Fr Stgo: Wild Penguins, Sealion, Sandboard, Paragliding & Picnic

This tour was one of the highlights of my time in Chile! Seeing a penguin in the wild, another item checked off the bucket list! Jimmy is a great guide and took care of every single detail. The Chilean picnic was delicious and great way to start paragliding. If you’re in Santiago and want a day that combines wildlife, adventure, and amazing Chilean food, this tour is 100% worth it!

What a day!!!! Jimmy the driver/company owner is a really cool guy. Speaks great English! We meet the penguins!!!! Absolutely brilliant! The cutest little creatures on earth! And what a beautiful beach/waterfront area. Spent the whole day looking at the ocean! Had a great time para sailing… once in a lifetime experience! From there we went sand boarding! We ski a lot so this came quite naturally to us. What a great time! Sit back and enjoy, Jimmy will handle everything!

This was one of the most fun tours we've ever been on. Jimmy was very cool and calm. The trip to see the penguins was beautiful as we got to see a varied coastal landscape that gave us a unique slice of Chile both in the car and on the boat. We were initially a bit scared and intimidated by the sandboarding but he was a great teacher. He also found us a delicious empanada spot, and provided a lovely picnic with some great snacks and wines. Paragliding was an exhilarating experience and it was the perfect setting to try it.

Jimmy was a great guide and host. Lunch was excellent, the empanadas were delicious and the homemade salsa was excellent. Boat trip to see the penguins was a blast and the sand boarding was very fun. Highly recommend

We had the opportunity to travel with Jimmy — an excellent person and a highly professional guide. His knowledge of the city and its history is outstanding, and he is a great storyteller. He took us to exceptional locations where we were able to photograph Chilean wildlife, including Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and pelicans. The tour was very well organized in terms of timing, and the gastronomic experience was excellent.

A fantastic day exploring wildlife and adventure. Seeing the penguins and sea lions up close was an unforgettable experience, and the sand dunes were incredible (albeit very hot)—sand boarding was so much fun and a real highlight. Unfortunately, we missed out on paragliding due to the weather, which was disappointing, but overall it was still an amazing and memorable excursion.

At first I thought this was just a penguin watching activity, to my surprise there was an option to try paragliding(paid) and sandboarding (free) as well during the day. Team organizing the events were very kind. social, made home cooked food extras for us as well. It was a long day but so much worth it for the 3 unique experiences it covers and well justified the price point. Penguins were super adorable and the highlight of my trip.

What an awesome adventure! On this tour, you get to see and do a lot of various things! We started out in a local fisherman's market and got to see Sea Lions. From here, we left and went on a boat to see penguins. There were many to see among different birds. Additionally, we got some yummy empanadas for lunch and had the chance to go Paragliding. I was lucky enough to do it with a professional on Chile's Red Bull team! This was the highlight for me! I asked him to do some tricks, and he did! It was so fun! Afterwards we did the sand boarding which was a cool experience and super picturesque. Thank you for all the various activities Jimmy and Jay!

Jay was wonderful—super helpful throughout the whole day and always there to support Jimmy and the group. As a world traveler, she brought great energy and made the experience even better. Jimmy treated us to delicious empanadas and even surprised us with Chilean magnets at the end. Both Jimmy and Jay are professional, caring, and incredibly fun guides. We had an unforgettable day on this tour with Jimmy and Jay! Our small group of just five people made the experience feel personal and well cared for. Best day ever! Jimmy is amazing! Such a well planned trip. He is patient and funny and fun to spend the day with. We saw penguins and they were so cute! I can’t say what the highlight was because every part of the day was incredible! The sandboarding was fun and the paragliding was incredible! Jimmy even made some homemade salsa and pisco sour for our lunch. I would recommend this trip to everyone!

One of my favorite tours ever! So many fun activities packed into one day, but structured in a way that did not feel exhausting or overwhelming. Jimmy was the best tour guide - super accommodating, making sure everyone was having a great time and improvising as needed due to weather. He also made sure to get me back to Santiago with plenty of time to catch my flight. I only had time for this one tour but I’m certain all of Jimmy’s other tours are just as amazing. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for an adventurous day trip in the area.

The penguins was the highlight of the trip but in general, Amazing tour, staffing was fantastic! And it was worth the experience and saw a lot of the culture.

Excellent full day tour! Simons and Lily picked me up in Valparaiso around 9:00AM. A couple other travelers had been picked up in Santiago earlier. We were whisked off to see sea lions, several gorgeous beach towns north of Vina Del Mar and penguins via a small private boat. It was quite rocky in the open ocean so bring sea sick medicine if you need that. I was fine but others might not be. After the penguins we traveled to the paragliding where we were served delicious empanadas of our own selection. I had the crab which was tasty. Lily brought homemade salsa which she had created herself. Delicious. Simons and Lily set the entire lunch up for us and cleared it when we were done. I also tried the paragliding and highly recommend it. My instructor Danny was the best! So much fun! On the way home we saw a gorgeous sunset. Excellent guides who really took care of us. Try to book this with Simons and Lily if you go. Worth the price. Village we took our boat out of to see the penguins was like the East Hamptons.

Everything ran just as expected. We were picked up at our home, driven very comfortably in a taxi to our destination drop off. We enjoyed seeing the sea lions and the fish market headed through town with a guided tour to a charming boat that took us to see the penguins, followed by the most delicious empanada lunch and paragliding adventure with the most beautiful views. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. We then drove to the sand dunes, and Jimmy gave us a personal sand boarding lesson, which was not difficult at all. Our taxi driver had waited for us the whole time and drove us back to our home. What a wonderful day. I highly highly recommend this trip Jimmie and Larissa made us feel like friends. I look forward to another one of their tours soon definitely five star day. GO PENGUINS.

wonderful experience! all the way you pass through extremely beautiful seaside towns and there are some spectacular views of the ocean. We had the opportunity to try paragliding, sand dune boarding and to eat the most delicious empanadas. All of this accompanied with the wonderful company of Jimmy.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!! I don't even know where to start! The tour was absolutely fantastic!!! In the course of one day, I saw a lot of central Chile (eg from Santiago to Valparaiso to viña to zapallar and everything in between). We saw the local fish market and sea lions then headed north to see sea otters, a dolphin and a handful of penguins. Lunch was delicious and I even went paragliding before heading out to go sand boarding. What an action packed day!!! Maybe even more importantly, Jimmy is simply AMAZING!!! The BEST. My phone was stolen out of my hands in Santiago 12 hr before the trip started (and 12 hr after landing in Chile). It was super stressful (as I didn't know most #s - including Jimmy's - and was locked out of all accounts due to "suspicious logins" in Chile). Jimmy took me to the mall to help me get a cheap temporary phone as soon as it opened!!! He could not have been nicer or more gracious. He is amazing - and his tour company is as well!!! 1000000% recommended!!!! You won't regret it!

I had an amazing time with Jimmy! I was nervous when he said that no one else had signed up for my day but he kindly took me anyways!! It was such a beautiful day and it was so great to see the penguins, go paragliding, and try sandboarding! The penguins were very cute! I'd 100% recommend!!

The expedition we booked with Jimmy exceeded all of our expectations! Even before the excursion itself, Jimmy was prompt and professional in terms of scheduling, payment, and communication. Our day started with Jimmy picking us up in his comfortable and spacious passenger van right from our hotel. From there, he drove us to beautiful Zapallar for our penguin viewing. A boat was waiting for us to take us to the penguin island where we saw tons of penguins, sea otters, and even sea lions! From there we drove further down the coast for what was by far the best meal of our entire week in Chile. I don’t know how Jimmy found the place, but the empanadas he served us (along with homemade salsa, snacks, and Chilean desserts) were out of this world. We had our little picnic overlooking the ocean and enjoyed every second. Next up was our amazing sand boarding experience. Jimmy drove us to another beach town where he took us to a HUGE sand dune and taught us how to sand board. None of us had even been skiing or snowboarding before but Jimmy was very patient in teaching us. We were cruising down the sand dune in no time. On top of all this, the scenes we saw on our road trip gave us a much greater appreciation for the natural beauty and diversity of Chile, something we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. All in all, an absolutely amazing experience with an amazing guide! Jimmy knows his stuff and will make sure you’ll have a once in a lifetime experience in Chile.

Absolutely everything was great. The boat got quite close to the penguins though I did zoom in on my iPhone for the photos. I loved paragliding and they were the best empanadas, the best pisco sour, and the best tour of our trip! Full disclosure, we all chose to skip the sand boarding because none of us were that athletic, the rest of the tour in Valparaiso and c Viña Del Mar just left us wanting more, so we booked Jimmy for another tour there! Great experience!

This is an exciting tour worth the money. Jimmy, our guide took wonderful care of us. The views are spectacular, sand boarding was really fun to learn. Lunch was delicious and so was the homemade Pisco! Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Yesterday I did a tour with Go Penguins and it was so f****ing great! We went to see penguins, sea lions, did sand boarding and saw so many beautiful places! The guide, Jimmy, is amazing and he just gave us the best day possible. If you are around, please treat yourself to this tour! I dont usually write long reviews but the reason I'm sharing this, is because a friend recommended it to me and I want to spread the word haha. If I would have stayed longer i would have booked one of the other tours as well! Thank you so much Jimmy! 😊

What a great day!!! We were party of 8, we all were soo impressed and enjoyed every minute of what Jimmy, Simona & Lilli introduced us in Chile!! Penguins, sea lions, dolphins & sea birds! Exclusive empanada lunch on a top of a mountain with great ocean view, dunes & beautiful ocean line towns… we all loved it!!! Thank you all !

Seeing penguins was on our bucket list. We had an amazing day. After a few hours’ drive where we learned about local attractions, history, and other stuff, we saw not only penguins with their baby penguins, but also pelicans, sea lions, and dolphins – captivating view! Authentically served empanadas for lunch and attractions on the way back were an unexpected bonus. Simona, Jimmy, Liliana – thank you so much, we loved it!

AMAZING ADVENTURE! Jimmy has every detail planned out perfectly. We enjoyed every part of the experience and it was well worth the money.

This was one of the best full day tours I've ever been on. Not only did we get to see sea lions, penguins, and a myriad of other animals, we got to travel by land (comfortable van), sea (a small fishing boat), and sky (optional parasailing). The guide, Jimmy, was very knowledgeable and made extra effort to make sure the entire group was taken care of during the entire journey, providing us with great drinks, the best empanadas I've ever had, and even a birthday cake for the person celebrating their birthday! Yes, it's more expensive than some of the other tours, but honestly, the value of what you get far exceeds the cost. We spent 14 hours together when all was said and done, and it felt like 14 minutes. Plus we got to get within like 10m of penguins, so that alone was worth it. 10/10 would recommend.

I had an excellent time on this tour! We were picked up right on time from our hotel in Santiago and driven to Valparaiso where we visited the fish market and saw sea lions. We then rode to Zapallar. The drive was beautiful and provided a welcome reprieve from the city views in the capital. We boarded a boat to see the penguins and the beautiful homes and beaches. We placed orders for empanadas and picked them up on our way to eat outdoors at a great overlook of the beach where I went paragliding. The tour guides also provided home made snacks and Pisco (which was way better than the Pisco tried previously). I highly recommend booking this trip!

I had an amazing time! Paragliding was worth it! You get to see a lot of penguins and even sea lions! The empanadas were the best I had in Chile!!

Our guide had to improvise a bit because a road (Hi 68) to sand boarding was closed for a holy day on December 8, 2023 for a pilgrimage to a church, so he filled it with a visit to the Alpacas instead, which was delightful. He made our lunch and we ate by the shore of the paragliding facility. I was cold and he talked to the owner, who sold me an amazing jacket for very little money that I wear all the time now that has the Chilean Paragliding logo on it. The penguin boat ride was a little chili but well worth it to see the Penguin Island. Very fun trip and highly recommended!

Jimmy and Ana were amazing hosts! They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and show us a good time. Don’t give this tour a second thought! Well worth it!

Jimmy and Michela were great tour guides and we had a wonderful day! Took our six year old along who loved the sand boarding! The lunch they prepared was incredible and we felt taken care of the whole day. If you want an authentic experience with kind tour guides, this is it!

Jimmy and Michela made sure this was one of best days of my life - they are true angels in many ways; I would recommend this experience to anyone 100% - incredible!!!

Jimmy is a laid back guide who really cares about giving you the best experience Chile has to offer. We were able to see penguins, try paragliding, and sandboard which was an absolute blast. I left my jacket in his van, and he made sure to return it to me the next day, which is above and beyond. Thanks for the great time Jimmy!!

Fantastic trip Penguins, Sea Lions, sand boarding and great wine! Jimmy was great from reaching out to organize pick up times and all along the day. Anything we wanted more or less of he made happen. Loved the experience so much did a second day!!!!

Great day with Jimmy. Picked up in Santiago and delivered to Jimmy in Valparasio. Excellent ride to go see the penguins. Penguin trip was great. Skilled boat captain and we got to see penguins and overall a beautiful area. Jimmy got us empanadas for lunch and we had an outdoor lunch watching para gliders. Great wine and fruit to go along with the view. Sand boarding a blast. Jimmy is a great teacher and all of us had success.

Jimmy was fab. It felt like a chilled day out with a friend. We saw everything we came for- unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough to get the boat up close to the penguins but that was no one’s fault and we did have a boat trip elsewhere instead. Food was great and sandboarding very fun although we were rubbish at it. Would highly recommend this trip.

Communication was excellent through out. The food and drinks were delicious with a personable touch and well planned itinerary. Due to weather conditions we had to observe the Pinguin island from the beach. The tour highlight was sand-boarding with a beautiful ocean view.

Passeio TOP. Jimmy was super nice, lots of pacience and willingness to provide a great time to all of us. Many activities, full day. Food was great. The parapente experince was also very nice. My daughter of 12 years old love it. Worthed. Very good experience.

Definitely worth the money! Our guides were amazing. When the weather wasn’t cooperating they were quick on their toes to find an alternate way to spend the day!

We loved the tour. Guides are friendly and knowledgeable! They took it in a good pace so that we could enjoy and not get bored. The sand dunes were a good surprise. I would save more time for it if I could repeat it. I definitely recommend to make a day a great day on any trip!

The trip was awesome! Go Penguins really set a high bar in customer service and knowledge. There is no doubt i would definitely do this again. The pickup was timely. The penguin mission was top choice. To be transparent, you take a boat and observe the penguins with binoculars. We were able to get in close while respecting the rules of the protected area since the water was “friendly”. There were also massive jellyfish to see! Lunch provided was very good! Go Penguins does a great job of partnering with local businesses to offer flexibility in eating. Sandboarding was awesome. Our tour guide also happens to be an amazing snowboard/ sandboard instructor too! Overall i rate this 10/10. Its a full day and it goes quick but not rushed! Great Job guys!!!

I would give a 6 if possible. Jimmy and Simona are amazing hosts and treated my son and me to the best day of our trip to Chile. It's an all-day affair with 4 distinct and fantastic experiences. 1. The boat ride to the penguins. 2. A nice stroll along the beach in Papudo which is a charming back town. 3. Lunch overlooking a scenic view of the ocean where you'll have the option to paraglide if you like. 4. Sandboarding on the huge ConCon dunes. Every stop was epic. To quote my son, "You could cut the trip into half and still be super satisfied." A quick note on the sandboarding. You can take it as easy or as aggressive as you want. Jimmy is a former snowboarding instructor and he had us ripping down a fast part of the dunes which was the highlight of this day for us. We liked our time with Jimmy and Simona so much we hired them to show us around Valparaiso a different day which we also thoroughly enjoyed.

Terrific closure for our trip in the south of Chili. Jimmy and Simone were very generous of their time, explanations of the beautiful Valparaiso region. Taking a day trip to see sea lions, penguins, birds, nice walk around the blue sea and a very good lunch in a chilian family restaurant. An amazing and unforgettable experience. We were deeply shocked and in love with Chile. Jimmy and Nicole received us with such kindness, and Jimmy is an exceptional guide: funny, close and with impressive knowledge. He takes the time to explain every interesting corner of the city, sharing details that we would never discover on our own. The penguins were adorable and the boat ride, an adventure full of joy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, ideal for those visiting Chile for the first time and looking for a safe and welcoming space to enjoy its landscapes and charms.

A lovely tour, very colorful and magical, loved the penguins, the seascape, the sea lions lunch overlooking the sea and the colorful paragliding and sand boarding everything was beautiful, plus Simona and Lili were super friendly and very good guides, I totally recommend it.
