Five nights here in September 2026, and we'd book it again without looking at anything else. Villa Favorita sits in the middle of La Concha, right next to Los Relojes - the clocks everyone in the city uses as a meeting point, and the main way down onto the sand. That's the white balustrade and the lampposts you've seen in every photo of San Sebastian. We walked everywhere for five days: Parte Vieja, Gros, the Kursaal, Monte Urgull. The only taxis we took were out to restaurants in the hills. We had a bay-view room on the third floor. Walking in the first time actually stopped us both - I've stayed in a lot of hotels and I don't remember the last time a room did that. And a bit of luck we didn't plan for: the Bandera de La Concha regatta was rowed in the bay on the Sunday we were there, and we watched the whole thing from the balcony with a coffee. Olatz had told us those balconies are the most sought-after seats in the city that morning. She didn't oversell it. The staff from the hotel is honestly what we'd come back for. Olatz got us a table at Asador Astillero in Getaria when Elkano was full, and then got us into Rekondo when the online system was showing nothing available - that turned out to be the best meal of our trip (well, we have an active disagreement between Astillero and Rekondo). Laura walked us through the parking and the low-emission zone before we picked up a rental car. Alba closed out the Rekondo confirmation. And Ale (Alejandro) is sunshine in human form. He's the one that brightens every room. Juan Carlos was great with us all week. There were also others whose names we didn't catch. Every one of concierge/ front desk team was friendly and genuinely helpful. If you take one thing from this review: ask the desk before you try to book anything yourself online. They got us into two places the internet said were full. Breakfast is good rather than spectacular, and honestly it doesn't matter, because you eat it on the terrace looking at the beach and the people going past. That terrace is one of the best spots in the city to start a day. Small hotel, no resort facilities. It doesn't need them - the beach is thirty seconds away and the city is behind you. Thanks to the whole team, we'll be back.

A wonderfull hotel in San Sebastian. Located right on the beach, most rooms have a direct and unbeatable view of the sea. The room feels luxurious, with every amenity present. The service is very friendly and helpfull. They also provide towels and chairs for thd beach.
We had such a relaxing stay. It’s a small, intimate hotel, but incredibly well-run, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. We felt so pampered by Anne and the rest of the staff—they truly treat you with such genuine warmth. Donostia itself is an absolute must-visit and a perfect romantic getaway.
Incredible hotel, staff was extremely kind and helpful during our stay. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The bed was very comfortable with a beautiful sea view. No issues with AC or amenities.
Villa Favorita exceeded every expectation. The location is absolutely spectacular, sitting right on the water with breathtaking views that are impossible to tire of. Waking up to the sound of the sea and watching the sunset from the property was unforgettable. The hotel itself is elegant, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully designed to take advantage of the incredible surroundings. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay.
