This was an extraordinary retrospective of how wine was made, how the vineyard grew and how a woman changed the industry in Chile. Tasting the different varieties added to the guide’s information.

If you are visiting multiple wineries, I would suggest going here last. I liked the tour where we would go to different parts of the winery and would sip one wine during each stop. It was hot outside. So it was nice that the tour was shady. I originally bought a Carmenere but was persuaded to buy a blend red wine (it was $14) that they needed to sell. If you have time you can walk around the winery and see different areas of the winery.

Very good tour (the one that costs $CL 22.000) and beautiful winery. It’s in the city of Santiago itself, around 30 minutes by car from the San Cristóbal Hill Pio Nono entrance. Very good guide, very well informed. We tried 3 different wines, 1 white, 2 red. After the tour we were able to walk next to the vineyard and chill in a very beautiful garden. My only slight complain is that the tour is quite short, 1 hour, so we were a little bit in a hurry from one place to another. I think it should be 1.5 hr. long. Overall it was great.

Excellent definitely recommend! Great set up and style with tastings as you go along the guided tour. The beautiful Valentina was an engaging guide and had a wealth of knowledge to share (very good English too!) History preserved and presented well. Wines also v good. Perfect for a short and sweet vineyard visit close to Santiago.

What an incredible tour! Valentina was such a wonderful guide, incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and gave such a warmth to the tour and our experience. Her English was absolutely amazing as well! The Winery was stunning, very old and the wines taste amazing. It was really great to learn about the history of the winery and to experience Chile wine! We messaged the company on wattsapp and asked for a English tour which all worked out so well. We got one bus from the center of Santiago to the winery easily which only took 40mins and dropped us right outside. 100% would recommend if you have time in Santiago (infact I would recommend you make time to visit this wonderful place!)

I’ve been to many vineyards around the world and this one was truly enjoyable. Excellent guide who spoke good English. We learned about their long family history in the business and tasted some very good wine.

It was fantastic. It is close to the city. The tour is performed by a well-informed guide and you get many different wine tastings.

We visited Cousino Macul winery with another couple and chose the tour with tastings. Along the tour we received 5 tastings of the wonderful Cousino Macul wines. Our tour guide was Francisco. He was fantastic. His knowledge of wine was extensive. He blended that knowledge with the history of Cousino Macul and of wine making in Chile to weave an intriguing story that held our attention throughout the tour. The 90-minute tour flew by and was intensely interesting from start to finish. Cousino Macul winery is a beautiful property with impressive buildings dating back over 130 years. The selection of wines and the quality are excellent. Highly recommended.

Interesting tour with more aspects than just the wine - the history of the Cousiño Macul family and their influence in Chile. Grounds not as beautiful as some vineyards but the staff are motivated and happy and it feels relaxed and friendly. Claudia, our guide was lovely and seemed to enjoy her job. The last wine we tasted (Dama de Plata) was delicious and we went back a few days later to pick up a case of it. Nice location close to public transport so no need to drive.

Excellent experience and guide Valentina

My fiancé and I did the bike tour. We started with the bicycle tour through the vineyards and then did the tasting tour with the guide Daniel. The guide showed a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm throughout the tour. We cleared up many doubts and liked it a lot. The experience is very worthwhile.

A unique experience! It was our first time visiting a winery, especially a winery with so much tradition. The entire tour, the guide Pamela was very kind and attentive, telling us the whole history of the Cousiño family. We were delighted, we will certainly return on a next visit to Santiago.
