These sorts of tours are significantly impacted by the quality of the guide. Ours was superb, probably the best we have had for many years. Carolina is a local to Santiago, she has studied, worked and lived in the City, she know’s it inside out. Her professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge of the City and Cathedral was outstanding. Thank you Carolina for an exceptional tour!

Excellent. Superb, knowledgeable guide very good at passing on the historical facts. VEry thorough tour of old Santiago, the museaum and the Cathedral
It was great experience I would suggest that to put a label on the umbrella the company VIATOR to be easilly identified since there were couple of company in that meeting place.
Patricia was a knowledgeable & very pleasant guide. We toured the cathedral, museum and portico. Worth every penny!
High level of relevant historical and spiritual knowledge with a passion that values the pilgrimage journey to connect with the Christian tradition.
It was informative and worth the money. Mireia was a great tour guide. She was very engaging. We were well prepared to see the Portico. It is worth the time and money.
Our guide was Carolina and she was great. Carolina is very knowledgeable and kept everyone’s attention with interesting facts and fun stories.
Both Fatima in the first half of the tour (central area walking tour) and Damian in the second half (museum, cathedral and puerta de gloria) were outstanding. They were friendly, charismatic and expressed their knowledge casually, in simple understandable terms!
Highly informative without ancillary info dragging the presentation forward. Excellent, concise presentation fit appropriately in the time frame
Maria is an excellent guide and the full tour with clear explanations was extremely informative which I deeply appreciated. The tour made everything about Santiago de Compostela, the Cathedral, and my Camino walk a lot more meaningful for me. Thank you.
Guide is very personable, lots of knowledge, and entertaining. Great overview of the Cathedral and its surroundings.
The online description isn’t clear how much time you are spending in the old city. I was pleasantly surprised.
It was a wonderful tour that exceeded expectations. She is not only the very knowledgeable guide, but also he presents facts in an interesting way. You can feel that he loves Santiago and loves what she is doing. Her English is excellent and we highly recommend this tour. Thank you Carolina.
Booked this for my 16 year old from the US. The guide was very good. The length was perfect. Highly recommend.
Very informative and was helpful to get acquainted with the old town. Our guide Maria had good recommendations too.
This for the very mediocre tour. Maybe the issue is getting good English translators… I don’t know because most tourist have rated Spanish guides very well. Our guide did not give any meaningful history or perspective. Everything was very superficial…
María, our guide, was fantastic! She gave us lots of information about the area surrounding the cathedral, and our tour inside the cathedral was fabulous. Highly recommended!
Veronica was an amazing guide tour and strongly recommended to my family and friends. The 360 tour is very complete and we will keep it in our hearts forever
Our tour guide was Maria and she was fantastic! She explained so much about the city, the Portico, the museum, and the cathedral. Had a great sense of humor too. Highly recommend this tour and this guide!!
The guide was great. She was engaging and clear. She was well versed in the city’s history and answered questions easily. The visit to the Portico and various parts of the cathedral were great as well. The only disappointment was the city tour portion. I thought an hour to explore the city would mean more than just looking at the cathedral from different angles and squares around it. We didn’t really see much else of the city.
Fabulous and informative. Maralea(even she said her name is hard to pronounce😆) was amazing with a deep understanding of the history of Santiago and the cathedral. This tour was well worth the money to get an explanation of all the important sites in the city.
Great introduction to the heart of Santiago de Compostela! Sylvia has excellent communicati on skills and knowledge. Her passion rubs off! Keep up the good work Sylvia! Christo Swart (RSA)
This is the most moving experience a person of any religious beleieve will have in their lifetime. Other than it was a rainy and very cold day, the pilgrimage to this place was extraordinary and worthwhile. The city has made a concerted effort of keeping this gem intact. Highly Recommended!
Santiago is a must visit place regardless of your beliefs. The fact that efforts have we made to keep this place intact adds to its uniqueness. You will be amazed, transformed and forever thankful you made the pilgrimage. Highly recommended!
We took the train from Vigo to Santiago and met the Orange Umbrella at the Plaza. Super EASY.. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very easy to understand. I am a history buff wannabee and she knew her subject. It was a freezing humid day with temperatures ranging in the low 30's and still we will do it again. Highly recommended.
A wonderful tour of the old town and the cathedral. Maria was very informative, pleasant, and answered all our questions. It’s the best way to really appreciate the history and meaning of Santiago De Compostela. Absolutely reccomend this. The tour was broken into three pieces with about 20 minutes between. Great if you need to sit, go to bathroom, or grab a quick coffee. Very easy pace.
The tour was very complete - walking in Old Town, Portico, museum and Cathedral. It was quite tiring but very informative and interesting.
A really good tour, felt like we got a good history overview of Santiago's old town, Maria was a wonderful guide and we were able to see all the highlights with really great background I don't think we would have otherwise known. Not too much walking or stairs either, very relaxed pace without being slow paced.
The guide Maria was very experienced and engaging. She did not rush us and was open to all our questions. Maria’s capacity to guide in English was superb. Thoroughly recommend all three components of this tour.
Very knowledgeable guide. Very well organised. We saw the main sites and were told lots of history. An excellent 4 hours
The tour was conducted professionally by Maria. She was interesting and informative. In addition she was interested in her clients and tried to answer all their questions. The full half day tour lasted just over 4 hours and required a little stamina to keep attentive and mobile but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The access it enabled to the museum and the places we were taken and shown made it worthwhile and value for money.
Perfect, but this is turning out to be a bit tedious for me, the survey is too long.
Exceptional both the tour and the guides, especially Irene.
We were lucky enough to be guided by a couple of great guides, Damian and Irene, both made the tour very enjoyable. I will definitely look for them when I return and of course I recommend the company Viator. All out of ten
Very nice visit with guide Patricia
I went with my English family and we did the full tour in English. Maria was great! She had enormous knowledge, the data she told was very interesting and also she was funny and charming with the whole group. We couldn't have been luckier. Fully recommended if you are going to spend a few days in the area.
Excellent historical approach when visiting the main squares of Santiago de Compostela. A visit to the museum and the cathedral but especially the Portico of Glory are a must. María is a perfect guide.
Everything perfect, it was a very pleasant morning thanks to our guide Veronica. The stories and explanations led us to understand the entire fabric that existed before during and after in the history of the saint both personal and historical, as well as the construction of the cathedral in its 4 phases. Pleasure and recommend to our hostess VERONICA. Greetings.
Great visit to the cathedral and the portico of glory made with Veronica who is an excellent professional. He gave us very technical and appropriate explanations. 100% recommend the visit with optimus prime and Veronica
The guide was incredibly nice, taught us a lot, very competent nice educated and with a lot of knowledge.
It has been great, our Guide Maria the girl of ten is seen to be studied and tells everything knowing what she says, we have been delighted with this excursion because our Guide has made it so. ..it has been done until short, recommended to a hundred x hundred. Reme and Andres
María's attention and explanations were spectacular. Prepared, always aware of everything and super professional, a 10, the time flew by, a sign of how comfortable the whole family was.
It was an incredible experience! Maria is an excellent guide and enriched our walk with a lot of content, so we almost didn't notice the time that had passed. We recommend everyone who is in Santiago!
Toda la experiencia fue excelente Y la guía, María, fabulosa La Catedral con su Pórtico de la Gloria y todos los alrededores del Casco Histórico, totalmente recomendado
Very well explained and interesting in general. The monuments and squares were accompanied by excellent and well-trained guides.
The guide explained a bit quickly, the explanations were a bit lacking in historical content and the occasional anecdote. Overall a somewhat bland visit.
Maria a lovely guide, very complete and pleasant tour, historic center, Cathedral and Museum and Portico of glory
