Depart from Santa Marta at 8:00 a.m. with a private bilingual guide and drive to the town of Calabazo (130 M.S.N.M). Begin a 1.5-hour trek through tropical forest to reach the Tayku Indigenous Community of the Kogui people. Explore their village of about 15 huts and the ceremonial house with a local Kogui guide. Meet the MAMO, the community’s highest authority, for a cultural exchange to learn about their traditions. The tour includes lunch at Los Cocos Beach. Duration: approximately 7 hours.
