We had a wonderful stay here! The hotel’s location on Monte Igueldo is truly special, offering breathtaking panoramic views of San Sebastián and its beautiful bay. Waking up to such a stunning sunrise view made our stay extra memorable. Also it offers beautiful sunsets. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially, the receptionist Honore, who speaks excellent English which is not common in this areas. We had salads and burgers for dinner, both were great. One caveat: two beer cost euro 14.

Good location for the views, but the hotel is quite isolated and has limited facilities otherwise. The car park fills very quickly in high season and the funicular shuts at 9pm so if you want to eat in town, you'll need to take a bus and walk for the last 15min back to the hotel. Rooms are not soundproofed
The staff at this hotel could work in a prison where they have to apply all the rules of the management. The hotel is very bike unfriendly. Clean race bikes are not allowed in the room or in a storage space. Since the hotel was full there was no option for an upgrade (I’m a platinum member of Accor) When we asked flip flops the front desk staff said this was only for premium rooms. The front desk was poorly staffed. They all hide in the office and only when the there is a long line they show up. After the first day the pool towels were taken by housekeeping from the room and when we asked new ones the staff member said they couldn’t give them and told us we had to use the white towels from the room. On the second night our neighbors came home drunk at around 03:00am and started an afterparty in the room for a while. At least the manager offered us free breakfast the next morning. The rooms are quite outdated but spacious. The vegetable garden could get some attention (see photo) +1 star for the view and the pool.
Booked this hotel for the views and it did not disappoint for the views but most other aspects were not as good…. It is an older hotel, but im sure when it first opened, was an amazing space. However, the age is showing now. My room had a leaky something that i can hear when in the bathroom but not when sleeping so let concierge know at checkout. Wifi for some reason was quite slow and constantly drops and takes a couple mins before reconnecting… annoying bc the reception in the hotel is also a challenge so even though i have an unlimited sim card, cant use it… The pool deck view is amazing and large size but due to weather during my stay, didnt use it. The location means the view of San Sebastian is breathtaking. However, it also means you are at least one funicular ride plus 5-10mins walk from anything. As a guest, you get discounted funicular ride at 1.5€ each way. I am a younger and fit (cyclist and tennis player) person so i actually just walked to and from old town (1hr down, more for uphill, but it was nice to see cyclists doing the climb), but for others would have to pay for a 10-15€ taxi each way. Staff is nice but did see some guests get frustrated. If view is important for you, this will fit the bill, but i would rather pay more for a better location next time.
Absolutely stunning! We stayed here for a week and loved every minute of it. The views are unbelievable and something we'll never forget. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with tons of options to choose from. The staff were kind and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and clean. You can take the funicular down the mountain, or you can walk 10 minutes to catch the bus. This hotel was the highlight of our trip. We can't recommend it enough and would absolutely stay here again!
