We visit this important town so closely related to the Camino de Santiago (Portuguese Way) and to the history of the arrival of the Apostle Santiago in Galicia. Here we will visit the church of Santiago with the guide, where the "pedrón" is located, and we will have time to walk through the Alameda and have a coffee.
We visited this wonderful example of popular architecture. We will walk through its granite alleys between granaries and stone crosses. There is an option to try mussels from Combarro
Optional - Mussel Boat In the Marina of Combarro we take the boat in which we will cross the Pontevedra estuary; seeing the mussel farms, the towns of Combarro and Marín from the sea and the island of Tambo. On board we will have a tasting of mussels and local wine.
The island of A Toxa was the first holiday resort in Europe back in the late nineteenth century, also because of the soaps that were made on the island. On the island we will see the historic "Gran Hotel LaToja", the old soap factory and the curious "Capilla de las Conchas" (completely covered with scallop shells.
Once in Cambados we see the main square of the town with its impressive Pazo (Fefiñáns). In this town they will have free time to taste local products in one of the many restaurants.
We reach the island by crossing one of the longest bridges over the sea in Europe. Once there you can choose between taking a walk through the natural park with our guide, having a drink sitting by the sea or taking a dip in one of the fantastic beaches on the island!

There were too many stops on the tour with too little time in places. The mussel tour was excellent though the commentary should have also been in English. The last stop in particular was too short.
Our guide, Andrea, and Manolo, the driver were great and the itinerary was just right.
Our tour guide, Daniel, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, he did not accompany us on the boat portion of the tour. All of the information that was given on the boat tour was given in Spanish, so those of us who spoke no Spanish did not get any of the information that was given to the tour participants who did speak Spanish. That was the only disappointment of the tour.
Wonderful, well rounded day. Tour was in Spanish, but Pedro, the wonderful guide, did a great job including the 3 English speakers.
I had a great time on this trip. The guide, driver and crew on the boat trip were just amazing. They even gave us a free additional bottle of wine for the road.

Mussel boat was the best part of the trip with unlimited mussels and drinks. The beautiful islands of La Toxa and Arousa, esp the scallop shell-covered chapel was worth seeing. Tour guide Pablo was informative and very nice. Though it made for a very long day, it was worth it to see so many sights we wouldn't have been able to do on our own.
The mussel boat trip was very good. Arouza island and the pine trees along the beach were beautiful. The Guide was very helpful and friendly but the recordings were difficult to hear because of the volume of the guides spanish description.

We really enjoyed this tour. First and foremost, our guide Navarra was fantastic!!! We started with a nice ride out of the city into the beautiful countryside. The little towns we toured were very nice and the boat ride with food/drink was very well done. A perfect way to spend the day.
Bravo Toxo travel. From the booking process in their town centre office to the organisation and punctuality of the tour beginning to end, we had a wonderful day. Our guide, Pablo was excellent, and seeming to enjoy the whole day ensured that we did too. We were a minority English group - most guests were Spanish - but Pablo and Andrea ensured that we were given the information in English, especially if we had any doubts:-) I would happily revisit all the stops on our tour and will not hesitate to book with them again. Normally it’s the cultural aspects and views that get our attention on such tours. Trust me, they did but the mussels were out for f this world. Our guide was awesome as well! Even though we were the only English speaking attendees, she made it a point not to leave us out.
This was a great trip to a beautiful part of Galicia. Nogaria was an excellent friendly guide with almost perfect English. We learned a lot about the history and culture of the area and had fun on the wine and mussel cruise. Lunch at O pairoa in Combarro was good.
We booked the tour in the Rías Baixas, the explanations were correct, however, at one of the stops the guide left back without us, when we went to the meeting point the bus had already left. We arrived only 3 min late, and there was no one at the meeting point and nearby area, therefore we felt lost. In the end, we had to call the agency so the bus would come back to pick us up. We believe that a little flexibility is what adds value to an experience like this. In his favor, we have to say that he apologized to us and took photos of us during the trip.

A fantastic bus tour and one of the highlights of the trip. Everything worked very well and the setup was both nice and well organized. The best part was the mussel boat, where we got to eat lots of good mussels and drink cold, good wine in a lovely environment. It certainly made the experience extra memorable. A very successful excursion that we can highly recommend.
I loved the tour, the landscapes are beautiful despite the rain in the morning. Even so, I enjoyed it a lot, ahh, and the mussels were delicious!!! I would repeat the tour 20 times just to eat those mussels.

A PERFECT excursion, in every sense: very professional guide (thanks!) and very nice treatment. Interesting the places we toured, what I knew (I didn't know what a pazo looked like) and the boat with mussels and white wine, super, quality. Cross the Arousa Bridge and watch the sunset on the island very exciting. Every time I go to Galicia I will make this excursion and others that Toxo Travel offers.
Nice interesting mussel boat tour from Cambarro. For 20 euros per person you will sail for 1.5 hours and make a round around the small island and stop at the mussel banks. At the mussel beds, one of the sailors shows how the mussel beds are used and what it looks like, as well as the oysters and other shellfish. Very nice, however, all in Spanish. Too bad English is not spoken this makes the instructive part a lot more difficult. On board you get good portion of mussels, wine and soda. This is part of the price. All in all nice experience.
We did the excursion of the Rias Baixas.I loved everything, the Nagore Guide, very friendly and attentive. The bus well, comfortable. We had a great day. We will repeat the next time we come to Santiago. Thank you so much!

It was a very complete day and well spent. Combarro is a beautiful town and we loved it. We really enjoyed our time on the boat, tasting the mussels... and that Albariño was delicious! A pleasure on the boat. I highly recommend it. Nagore, our guide, a pleasant person and brilliant at his job. I learned many things... I also returned to the island of La Toja, where I had not been since my childhood. Highly recommended, but take it easy... You don't have to see everything... Enjoy...
