Great stay at this hotel. The staff were all lovely, patient and helpful. Very kind people. We enjoyed the variety of choices for breakfast and its great location on the beach. The room was very comfortable too with a nice balcony with seaview. Highly recommend to stay there when visiting Santa Marta!
The pricing strategy for this hotel is close to a scam. Cheap night deals make you go for then being charged up to 5 usd for a simple tea (hot water plus a 10c bag). Service is average, but far from what you expect from a Marriot. Beach is closed at 6pm, right before the sunset. Pool is closed shortly after. Not a place for night activities. Breakfast buffet is average. No seafood options and meat options are cheap cuts. Omelet is good. Overall, would not recomend. There are way better alternatives around.
The service is the best we've experienced in Colombia. Not saying too much considering the service in Colombia is non-existent and horrible 99.9%. But, at least these guys know how to provide good service! The rooms are very beautiful. We will be back. Thanks so much for everything!
From the moment I walked in and Angely greeted me with such a warm smile, I felt like I was in the right place. That feeling stayed with me throughout my entire trip. Jorge at Cayeye gave me great food recommendations and everything I tried was delicious and satisfying. I also want to mention Emmanuel, who was always present at the beach and the front gate, making sure everything felt safe and comfortable. That peace of mind meant a lot. The whole experience was wonderful. The pool was amazing, the food was consistently excellent, and the beach was beautiful. I truly appreciated the warm welcome and genuine care from the staff. This hotel is simply wonderful, right on the beach. The infrastructure is excellent, with a gym, restaurants, rooms, pool, and direct beach access. Location-wise, it’s beachfront and conveniently close to the airport, which isn’t an issue since it’s a small one. The restaurants are great: the breakfast buffet is very varied, and the staff is attentive and warm. On weekends (if we remember correctly) there are Colombian fried specialties on the restaurant terrace. We also had the chance to enjoy a culinary experience organized by the hotel, a gastronomic tour of Colombia, that was simply unforgettable. We’re not sure if the hotel fully promotes this yet, but they definitely should if they haven’t. Customer experience is where this hotel truly shines. We had a few small issues at the start of our stay, which we raised with Tomas, Lilian, and their team. They responded in a genuinely professional, kind, and empathetic way, taking care of us throughout our stay like we hadn’t experienced at any other hotel of this caliber. We really can’t thank the entire team enough for their outstanding service and warmth at every moment. We can’t wait to come back.
