Two star hotel at best. Did not get the room we were promised. Instead got a non operable window room (executive). We had 10 plus people about 5ft outside our window until 5 am partying and playing music. The hotel refused to move our room and told us it’s not their fault. The police didn’t do anything and hotel refused to do anything. Terrible customer service, especially for the price.

Absolutely loved my stay at One Shot Tabakalera House. The staff were cool, friendly and genuinely welcoming, and the location couldn’t be better if you’re into art, design and culture. The hotel itself has a brilliant atmosphere — huge high ceilings, minimalist interiors and a slightly brutalist feel that made it feel more like staying in a beautifully designed apartment than a conventional hotel. Stylish without trying too hard, relaxed, and full of character. I loved it and would happily stay again.
We stayed in the hotel for four nights, and here's what people should be aware of The good - Location - nice stroll, 15 min to the old town, and one minute from the bus station - Rooms are done to ok standard, and windows can be opened - Breakfast options around are good; we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel given that it was pricey and reviews were bad - Helpful reception staff, and everyone is friendly and approachable The not-so-good - It’s noisy, not what you would expect from something out of the way - Corridor carpets are awfully stained; corridors are decorated nicely but do feel dirty - One complimentary bottle of water would be nice; instead, the fridge is full of drinks that are payable - Rooms are small; you need to unpack your suitcase as soon as you arrive, and there is not much storage - The TV only has a few Spanish-speaking channels, and that’s it. It would be nice to have an English-speaking channel for morning TV - During the day, a lot of men hang around outside doing nothing, like grown men just chain-smoking and staring at their phones or lying on the benches. Apparently, these are the refugees who are working with Tabakalera Art House on some integration project, but it doesn’t feel safe, although no one approached us, and they are gone when you’re back at night Overall, a good modern hotel, but for the price, I don’t think we will be coming back here
Great location, room and staff - highly recommended Location is great - easily accessible from bus station and old town via the subway. Bus station and bridge is just a few mins away. Old town is about 15 to 20 mins, so it's a great alternative to the more expensive hotels there. It's not cheap but very good value for San Sebastian in Aug. Room was great with a mezzanine floor above the bed. Bed, shower and AC is very comfortable. Staff are friendly. Room is quiet. Hotel is connected to the Arts centre which is worth a visit. Overall, highly recommended. Great small grocery shop nearby just across the road. WiFi coverage and performance could be much better. Arts Centre cafe not open yet so you need to walk about 5 mins to the nearest bakery / cafe. Booking process with separate emails and confirmation directly with hotel not via this site was a bit confusing at first. Description of room (105) could be better as I got an upgrade offer for an ensuite bathroom even though the room had an ensuite bathroom.
The minuses: 1) Very expensive at €200/night for something outside old town. 2) The service and amenities and attention to detail and overall welcome feel could have been better (they don't give free bottles of water each day, and supposedly they have 2 welcome packs of water but ours were missing! We had to go back to reception to get them...) 3) Parking is expensive (€80 for 3 overnights). The pluses: 1) It's conveniently located; it's right next to the train station, and the pedestrian tunnel and bridge to the Old Town is just next door and you're a pretty short walk away from practicallt everything. 2) Our room was modern and somewhat spacious, and the bathroom was nice, but the closet was useless and couldn't been more useful of left open (remove those doors to make room for an open luggage!)
