Our tour guide, Martin, was excellent. Explained everything in both Spanish and English. His expertise made our experience so very enjoyable. Would highly recommend Viator.

I had a fantastic experience on the Excursión a Finisterre y Costa da Morte with Santiago Excursiones. It was a wonderful way to discover some of the most spectacular landscapes, coastal villages and cultural highlights of Galicia. The excursion was very well organised, with a great balance of sightseeing, local history, scenery and time to enjoy each stop. The Costa da Morte is a truly beautiful and fascinating part of Galicia, and this excursion provided an excellent opportunity to experience the region beyond Santiago de Compostela. A special mention must go to Nordia, our guide, who was fantastic throughout the day. Her knowledge of Galicia and the region was exceptional, and she brought the history, culture and stories of the area to life in a way that was both informative and enjoyable. Her enthusiasm and knowledge added so much to the experience and made the day particularly memorable. I was also very impressed with Santiago Excursiones. Everything was well organised and professional, making the day completely enjoyable and stress-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to book my Galician excursions with Santiago Excursiones again, and I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Santiago de Compostela who wants to explore more of this incredible region. A fantastic day, an excellent company and a wonderful guide — highly recommended!
Our tour guide was excellent and shared a lot of information about the various stops we made. The stops were all interesting to see.
Great tour to see the coastline and learn more about the area and culture
I joined this Finisterre day tour from Santiago de Compostela after finishing the Camino Portugués, as I had a few extra days to explore. The group was lovely, with many fellow pilgrims, which made for a nice shared experience. Overall, the tour had some strong highlights. The waterfall was exceptional, and Finisterre itself was a memorable stop. The locations included in the itinerary are clearly beautiful. However, I feel the experience could benefit from some improvements. Our guide, Lucía, did provide useful information at times, but her delivery often felt a bit disengaged and she sounded bored . When approached with questions, she sometimes seemed abrupt and not particularly welcoming. A smile or a more open and enthusiastic tone would make a big difference to the overall experience. In terms of the itinerary, some stops felt either rushed or less impactful. Places like Muros, Ponte Maceira, and Muxía were interesting, but the time allocated (around 20 minutes, including queues for toilets when there was a place to use toilets ) made it difficult to fully appreciate them, so it doesn’t feel fair to properly evaluate those locations. On the other hand, some stops—such as the hórreos—could potentially be shortened or skipped, especially for those who have just completed the Camino and have seen many already. One HUGE missed opportunity was the coastline. The bus passed by some stunning coastal views without stopping, and I believe incorporating a beach or coastal stop would greatly enhance the experience and provide a more balanced itinerary. Having travelled extensively and experienced many guided tours, I feel this one has great potential but would benefit from some rebalancing of stops, slightly more time at key locations, and a more smiles /engaging, approachable guiding style. With a few adjustments, this could easily become an excellent tour.
We booked this tour and ultimately no one showed up there were two addresses and we went to both. Extremely disorganized tour.
The bus is comfortable. Sufficient time is allotted for all the various stops. The guide is knowledgeable about the history of all the places visited and is fully bilingual.
The tour guide (Lucia) and driver (Antonio) were great and super friendly. Lucia knew her stuff and was very informative. Unfortunately I did find the whole excursion rather underwhelming. Nothing of particular interest or significance to see or experience. I def wouldn’t do again. Sorry…
It is a wonderful trip. The stops are all interesting and enjoyable.. It can feel bit rushed, especially if you are not near the bus door as sometimes I would have liked a little more time at each stop except lunch. We first went to the address for pickup then after hitting more details went to the hotel which was listed there, about six minutes away. Thankfully the tour guide called me on whatsapp ( sign up if you haven’t ) and told us wher to go. Her tip was increased for that.
We had a great day out with Noelle and our bus driver Antonio was amazing. The tour ran well to schedule and our guide was super friendly and very informative
Everything was great, Beautifull places Our tour guide Ana very knowledgeable and the bus driver very friendly. I will recommended 100%
It is a wonderful tour blessed by very good weather. A great experience visiting a beautiful coast, falls and beaches.
Noel our tour guide and Vincente, our driver were so knowledgeable and made my journey to the end of the earth memorable. They gave great ideas, great suggestions and not only for the restaurant, but what to order and I was not disappointed. Great time and loved every moment. Great job Noel and Vincente.
The tour was a great way to experience Finisterre. Nury and José were fantastic. Nury provided clear and engaging explanations and took the time to answer all my questions. I highly recommend this tour!
The trip to Finisterre and Muxia with Noelle was a fantastic day!! We had a chance to get off the bus and wander and take in the sights. Noelle was very informative and kept things fun. The restaurant she recommended for lunch was incredible!! Highly recommended!!
Noelle was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and kept the tour rolling on time. The countryside was beautiful with magnificent views.
A visit to Santiago de Compostela would not be complete without a visit to Finisterre. We completed a walk along the Portuguese coastal Camino. The tour to see the western edge of Spain and Finisterre was great. Thoroughly enjoyable and informative.
A must see if you are in the Santiago area. Great way to end your Camino walk. Alexis was fantastic as a tour guide.
Nice day exploring the region. Guide provided historical context, bus waa comfortable and trip flowed nicely.
A well organised day trip. The coach is modern and comfortable and stuck very well to schedule. The guide is knowledgeable and helpful. My only feedback is that the last stop in Muros was not worthwhile. It was such a short time (about 20 minutes) so not enough time to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine or even look around, and the place where we were dropped off was not scenic. We would have been better to just return to Santiago. Other than that, it was a great way to spend a day being driven around, which was a novelty after walking 350 km!
We enjoyed this tour but we thought there would be more to see and do in each town. It was nice seeing the 0 KM spots in Finisterre and Muros since we had just finished the Camino. If you are looking for a way to travel through this towns with short stops in each town, this is for you.
Great tour. Excellent guide and driver. Returned on time. Very happy with the stops and the time spent at each. So special to end our Camino with this day tour. Easier than walking!!
Noelle our guide was very informative. Her English was perfect (with a London accent after living there a spell). Despite the terrible weather she kept cheerful.
I really enjoyed this tour! Sometimes tours will have stops on the itinerary that just seem to be there to fill up the day, but all of the stops on this tour had value and were positive experiences. My favorite stops were the waterfall of Ezaro and the beautiful village Ponte Maceira. Lucia was an amazing tour guide and provided great information on both Spanish and English.
Getting to the end of the earth! Tour guide was great, bus driver was skilled! Ample time spent at each stop.
Our guide Noel was great. We had a nice lunch and were able to see all the things listed on the tour. It poured rain the entire time. Many people stayed on the bus rather than get out in the rain. It was miserable. I would second guess the choice to go in the rain.
The coastline at Cape Finisterre, incredible views and enjoyed the churros at the first stop! Probably would have preferred to skip the last stop and headed straight back to Santiago, half an hour wasn’t really long enough to walk from the meeting point to the town and back, otherwise a great trip.
Unfortunately due to the weather we didn’t get the clear views of the coastline and the lighthouse. But it was still worth the day’s outing just seeing the country and quaint fishing villages. We also had the best seafood lunch at Finisterre. Lucia our guide gave good explanations in Spanish then English. She was friendly and helpful.
Best bet for your money. A full day excursion filled with wonderful sites, comfortable bus, excellent guide (shout out to Noelle), and historical context that was provided in Spanish and English. I would highly recommend.
We visited seven different points of interest. Our tour guide Noelle was very helpful in explaining the history of each location. The stops gave us enough time to take pictures and explore on our own. Would definitely recommend to others.
Trip to Muxía and Faro de Finisterre with lunch at Finisterre and visits to waterfalls and small beautiful river town. Efficient tour but guides narration was a little difficult to understand. Overall great tour!
Our experience was very good. Our tour leader was very friendly and informative, with good English. Our driver was very good and we felt very safe. Highly recommend
It was raining.😁😔 I wish mother nature cooperated with our day trip. I enjoyed my lunch. I like the church we visited.
Very enjoyable but perhaps an hour too long. We got last minute at a 50% discount which made it all the better. Guide commentary was in both Spanish and English.
Well, organized, great driver and tour guide. Saw all the highlights on the northern coast of Spain, got some really good photos.
Our guide Lucia was excellent. She shared interesting information on the areas we were seeing. Lucia thoroughly answered our questions and was very helpful! She also told us about some places in Santiago for special souvenirs. Very beautiful countryside and historical sites. Well worth the trip.
Guide was absolutely amazing. Had excellent English and Spanish. She made the trip very interesting with amazing facts and interesting stories. We knew where we were at all times and instructions for stops were clear and concise. Made excellent recommendations for lunch etc. Coach and driver were equally good. Highly recommend this trip
Very informative and interesting tour. After finishing the Camino it was a great to be able to relax and enjoy been brought to see these beautiful places.
Great bus tour, very good guides who adapted with unforeseen stuff. Made accommodations for bathroom stops Comfortable bus
Guide was very good and attraction worth seeing but a poor bus pick up which resulted in us being behind schedule
Great well-rounded tour! Lucky to get a promo for a discount and it was a fantastic value. Guide was professional & knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
A great trip for hitting the highlights at the coast. Lucia was fantastic and the tour itself was well organized and efficient. Spectacular views!
This is a wonderful tour enabling you to see the wonderful sights of Galicia. Ezaro is spectacular and the views from the lighthouse are stunning. Lucia's knowledge is amazing. We had so much detail and she translated in two languages with such ease. Her English is of a very high standard. She was so very kind to us. My husband has dementia and she personally helped us with all our needs and went above and beyond. She was a true angel and we will always be thankful for her help . Thank you Lucia from the bottom of our hearts
Marveling Finisterre and Muxia! The time spent was enough and Lucia was kind to help us with photos.
What a day! Well worth the money for the scenery alone - beautiful coastline, towns & villages. Noelle was our guide for the day, she was very informative & great fun. Would highly recommend Santiago Excursiones, very comfortable way to travel…& thank you Noelle, you were great! 😊
Excellent use of time to experience a wide variety of scenic and cultural areas. Tour guides were knowledgeable and provided excellent commentary in two languages. Good value.
Great tour! Noelle our tour guide was friendly, organized, and she answered all our questions! We would have missed so much history did lot for this tour!
Noelle was fun and informative. It was a wonderful end to our camino Frances. The day was so beautiful the sights were great. I am glad we did the longer excursion.
Each stop was delightful. It was a magical day! The bus was comfortable and stops were well-timed. Highly recommend!
The format of the tour was great. We saw all the sights in tour bus comfort. The scenery was dramatic and amenities were as advertised. Our tour guide Ana was pleasant. The reason I’m giving a 3 star rating is because Ana’s English was mostly unintelligible. She needs to take a class in English pro-nun-ci-a-tion.
