The trip was what was expected. The launch a little difficult to get in and out of but the crew helped a lot. Lunch was great, the beach spots good. Nothing rushed. Water a little choppy which gave us a rough ride

Itinerary
Discover Tayrona from the sea in a group of maximum 10 people, with an expert local apnea crew that knows where the marine life is. We meet at 9:30 am at the International Marina of Santa Marta and set sail at 10:00 am in our boat, La Tranquila. Stop 1 - El Remanso: 10 minutes of sailing, with about 40 minutes of snorkeling. Stop 2 - Granate: one of the best snorkeling spots in the park, where it is frequent to see sea turtles and reef fish. Stop 3 - Bahía Concha: the widest bay of Tayrona. Here we have lunch and spend the afternoon: swimming, walking, more snorkeling, or sunbathing. Go to the beach with a towel, sunscreen, and effective. We return to the marina around 4:30 pm. Marine life is wild and cannot be guaranteed, but these reefs are among the richest in the area. Boat without shade and sometimes choppy journey: bring water-resistant sunscreen, a hat, and a change of clothes. We request the name and document number of each traveler for entry to the marina, the insurance, and the departure. There is no need to bring the physical document. Tayrona Park Closure: from October 19 to November 2 the tour is done to local beaches.

I wrote this private message to the tour operator which he didn’t respond to: Hi Luis, We were very dissatisfied with the trip. In the original trip we were going to get 2 stops for snorkeling but instead we were taken 100 yards off shore for a 10 minute snorkel which was time restrained since we went out at 3:15 & had to be back to get on the boat at 3:30. We received our lunch wt 2 pm which was a whole hour after the first set of people got their lunch. We were told we couldn’t snorkle before lunch so we had to sit around and wait. The captain only shared information with people who were in the cabin area near him, the rest of us couldn’t hear him. Overall it was a very disorganized and inefficient trip. Humaira
We had a great day but booked it with an English guide according to the listing and there was no English spoken. It caused a bit of confusion. The boat was great, lunch was delicious and the beaches were beautiful. They’re not kidding about it not being appropriate for people with bad backs - the boat ride was rough! Mother Nature not the tour company’s fault! They did a good job herding the cats back to the boat to keep us on time. The snacks and water were appreciated throughout the day. At the lunch stop, it was a bit confusing- no one (including the Spanish speakers) realized we were there for 2 hours so didn’t take our towels, sunscreen or cash with us. We were able to get a boat ride to our moored boat to grab the stuff but clear communication would have helped all. Us northerners can’t be without sunscreen that long!! Snorkeling was fun- not great but still nice. Snorkeling was at the lunch beach. Would recommend! But be prepared to not understand anything- thank god for Google Translate.
Excellent day with Luis and his crew. I was travelling solo and the only person who didn’t speak Spanish, but Luis always ensured I had the information and helped translate whenever needed. Nice way to see parts of Tayrona in 1 day. The water was incredibly warm and pleasant, chill swimming in each stop. We had a delicious lunch and small snacks on board, cold beer available for purchase.
Friendly guides! They took us to good spots and avoided the large crowds, pointed out different beaches and towns along the way- great experience!
Great boat tour! Very exciting out in the ocean. Highly experienced captain. Friendly and helpful staff. The only thing I was disappointed in was the "snorkelling", If you're looking for a snorkelling trip, this is not it. There was only one small opportunity, and they only give you a mask, no snorkel or fins. But the locations were nice and lunch was good, too!
Stopped at two places to snorkel and despite recent rains, we were able to see quite a few different fish. We spent 3 hours on the beach at Tayrona - bring towels to sit on or you can rent chairs.
The staff and overall experience were really nice. Maybe there should be more diverse snorkeling locations.
The spectacular scenery of the mountains that dotted the coastline. The beaches were amazing and inviting. The Captain and hus mate were capable and ensured a safe trip to our destinations.
Great experience. A full day of snorkelling in 3 spots. The lunch was excellent and the beach is beautiful. Just bring sun protection as there’s no shade on the boat. Having a small group is ideal too!
Such an amazing trip! Very well organized, boat was clean and in great condition, beautiful views and beach! Cuñao was a wonderful host, made us feel right at home, spoiled my little girl with extra snacks and was very attentive. Lunch was very good, made a special meal for our girl. We used the paddle boat several times, rented some chairs in the beach and enjoyed the clear waters. Wonderful overall!
Highly recommended . My partner and I had great time . Strongly suggest to get a strong sunscreen waterproof especially if you're white skin like me I got burn even though I had sunscreen but not waterproof
My husband and I had a fantastic time. Captain Luis and his deck hand, Oscar were professional, friendly and very helpful to those that were less experienced in our group. They went out of their way to take us to spots where we could see the most while snorkeling. Would definitely recommend the fried fish lunch as it was delicious. Take lots of sunscreen if you're prone to burning and a change of clothes as the water does get a bit choppy and you'll get wet while on the boat. Captain Luis and Oscar handled the boat very well and we felt safe at all times. Snorkel gear is provided and they also have soap on board to clean the gear if needed. We learned from others that booked a different tour that they had to rent gear at an additional cost. This tour is a great value for all that is included.
The roads to get to this park are completely busted, we chose to go there by sea.At this activity two dive stops were on the program and it is certainly not the most beautiful sites for this activity. Once at the large beach of concha, the site although paradisiacal turns into a nightmare with big boats that put the sound of their music very loud and all different... What a disappointment. I would like to acknowledge the kindness of our crew, Christian and Michael who are really kind and very attentive. This visit was on Sunday, March 2, the national holiday of the Barranquilla carnival that takes place in all coastal cities, was that the reason for these overflows? In such a place with great potential, it is the noise of birds and the sea that we wished to hear...
