Fantastic hotel with a beach and surf theme that fits Durban really nicely. Exceptionally friendly staff, from the security all the way through to front of house. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, the only complaint being poor shower pressure.
Recently stayed at the Protea Hotel Fire and Ice. The breakfast was excellent and offered a range of options for every pallette. The overall ambience of the facility was great. The service, absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly, polite and engaged. Only drawback was the bed was not as comfortable as other hotels in the area.
This hotel is perfect!! You will not regret your stay there. EACH AND EVERY STAFF MEMBER IS INCREDIBLE!! The food will BLOW you away. I'm so happy I was booked there.
Great location, withing walking distance to many amenities including the mall. I asked for an early check in and it was granted, I was so impressed with the reception staff and porter service. They were very professional. Opted for the 2 bedroom apartment. Only down side I say was that the guest room didn't have an aircon, they vent and button that they mention you must switch on to receive cold air from the main bedroom doesn't do anything. Room size and amenities are great.
This Hotel is next level. It is my second stay here, and I thought it good to share my views I have never received this level of excellent service in my life, genuine friendly, helpful employees. I’m in the service industry and generally a quietly critical customer. They have room fragrances, basement smells like old 80’s tanning oil (take me to the beach), the dining room smells like lemons, vanilla and my grandmothers kitchen. The decor is modern and elegant, surfboards, Boats and beach vibes woven in every area. I don’t want to go home! Keep up the excellent work!
