide Valentina is friendly and approachable thanks 🇨🇱🇸🇬
Thank you very much to Paulina for this great city tour. It was perfect 🤩
We had an amazing visit to Valparaiso, in and down colourful streets and Paulo was very helpful and took us to a couple of additional sites. We did have to change buses part way though - which turned out to be good as the replacement had air conditioning
This tour was fabulous in every way! Leaving Santiago we passed through vineyards with one stop and it was good to see how fertile the land is. Paulo, our guide was so knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about all aspects of Chile on the way. On reaching Valparaiso, it was amazing to see so many homes stacked on the hillside and after taking the funicular, we had a fabulous walking tour with Paulo. There was so much art to see on almost every surface and so many artisans were at work. In addition, there were great views of the port and along the coast to Vina del Mar. After driving through Vina del Mar and reaching the very long and golden beaches of Renaca, we had a fantastic seafood lunch at a restaurant recommended by Paulo. We went home tired but very happy after a great day out, thanks to Paulo and our driver, Marcello. Highly recommended! 😊
I took a tour to Valparaíso, and the guide seemed inexperienced. The entire experience felt very serious and lacked engagement. The walking tour, which I was looking forward to the most, lasted only 20 minutes, which was quite disappointing. If you have the option to choose another agency with more experience, I would recommend doing so. In my case, the guide did not seem knowledgeable, appeared nervous, and struggled with communication.
Tour guide Maria Jose was fab! She was able to move seamlessly between Spanish, English and a sprinkle of Portuguese to keep all 15 guests interested and occupied during the trip. It’s a long day. Our pick up was at 6:20 and we didn’t get breakfast until about 9 so bring a snack. The walking tour around Valparaiso was the highlight. So much to see and do. Lunch was at 1pm which was very welcome as we were all very hungry by then! Overall a great day. Thank you.
This tour is an excellent way to explore Valparaiso area, especially since the main attractions are far from one another and the hills would force to extend the time to dedicate, if moving on foot. The guide was perfect, she told us stories about the city, from historical events to fun facts during the van trip as well as during the walking tour. She managed to kept us interested switching between three languages! The timeline was clear and reasonable. Personally, I would have chosen a less touristic place as a stop among the vineyards and I would have had more time to wander through Valparaiso streets. In conclusion I would recommend this tour to whoever wants to have a glimpse of the area but doesn’t have so much time in their travel schedule to stay one night.
Overall a very enjoyable excursion. The walking tour of Valparaiso was very interesting. Our guide. Rocio, was very engaging and informative.
It was a very nice day, the guide Sergio was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were very punctual with time pick-up and very responsive.
We booked our day trip with allegrit for72 euros each. After 2 hours we are still picking up travellers at various locations along the coastline. I guess it will be the same on the return trip. I would say this will not be too far short of half the trip spent on the bus. I hope monserat will be worth it when we get there eventually. Time spent on bus is ridiclous on a day trip which isnt that far from our set off point
Pick up was supposed to be at 6 am and it ended up being at 10 am. No response from the company’s contact. If you have the option to book from somewhere else do so because you may end up not going like I did. TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!
We went with Felipe and the driver Víctor. It was a wonderful day trip, english and Spanish, tour interesting and funny in Santiago, Viña del Mar and Playa Regnata, where we stop for Lunch and a walk along the beach
Wow! What a full day! We only had one day in Santiago and this was a great way to spend it! We got to see a lot of everything for a really great price. The guide was well organized and experienced and we learned a lot. The day is filled with jumping off and on the bus at a lot of different sites. The only thing is if you're looking for wine tasting this isn't it, but it's not advertised to be, so it was fine for us. They do do a stop at Casa blanca and you get a tiny taste of 3 or 4 different wines-none of which were very good in my opinon, but you can say you did it I guess. Overall great tour!
We stayed a few days in Santiago after our cruise. We truely enjoyed this full day guided tour. Our guide Catalina is an excellent English speaking guide. She guided us through the super confusing streets of Vina del Mar, will definetly got lost without a guide. The "Street arts" are amazingly beautiful. Catalina took us to the best photo spots and she is an excellent photographer. The rest of the tour are beautiful too. We enjoyed the whole tour very much. If you are lucky, you may have Catalina. Last but not least, the price is so affortable!
Pablo was a great tour guide. Very informative and was great at speaking both Spanish and English so everyone on the trip could understand him. Gave a good taste of all the areas we visited, a fully packed day but a good trip to do.
All the stars are only for our guide Sergio that was really good, anyway we was disappointed because it was impossible for us to visit the house of Pablo Neruda "LA SEBASTIANA". In the tour was planned the visit for about 20 minutes of stop, but we arrived too early and the house was closed ... I asked if it was possible to go back but I was told no. If you want to see that house is better if you choose another tour.
Pick up at 8:00 instead of 6:30. We waited an hour and half. This was advertised as English and Spanish. There are 17 of us and only 2 that needed English, one was bilingual He started out talking 20 minutes in Spanish and about 4 minutes English. He starts in English after talking in Spanish but falls back to Spainish. . He did try but when 14 people speak Spanish and you have to wait 10 minutes then he turns to you two and says 2 sentences in English and goes on to the next thing it is frustrating. He lost 2 people for awhile and got upset and never really cared afterwards. He never talked again and actually fell asleep on the hour and half back. The traffic was bad coming in so he dropped us off about a mile from our hotel even though we said we did not know where we were and asked him to take us to the hotel. He was very dismissive. This is the first time I have been disappointed in Viator.
Wonderful companions and friends I met. Wonderful tour guide - Sergio. He was funny and kind and knowledgeable. Great tour of Valparaiso.
The tour was good but we had limited free time and headed back to Santiago almost straight after lunch. Would have been nice to have some more time around Valparaiso.
Igancia was well-informed and energetic. She narrated the tour in Spanish/Portuguese/English fluently, told us many fun facts. She kindly made suggestions for sights/food/drinks too. The tour does what it promises, I recommend it. The only inconvenience was the poor English knowledge of the company's call center via phone.
Sergio was our tour guide and he was excellent. A very caring guide. I felt like we saw everything that was on the published tour information and we spent a great amount of time going up and down stairs in the Valparaiso district. Such colorful homes and streets! Sergio took great care of everyone, translating into 3 different languages every thing that was going on. I highly recommend this tour!
This tour was amazing. Chris, our tour guide, was very nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it. Thanks Chris.
Travel was alright and on time. We went to all the sites as advertised. However, it felt that our guide was not very knowledgeable and that he did not have many explanations, at times he was even confused about where to walk.
This is basically a tour of Valparaiso with a coffee stop enroute and a lunch stop, and a little free time, in Vina del Mar on the way back. Outstanding value and well organized multi-lungual tour. You do not have to eat lunch at the dedicated stop as long as you are back at the alloted time. Our tour guide was the lovely Catalina. She was knowledgeable, humorous and managed to deliver information to all the various language speakers effortlessly. She is a real credit to the company.
A really well organised trip. Political guide, Chris, was excellent and made the tour very interesting.
Had a great time walking through artistic Valparaiso accompanied by jazz and salsa music. A big shout out to the guide who made this enjoyable!
I wouldn't recommend this kind of tour. If you really want to see Valparaíso, do it yourself. Viña Del Mar is a touristic place full of hotels and not really worth visiting as a day trip. I got picked up at 7AM and got dropped off after 7PM. You would think I saw many things on 12 hours tour, but most of the time we spent in the bus and restaurants. We were walking around Valparaíso for about an hour. In Viña del Mar we only visited the famous flower clock for about 10 minutes and left for the restaurant. After that we also got to see a beach with sea lions. But all in all, as someone who is spending a couple of months traveling around South America, I wouldn't recommend this trip.
Pick up was a breeze. Everything went well. Our guide, Matt, was engaged, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommended.
Awesome day tour! Was picked up from my hotel and our guide Nando called me to let me know he was on his way. Stopped by a Winery on the way there on the outskirts of the city and it was a very nice view. Nando was very informative about the history of both cities. The city is very colorful and the views from the views are amazing. We stopped for lunch and had a beach view right in front of our restaurant. We also got to see Sea Lions from a distance which was amazing! On the last stop of the tour in Vina we got to see a statue from the Rapa Nui Tribes. It was just amazing to be able to see history so up close. Thank you all for the memories that will forever last a lifetime with me. Special shout out to Nando for making it a amazing day!
The agents work from another country and don’t have any idea of any tours in this country. Many reactions in Chile are on quarantine and will be for a while, changing from phases - so many tours are not operating. Don’t book first - ask agent if they know the situation because then you have to go through trouble to get your refund and waste time . Better contact directly the company locally who does tours- also better prices
We were looking forward to this tour and visiting Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. Tour guide arrived 1/3 late because of ‘traffic’. When we got on the bus only two single seats available. The old bus was too crowded with 15 people on board. The seats were fit for children, not adults. Patched up sun roof held together with tape. One person had to sit between the driver and tour guide! Very uncomfortable. We stopped at a roadside tourist wine tasting/cafeteria/gift store for 1/2 hr. This was 20 min into the trip. The tour of Valparaíso was good as we walked a lot of streets. We were taken to two places in Viña del Mar. One a little garden as you drive into town and the second a statue from Easter Island. We were dropped off at a restaurant for 1-1/2 hrs and then waited another 20 min for the driver and tour operator to return. Way too long and a waste of time for lunch (at our expense).
Yet another excellent trip with this company. Eric was once again our tour guide doing a wonderful job of informing us of the history and sights we were seeing. His English is 1st class, also on this trip he had Brazilian and Italian people and he broke effortlessly into the different languages.
We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, the trip in the van was comfortable and the tour leader, who was quite genial and accommodating, provided a good description of the main sites in Spanish and English. One negative was the choice of restaurant; it was expensive and there were no reasonable alternatives nearby.
Overall I’d recommend this tour. We were advised pick up time the night before and pick up arrived on time. The vast majority of the bus were Brazilians meaning the tour was conducted in Portuguese and English. This was a little bit difficult but the guide did a great job managing it. We stopped at a small winery place for a toilet break then continued through to Valparaiso. The commentary was good but I’d suggest reading up on the main sights and persons from these areas as it didn’t mean a lot to us. We then walked through the colourful streets of Valparaiso, ending up on the waterfront. We were picked up and taken for a short stop at a museum in Vina del mar and the flower clock. We were then driven to a beach where we had lunch, then driven home. It was quite a chilly day so the beach was not exactly enjoyable but it would be lovely on a sunny day. We arrived home pretty much on schedule. I suspect the tour is aimed at bit more at Brazilians than us, but it was still interesting to get out of Santiago and see other major cities. The guide was very friendly and welcoming and always made sure guests were OK.
Very convenient pick up and drop off at hotel. Our guide/driver Alex had only rudimentary English but was able to communicate main points. We saw highlights of Valparaíso and Vina del Mar. Well worth it.
Juan was on time. The tour was very good. We had win r tasting on the way. Got lost in Valparaiso, but they found me. The restaurant selecte3 was very good
It was a good change to get out of the city and explore the country. The driving wasn't long and the tour guide kept us entertained along the way with his extensive knowledge of the region. Valparaiso is beautiful and an artist's dream, very bohemian and groovy. There is just lots to see through all the streets. The winery tour was also good and you get to choose to keep the actual glass you are taste testing with.
It was a decent tour except that I expected a bit more sightseeing in Valparaiso. The tour covered only one general area and I was a bit disappointed that I didn't see the more colorful houses in other areas. Part of the reason for the shortcoming is that there are multiple parties from different hotels and it took a bit more time to pick everyone up. One of the group (family of 3 chain smokers) did not follow the group and got lost. We wound up wasted valuable time to find them. Vina del Mar was a nice place to visit, nice beach with lots of visitors.
Lovely day out. Stopping en route at a winery, you make your way to Valparaiso and see many interesting sights. Then to a more relaxed visit to Vino del Mar. A particular mention should be made for our guide Gabriel who was fluent in English and Portuguese
Great way to see Valparaiso and Vina del Mar while in Santiago. Our guider Franco was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Our driver Juan Carlos was also great. Franco selected a really good restaurant in Vin del Mar with a great view of the ocean.
VERY NICE TOUR, the winery was not that great with only one tasting. It was a great tour of Valparaiso was very good and the guide took us to many place that were interesting.
Bus was OK - no microphone, and on return no air conditioning; so was very uncomfortable, not to mention we were last pick-up so sat at the back of the bus. Had to ask the bus driver to slow down to avoid being reckless on the road. The guide was ok - always rushing. Had little time to browse shops - only time for cheap flea market items (not worth buying). The guide showed was particularly enthusiastic so made the narrative and overall trip feel rather mundane at best.
It's a good tour for the price. The 10-passenger van was full. Ariel's English was good and he was quite informative on the drive and at the sites. My only real complaint was about the timing. I asked for the pickup time 2 days ahead, and they told me 6:50 at our hotel (hotel pickup was a very good feature of this tour). So we got up at 6, checked out of the hotel at 6:45 and waited, for over an hour. They arrived about 8. It seems they did not make any effort to calculate realistic pickup times.
This was a great day getting to see and walk in Valparaiso, vina Del Mar, renaca. The tour wasn’t rushed, the guide was very good as was the driver. The restaurant chosen for lunch was well priced and had excellent seafood while having a beachfront view. You cannot get a better value than this!
Tour very interesting, the driver was puntual, the guide woman was very nice. We have a good time together
Our guide Catalina gave good information about places we visited. It was well structured tour with many interesting places.
Pros - our guide was very nice and extremely smart and gave us a detailed tour of the sights and letting us know what was going on. Cons- man what a long day, we were picked up at 8:30 and came back after 7:30. There was nine of us in a small tight van and everyone was basically on top of each other. What really killed this experience for me was the some of the guest. They should not be mixing English speakers with Portuguese. The three Portuguese guest were the most awful, horrid, obnoxious, disgusting people I’ve ever met. They were LOUD, extremely loud the whole time we were in the van and everyone was sick of it. Their mouths never stop moving and I think we all wish our guide would say something so they could shut up. We were stuck in the car for over 4 hours on our way back due to Forrest fires, imagine after a long day of touring, being tired and a small van with no room to move or even headspace and having two people sitting on each side of you conversation loudly like they were In their own house. They would not even sit together and would constantly be reaching over. They kept making us stop to smoke weed and even smoked while on our walking tour. Our guide knew of the fires and should of made us head back sooner but some of the people vote to stay. This would have been a great tour minus the three Brazilian in our group and minus the uncomfortable transport. After this experience I’m not sure I’m ever going to do a tour again. My ears were bleeding by the time I got back.
We went to a full day trip to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar and we had a great time. Our guide Catalina and driver Miguel were very accommodating and provided great information about the landmarks. Valparaiso is the most colorful town I have ever visited and the walking tour was wonderful. The beach though in Vina del Mar is the place we enjoyed the most. Overall, we had a great experience! Can't recommend the company enough
The bus driver was somehow loco but she managed to make the trip great anyway. Recommend it to the fullest!
