We had a wonderful tour of the old city, museum, and cathedral with Miri. She was friendly, humorous and so knowledgeable. She made the complex history of Santiago de Compostela human and accessible. Three hours flew by. I could not recommend more highly

very reasonable price, well worth your time. After walking for five weeks on the Camino Frances, I was enchanted with the history of Santiago de Compostela, thanks to Irene, our guide.
Jorge was a brilliant guide, he really made the tour for me. He was so passionate and he was very knowledgable. He welcomed everyone with a smile and was very friendly! His English was also incredible. Your team are very lucky to have him as a guide.
Irene is part tour guide, part comedienne, and 100% Galician. She made the tour great!! We even got to hug St. James. A nice end to our camino.
It was a wonderful walking tour of the historic City and cathedral meseum. The explanation of the area is amazing. It is truly worth your time.
Go to the bathroom before the tour starts. It was a great little hike around the city, highlighting the different areas.
Carolyn was the best tour guide in Spain.
Jorge is the most knowledgeable, detailed and fun tour guide we’ve ever had. His expertise about the city, the history, art and all Santiago has to offer is evident. Wish he could be our tour guide for other cities we’ll visit on this trip.
A fun and thorough tour through the cathedral and the Old Town of Santiago campostella... The guide Mary / Merie was excellent. Thanks again
A great tour with a highly knowledgeable tour guide Carol. She had great expertise and was highly qualified with very good communication skills.
Carolina was very informative and has a great personality. She engages with her audience and made it fun.
A really, really good tour with Miriella (I hope I spelled that right). She provided all with one earbud so we could hear what she was saying. A very comprehensive and interesting tour of a wonderful place. She provided some shopping and eating tips when asked and they were great. I can’t say enough good things about our experience here.
Caroline was a great guide; very knowledgeable, easy to understand and had a joyful sense of humor as well.
I took the 3.5 hour tour. Mireya was great! Funny, lots of energy, you could tell she really loves the history of Santiago. Very happy with the experience, I learned a lot!
Excellent overview of center of Santiago de Compostela and the museum and Cathedral.; very well informed guides.
Great information and historical context but expect to walk and stand for several hours. Overall, a wonderful experience! The tour guide was excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Carolina was very knowledgeable and engaging. Found out lots of information I wouldn’t have picked up if I had just wandered on my own!
Wealth of information and historical context told colorfully with brilliant storytelling. Prepare to be enlightened and amazed.
Carolina was a wonderful guide. Her passion for the history and culture of Santiago de Compostella and Galicia was very energising. Lots of great side stories & bits of historical gossip to go along with the historical information- lovely experience & some great tips about where to eat 😀
The tour was very complete, organized, and engaging. It was informative and you left feeling like you had a full understanding of Santiago de Compostela.
Carolina was an excellent tour guide! Highly recommend!
Mire led a about 20 tourists on a thorough, informative, and comprehensive tour of the major religious and municipal sites in the old city of Santiago. She was filled with facts, figures and information. It was a great tour for those of us who like details, punctuated by interesting stories of the background of places and events.
The guide was very knowledgeable and quite funny. Enjoyed the tour very much! Although she did walk a bit fast which was tricky for my husband who has mobility problems.
The guide for the first half of the tour spoke English very well and was very engaging. We had a short break before she handed us off to the second guide. I wish we would have been told not to order food because how much time it would take. The second guide was ok, sometimes difficult to understand his English.
pass the line using a different entrance. great experience inside.
Plenty of walking and excellent descriptions of the history of this beautiful city.our tour guide was first class
very informative tour. the guide gave us many recommendations/ information about the city 10/10 recommend
Our guide, Carolina is such a delight and very knowledgeable about the cathedral and Santiago’s history.
Great way to know Santiago de Compostela! Efren was very friendly, he explained the history of the buildings and statues . We went to the market , and passed monasteries and historic Churches . My favorite was Santa Maria Salome , which was the mother of Santiago!
Moderate amount of walking. Our guide Virginia was good. Spoke English well. Gave us a reasonable amount of information without overwhelming us. Told some good stories. Very personable.
A must do to learn more about the town and its history. the group is small and the tour guide was knowledgeable.
This was a highly enjoyable and informative 2 part tour with 2 different tour guides focusing on different aspects of Santiago. The first tour provided an excellent overview of the historical and cultural significance of this UNESCO world heritage site. The second part of my tour with a different guide provided a detailed and fascinating exploration of the Santiago de Compostela Archcathedral Basilica and the significance of St. James the Great to this world renowned city. Both guides provided excellent descriptions on the concept of the Way of St. James which is a leading Catholic pilgrimage route since the 9th century. The guides spoke fluent English and were both highly knowledgeable about the historical, cultural and religious significance not only of Santiago but also Galicia. The entire tour lasted about 4 hours and is one that I would highly recommend to those seeking to learn about and fully appreciate this unique part of Spain.
Look for the blue umbrella in the square when you have tour booked. Great historic knowledge of guide.
Our tour guide was overlapping groups and the original group (us) would have to hear everything again for 45 minutes with the second group. It felt like 2 hours having to listen again what we heard.
Great tour. Fatima was thorough and made the tour very pleasant. She also gave us several eating recommendations.
We had a fantastic tour, over 3 hours, and the guide Camilla never stopped talking. It was informative and entertaining. Highly recomended.
The guide, Carolina, was so knowledgeable, engaging with humor and questions to the group. An incredible way to truly understand Santiago’s history and the Cathedral.
We truly appreciated the knowledge and communication skills of our guide, Maria. She shared the interesting history of the cathedral, items in the museum, the buildings surrounding the cathedral and iconic streets and parks of the old town.
Patricia was outstanding in explaining the history, culture and architecture of the cathedral & Galicia.
A wonderful tour with Jorge - a brilliant and entertaining guide. We thoroughly enjoyed it and his knowledge of the history of Santiago was amazing. Thoroughly recommend this tour.
Good overview of town, cathedral & museum. Split into 2 tours led by 2 different guides. Somewhat confusing as we had prepaid and there were some that it seemed were going to pay what they thought tour was worth. It was reasonably priced and worth it.
Great way to orient to the city and learn more deeply about its history and things to do on our own. Our guide Jorge was excellent and we appreciated his clarity and recommendations.
The the tour were great, the old city, the catedral and the museum We learned a lot, the catedral is impressive in architecture and in history Both guides Virginia and Efren were very knowledgeable and eager to guide and educate us
Ticiano was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and fluent in so many languages. We really learned a lot.
Highly recommend the tour, very knowledgeable guides museum and inside the cathedral was a pleasant surprise
Good overview to get acquainted with the city and cathedral . Good prep to read further and explore. Worth the time and money.
We did this tour after finishing the Camino and it was a great end to our journey. We had two guides for the different parts of the tour, and both were outstanding. They really helped us to understand more of the history and symbolism in the city and inside the cathedral. Well worth the money!
Excellent guide! So energetic, funny and knowledgeable. She even gave us tips to “catch” a Botafumerio. Thank you Irene!
Carolina was our guide for the museum and Cathedral. She was incredible! Her knowledge was deep, and with her humor and warmth, we had an interactive experience where we enjoyed every moment of learning. As a cultural interpretation guide, she is the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this tour especially if Carolina is your guide!
We had two tours. The best was with Carolina. We went to the cathedral museum and cathedral. She was knowledgeable and made it fun and interesting. Very engaging!
