To begin a little about the rooms, the bathrooms are quite small. Take some adjustment, but you have to keep in mind,This is a very old rustic building. The staff was very helpful, especially Daniela at the front desk. She went above and beyond her duty to help me out,now in the café they have the continental breakfast and it’s very good, comes with whatever they had planned for the day. It comes with juice, coffee, or tea, yogurt, and granola normally. The waiter Oscar was very good. Spoke a little English always smiling and friendly. The location is close to the plaza de Armas and there you can find everything you need. Stores, food, parks, more shopping. My only complaint and it’s minor is that our room set over the café and they smoke in the café so I catch a lot of cigarette smoke seeping through my windows.

We had a wonderful stay here. Lovely rooms, amazing food, but importantly genuine, helpful and caring staff. They really went out of their way to help us. We had an unusual issue that they made multiple efforts above and beyond to help us resolve- successfully!
Charming hotel in good location. Super friendly staff went out of her way to help me find some food on Sunday evening when I arrived as all restaurants nearby were closed. Room was large & comfortable, shower good, outdoor terrace area pleasant to sit in, and a fridge down the hall perfect for chilling drinks/leftovers. Food from the restaurant delicious and service great. Only complaint: instant coffee at breakfast!
Me and my family had a lovely stay. From the staff to the waiters, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We landed in Santiago too early and the manager let us check in as soon as the room was ready which was very nice as we had our child with us. The room was very comfortable, spacious and I loved every detail of it. It is truly a gem and well preserved! The location is perfect as it is close to everything downtown. I also loved the pastries and bakery shop inside the hotel. 100 recommended :)
Charming, vintage hotel that was once a grand, patrician home of the Zañartu family. The prices are modest and the rooms, clean and comfortable, but, definitely “no frills”. My only complaints are: 1) the breakfasts are good except the free coffee is instant. I paid for cappuccinos each day and they were delicious. 2) The bath mats are the ugliest and strangest I’ve ever seen but, they might be especially germ-resistant, or strong enough to withstand hotel laundries. There must be a reason they stock the bathrooms with them but they are hideous and skimpy, and the opposite of spa-like luxury. Otherwise, the rooms, the staff, the food, ambience, and convenient location was EXCELLENT!
