Itinerary
The first stop is an invitation to open your eyes. The viewpoint of Mount Paxareiras offers a wide view over the estuary of Muros and Noia, where the sea enters the land with Atlantic softness. From here you understand the complexity of the Galician landscape: green hills descending towards the water, small sheltered beaches and villages that seem to lean on the slope. It is the perfect place to take perspective (geographical and emotional) before continuing to the more open coast.
The next landmark is a rare natural spectacle in Europe: the Ézaro waterfall. The Xallas River, after traversing the Galician interior, rushes directly over the ocean in a powerful fall that breaks against the granite rock. The environment, with intense gray and green tones, creates an almost theatrical scene where water is the absolute protagonist. The visit allows you to approach the base of the waterfall and feel the energy of the place, especially when the flow is generous.
We circulate glued to the coast of the estuary of Corcubion, famous once for being shelter of ships during the storms. We also cross the villages of Cee and Corcubión, full of whaling history and trade with the Republic of Venice
The journey continues to the mythical Cape of Fisterra, for centuries considered the “end of the world”. Here the Atlantic unfolds without limits and the horizon seems infinite. The lighthouse, erected in the 19th century, guards the cliffs and has become a symbol for both navigators and pilgrims who prolong the Camino de Santiago to this end point. The wind, changing light and constant sound of the sea make the stop an intense and memorable experience.
At the foot of the cape is the village of Fisterra, a seaport with a marked identity. Its narrow streets, fish market and boats remind us that here the sea is not landscape, but way of life. The tour includes free time to stroll through the city centre and enjoy local cuisine, where seafood and fresh fish occupy the centre of the table. It is a time to relax and taste the Atlantic essence calmly.
In the afternoon, the route leads to Muxía, where the sanctuary of the Virgin of the Boat is perched in front of the ocean in an overwhelming enclave. According to tradition, the Virgin arrived here in a stone boat to encourage the apostle James in his preaching. The rock formations surrounding the temple feed the legend and add a symbolic dimension to the landscape. The contrast between the sober architecture of the sanctuary and the force of the sea creates an atmosphere of natural recollection and grandeur.
We are bordering the entire river of Camariñas with beautiful landscapes and also cross the village of Camariñas, famous for its lace and history of shipwrecks
The last stop is Cape Vilan, one of the most spectacular and rugged points on the Costa da Morte. Its lighthouse, a pioneer in the use of electricity in Spain, rises on steep cliffs that descend into an indomitable ocean. The maritime history of the area, marked by shipwrecks and the constant need for guidance, is clearly visible here. It is a resounding closure to the day, with open views and a sense of extreme territory.

Want to clear your head? Go in autumn- the wind will do it for you. Amazing views, lots of history and a comfortable bus. Jorge &Miriam were excellent! It's a full day if sightseeing, plenty if time during lunch time to eat, shop, walk around. Bus takes you close to all the sights so you have enough time to look around. Definitely worth the price.
A nice way to spend the day! Beautiful coastal scenery with several stops. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Some good souvenir shopping too! The bus was comfortable and nice.
**Interesting trip, but a few improvements needed** An interesting and enjoyable trip with a good variety of destinations. However, we felt that visiting three lighthouses was unnecessary and became rather repetitive. The lunch stop in Finisterre was welcome, but with several coaches arriving simultaneously, the restaurant struggled to cope and the meal felt rushed. We also found the dual-language commentary quite tiring. Listening to everything repeated in Spanish and English throughout the day became overwhelming, and eventually we switched off. In future, we would definitely choose an English-only tour. Overall, a worthwhile experience, but a few changes would make the day much more enjoyable.
Guide was excellent explaining history and sites along the way in both Spanish and English.
This was an opportunity to visit the end of the Camino because I wasn’t able to walk it due to time constraints.
Our guide was excellent. She spoke very good English and provided just enough information throughout the trip, but not too much. Highly recommend for those wanting to see the sights of the Spanish coast out of Santiago.
Great tour, slow paced yet full of wonderful stops. Myriam was great with all her explanations alo.g the way. Food recommendedation was great as well. Overall very happy with the tour.
Excellent guided tour from Santiago de Compostela with multiple stops, plenty of time off the bus, and a knowledgable and entertaining tour guide.
A lovely way to end the Camino and see the end of the world ! Comfy bus with beautiful stops. Good recommendation for lunch stop and engaging guide.
A very good experiencie after walking the camino, the bus was comfortable, driver was a professional and the guide was very nice
Great relaxing way to see the Costa de Morte especially Fisterra and Muxia. Perfect way to end a camino trip.
The was a professional tour given with great interest by our guide who clearly had command of the knowledge required throughout. The bus driver was equally obviously expert as he navigated the bus through narrow situations. We loved this full day tour as provided. On a wonderfully sunny, blustery coastal day it was a superb use of our third and final day in Santiago. Highly highly recommend.
Danny was our guide. Spoke in English abd Spanish. The bus had extra seats , so comfortable. The fog had the itinerary a bit changed around, but we managed to see nearly all the points.
The best way to discover Finisterra after finishing the Camino. Our guide was friendly and shared so many interesting facts. The driver was professional and drove safely throughout the journey. Would definitely recommend this tour!
An excellent tour, very well organized and led by a very charismatic and knowledgeable guide . Best way to discover such a beautiful and special area
We absolutely loved our tour to Muxia and Fisterre. The tour guide was knowledgeable and easy to understand for our English tour. She explained things well. The bus was very comfortable seating with great a/c which was appreciated during the heat and street walking the Camino!
It was a really excellent tour. Travel guide was really good. Spoke in Spanish and English. All very clear and as described.
The tour guide spoke in Spanish and then English for the entire trip. She was interesting and informative without being overbearing so there was time to just enjoy the scenery. She had a sense of humor and a very pleasant manner It felt like a perfect amount of time and each stop. I never felt rushed nor that I just had to stand around and wait The only down side is not the tour operators fault, but a fact of nature to just be aware of. Some of the road is a little winding and after lunch I felt a tad of motion sickness. If you are prone to this I would suggest some preparation I’m truly glad I took the day for this trip
Daniel or Danny was very good in English/Spanish but he knew Italian too. Explained, gave indications and answerd all our questions. We enjoyed great nature as well as cultural and heritage sites. The bus driver was the top too, how does he manage on those tiny roads? Great experience. Well done!
We had a very nice guide who spoke both Spanish and English and was knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. I enjoyed this tour!
After walking the Coastal Camino, Our group enjoyed a Toxo Travel private tour for our last day in Santiago de Compostela. We traveled to Finisterre and Muxia, along the coast and visited the beautiful Ezaro waterfall... Our Driver was wonderful, very interesting, helped us find a fantastic lunch, was a perfect gentleman shepherding our group of gals around for the best pictures, places and views. Thanks Toxo Travel for our final and very memorable day in Galicia, Spain
Large ?50 seater coach with commentary in English and Spanish. Good spacing of stops with adequate time at each.
A great thought out day with a good balance of driving and stops to walk around and take photos. Our guide even booked our reservation for lunch. A nice relaxing day.
It's been a wonderful experience! We mainly booked this tour to visit Fisterra and Muxia, but we found all the different stops along the way interesting too! Everything was very well planned to give us a taste of this wonderful area. The guide was very kind and helpful. Would really recommend this tour
Awesome experience! I recommend to anyone traveling to use Viator for a great cultural experience!!!
Excellent value for money! The bus was very comfortable and the guide was kind and knowledgeable. The itinerary was perfectly planned, allowing us to see the highlights of the area without feeling too rushed.
The trip included many key stops with very interesting points to see! Andrea and the driver provided a very pleasant trip!
Very positive experience! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, which made the tour even more enjoyable. The itinerary was perfectly planned allowing enough time to truly appreciate each stop Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever
We highly recommend this tour. Finisterre and Muxia are beautiful places. Daniel was a great Tourguide.
These was a very basic tour which Englishvand Spanish spoken alternatively with no emotion. The guide knew the speech off by heart and just recited so quickly, even in English which is my native language was heard to understand
This trip was brilliant. Danny the tour guide was clear in his English explanations, giving us interesting information about each place. He was friendly, smiley and added a hapoy ambience to the tour. My husband and I really enjoyed the day and the places were beautiful and eye catching. This trip made a memorable day for us during our visit in Santiago de Compostela. One suggestion would be to reduce the time for lunch in Fisterra and to give us extra time in Ponte Maceira to give time for a drink after wandering around and then we can enjoy the beautiful scenery in a relaxed way. Thank you to everyone who organised and delivered this trip.
Great tour of NW Spain. Will probably go there again. Reuben our guide was able to give the historical background and answered all our questions Wonderful ride comfy bus all good No negatives at all!!
It was well planned & all of the various sties had plenty of time to treasure its history & beauty! I highly recommend this day trip!
Our guide Andrea was very knowledgeable, organized and considerate. Top notch. Driver Borja did his job well, too. The trip to Fisterre, Muxia and so on was worth every euro because of the impressive scenery. I think it's better to end a Camino here than at the Cathedral.
Great visit to the end of the earth after hiking the Camino! We just were not up to hiking it and it was the perfect ending to our trip! Unimaginable beauty and love Muxia and Al the rock formations! Great guide who spoke both English and Spanish fluently. And it was a very comfortable bus!
The tour was excellent all the stated stops had enough time to see and visit everything. Danny is very knowledgeable about the tour highlights and gave us enough information about the tour and the sights.
All stops were breathtaking especially Mucia. Tour guide, Andrea, was very knowledgeable and looked after the group. I would take this tour again at the earliest opportunity.
An AMAZING experience! Made possible by an outstanding guide and bus driver! We highly recommend this!
We took the excursion to Finisterre the day after completing the Camino, and it was a meaningful way to conclude the journey. Our guide, Andrea, was helpful, knowledgeable, and ensured the tour was accessible in both Spanish and English—something we really appreciated. In hindsight, we should have opted for a shorter version of the tour; at nine hours, it was simply too long for our tired group. That said, the tour itself was thorough and well organized. One cautionary note: we were directed to La Fortuna for lunch in Finisterre, where a pilgrim-style menu was offered at €20. Unfortunately, the food was bland and tasted processed, with no bread or drinks included, and the service left much to be desired. We'd recommend doing a bit of your own research on dining options rather than relying solely on the guide’s suggestion. Overall, a great experience—just tailor it to your energy level and make your own call on where to eat.
We loved it because being tired from our Camiño it was nice to see more of Spain without a lot of walking. Our guide was informative and spoke Spanish and English. Would highly recommend!
fitting, we had very windy, dreary weather to the ‘end of the world’ Really worth a day trip in any weather. Bus was very comfortable and handled the windy roads very well. The guide spoke well.
Very relaxing day. Dani, the tour guide was great. The bus was comfortable. The sights are well worth seeing. The little town which was the last stop was perfect.
It was an adventure of learning. We saw a waterfall, various Cathedrals from different eras. Some were taken over from pagan and/or Islam back in the day. One could see the traces of the pagan and/or Islamic tradition in the style of the buildings...
Expect a long day but one of the best excursions you could ever go on. Make sure you bring a phone charger cord or spare battery for those pics!
Very good organization, excellent guide, small group of 15 people. Many interesting places and information. Thank you for a beautiful day.
Liked the variety of settings we got to see and the time spent at each. Clean bus and easy to follow instructions at each stop.
Mucus was the highlight with the big stones and waves crashing but we also enjoyed the other stops. The waterfall and granite rocks were also amazing.
A lovely city with narrow streets, some nice bars and restaurants. Just make sure you bring good waterproofs for the relentless rain.
Efficient tour of the coast. It’s a busy 9 hour day. You meet at Toxo tours office by 9am and walk about 5 mins to a big coach bus which holds 55 people. You have a guide (our was a nice young lady with brown hair in a bun) and a competent driver. The guide was very good at explaining directions and the trip. She spoke in Spanish and then in English. She kept everything on time and efficient which I appreciated. The tour goes to quite a few places so is a good value if you want to see a lot. You stop first in Muros a fishing town and have some time to walk around on your own. Then you go to a waterfall- I could have done without this stop to allow more time other places but it was on the way. You then go to Fisterra the end of the world stop. That’s a good stop. Then you go to the Fisterra town stop to eat lunch (on your own). Then you go to Muxia (I think the best stop) and finally a small old village. You are back at 6. A lot of stops but you see a lot. I would say an efficient way to see a lot and if you have an extra day in Santiago it’s worth doing it.
