Room Mate Gorka

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Room Mate Gorka in August - the rooms were comfortable and modern and the service was impeccable. They helped us book airport transfers and gave us tons of excellent restaurant recommendations to help us make the most of our time there. Special shout out to Ana - she was incredibly warm, friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond to make us feel like we had a friend we could rely on during our stay! We would happily book any hotel Ana is in! The hotel's location really can't be beat - walk *north and you're in the midst of all the Old Town pintxos bars and Mount Urgull; *west: beautiful La Concha beach; *east: the trendy neighborhood of Gros; and *south: shopping galore! And despite the very central location, it all felt peaceful and chill - every morning, we enjoyed a nice cup of coffee from Syra next door to the hotel and appreciated the beautiful view of the park across the street. The whole area is very kid-friendly, and we were able to call a taxi or take the bus easily anytime. We loved San Sebastián and will plan on staying at Room Mate Gorka again!

Had one of the best hotel experiences ever here last week. Location, staff, service and design all set a high bar for other hotels in this class. My partner and I stayed for 4 nights in an executive room on the 4th floor with beautiful views of the park. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good quality clothes steamer, Dyson hairdryer and a speaker system you could connect to over Bluetooth. The variety of pillows was an unexpected joy for someone with upper back issues and the amount of counter space was excellent. The staff at reception were particularly excellent - super friendly and warm 24 hours a day. They and the cleaning staff were quick and helpful when they found one of our passports left in the room after check out - very grateful for that. Breakfast was great as buffets go with the option of freshly cooked eggs until midday, again with very friendly staff. The small gym was perfect for helping keep some rehab going and the refillable glass water bottles very welcome too. If you are travelling with friends vs partners, they may have a little issue with the semi-open toilet and shower but it works well having the components separated for some.

Absolutely fantastic hotel from start to finish. Check in and check out experience and interaction with front desk staff was very pleasant. Room itself was a spacious two floor layout which was very nice. Even better was the location. Walk out the door and turn any direction and you're a few minutes to a fun destination for eating, drinking, or enjoying the beach.

We just spent four nights at the lovely Room Mate Collection Gorka in San Sebastián. Great location, comfortable room with great amenity and a lovely view. Very quiet because of the double glazed doors onto balcony, but so good to be able to open them and enjoy the bustle when you want. And, of course, a great, friendly and helpful team. Would highly recommend.
