My guide Ivan was great! He was funny, friendly, informative and fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese. The park is surreal and interesting, and the agency really makes the comute comfortable. As far as the food - very generous and high quality

The valley of the moon was amazing, and you must visit it if in San Pedro. I thought the tour was overpriced for what it was - we spent 45 minutes picking up people from their hotels around the city, walked to three viewpoints in the valley and drove back. The entry ticket to the valley itself wasn’t included in the tour price. I would probably just go to the valley myself (it’s very close to San Pedro) and spend longer seeing stuff I like and save a bunch of money if I had to do it again.

Visited several spots in Valley de la Luna on this sunset tour and the scenery speaks for itself, it’s like being on another world! The dunes and rock formations are really something. The picnic spread we got for sunset was also really lovely :)

Very good experience and tour

Our guide Ivan was very good. He knew so much about the geology of the area and his English was perfect. The walk was not too strenuous and the views amazing. The whole afternoon was very relaxed with Ivan’s playlist on the coach which he WhatsApped to us at the end of the trip! We would definitely go with Ivan as our guide again .

Iván and Freddie gave a wonderful tour of the moon valley - they were friendly and super informative. We learned lots of facts about the landscape and the indigenous community who run the park - they also made lovely cocktails and buffet whilst we watched the sunset. A 10/10 experience and also a 10/10 Spotify playlist for the van - thank you both

The valley is beautiful, but the tour was moved one hour before so we did not see the sunset at all. And we were never notices of that before. And eventough it was earlier, it was shorther than expected… :(

Had an amazing time on this tour! Tour guides were Iván and Freddy and they were both amazing. The tour pickup started at 3:30pm (they have a shuttle and drive around San Pedro picking everyone up). You get to the Valley of the Moon around 4:15 and then return after sunset. The Valley of the Moon is stunning and 100% worth a visit to. Iván added in a lot of information about the mountain range, the salt that forms there, the indigenous population that owns the land, etc. They set up a really nice cocktail and appetizer station before sunset. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling solo or with a group to San Pedro!

This tour did not meet the standards expected of a professionally guided experience. The guide appeared underqualified to lead an English-speaking group tour. While questions were answered when asked, his limited proficiency in languages other than Portuguese made explanations difficult to follow and resulted in very little meaningful commentary. The tour lacked structure, leadership, and informative content. Given that clear communication and competent guidance are central to a group tour, this experience was disappointing and not worth the cost. Travelers booking a guided tour should not have to struggle to understand the guide.

Incredible experience in English led by Iván and his driver, he was extremely knowledgeable of the local geography and was super fun to be with, highly recommend this tour if you come to San Pedro. He even provided food and drinks along the way that were excellent.

I had a fantastic time on my tour to Valle de la Luna! Our guide Iván was so enthusiastic and so knowledgeable about the area and made the whole experience very fun. He was excellent at all the languages spoken on the tour as well which was very helpful for everyone there to get to learn about the Atacama region.

Samuel was very enthusiastic and informative. The landscapes were breathtaking, and so was the history behind the region. I would definitely take this tour again!

I did 3 tours with Horizonte Atacama (moon valley, geyser el tatio and piedras rojas) and all those tours were excellent ! Well organized, great communication via Whatsapp for the pick-up and a lot of information during each tour ! They are passionnates and you cannsee that they enjoy doing their job ! Highly recommanded !

We had an incredible experience. Our guide, Chino, was very friendly and demonstrated a wealth of knowledge about the geological history and formations we saw in Moon Valley. The tour is a must-see.

Staff at the place was very helpfull and nice. Guides were lovely and highly competent. Prepared meals were tasty. I would recommend this place.

Erich was the best guide ever. I've been on so many tours around worldwide but none is like Erich who hosted us with so much warmth and care. He knows we travelled really far from Singapore to San Pedro and genuinely wanted to make sure we had the best time here (and we did!). He even took care of my elderly mum throughout the trip and constantly looks out for her. Food on the tour was good, he is also very knowledgeable in explaining the places. Everyone who wants to have an AMAZING time in San Pedro should look for Erich. He is no doubt the BEST guide we have met. Thank you Erich, much love from Singapore.

We did the valle de la luna tour with folks from multiple nationalities. They crrated a whatsapp group to manage the tour, they were on time, they were friendly and professional with a great cocktail in the end.

We had booked originally with Whipala Expedition but due to not enough people on the tour, we ended up with Horizonte instead as they usually work together. We did the Luna de Valley tour and it was fab. We had Edwin as our driver and Ivan as our guide and he was really good, gave lots of information and he was friendly too. We had pick up from our hostel and it was a short drive to the valley, then a circular walk with some good view points! It does look like Mars! Its unreal! Followed by snacks and a cocktail (pisco sour) which i wasn’t expecting as part of the tour. It was a nice spread for sure. Bad news was we didn’t get to see the sun set due to the clouds but it was still some great views. Really recommend!

Highly recommended, the duo Ivan/Antonio. I was a little late at my accommodation and they waited for me without any issues Both the guide and the driver were very kind and approachable; as I was traveling alone, I felt well accompanied and included by them. The guide took the time to speak one-on-one, personally with each of the participants while the tour was taking place, there was a quite pleasant cocktail at the end... I recommend them 100%.

Spectacular views. I recommend doing this tour on the first day in San Pedro since it is at the same altitude as the city and is less physically demanding than others at a higher altitude

I booked this activity mainly for the views from the Kari viewpoint. It is stated in the activity description that it is included in the tour, but that is not the case. The guide told us that it is inaccessible because the road has been under construction for 2/3 months. I booked the activity less than two months ago, so they knew at that time that the viewpoint would be inaccessible. I do not consider it correct or ethical to include it in the tour description when they know full well that it is inaccessible. Had I known, I would have spent my time and money on another activity.

Fantastyczne krajobrazy, skały, z którymi nagle sąsiaduje ogromna wydma, niesamowite panoramy i widoki na odległe szczyty, m.in. wulkan Licancabur. Wycieczka znakomicie zorganizowana, wszystko logistycznie dopięte na ostatni guzik. Od systemu powiadomień na Whatsapp'ie, przez system odbioru z hoteli, aż po bardzo dobre jedzenie. Przewodnik Ivan - mistrzostwo świata. Kompetentny, z ogromną wiedzą, świetnie przygotowany i bardzo doświadczony. Do tego autentycznie miły, nawiązujący dobry kontakt z wszystkimi uczestnikami wycieczki z osobna, każdemu poświęcił trochę czasu. Przy tym potrafi niepostrzeżenie utrzymać perfekcyjną dyscyplinę w grupie. Wszystko w najlepszym gatunku. Polecam!

The horizon tourism is a great agency, super attentive and everything is easily resolved by whatsapp (neither were we at the agency). We left with all the tours already closed from Brazil and we did not regret it! Even I was able to change a ride because the road was closed in the day! I had height pain (light) and felt well assisted by them! The driver are excellent and the food wonderful! The only suggestion would be to put fewer people in the Van ( suddenly charging a little more expensive to be able to operate this way) since on one of the tours my husband was all squeezed and the routes are all long and uncomfortable! The backbands are very uncomfortable (but there are people who don't connect or only find out later). So if you care about comfort and be the last hotel to get caught on the journey you run the risk of getting in the worst place in the van! Another positive thing is that they make groups of each tour and share the guide’s location and arrival order in the hotels (which avoids long waits from other travellers. This tour was wonderful, I was not with such high expectations as was with the astronomer! The guide Niko was the differential, super explained everything and gave tips to overcome bad altitude, in addition to being helpful to indicate restaurants and take photos (but everyone else did it too) on the other tours!

It is very quick to get there, since it is very close to San Pedro. The landscape is filled with yellows and oranges with the extensive formations of the salt mountain range. Learning about this is great. The hike is a bit difficult because you have to walk on sand but the views from the lookouts are incredible, so it is worth it.

The tour was perfect! Ivan was an exceptional guide: very attentive, fun and full of interesting information. I also want to highlight the driver Sergio, who was excellent, super good people and made all the difference in the experience. Amazing landscapes, great food and an impeccable organization. For those who are Brazilian, I consider one of the best cost-benefits to get to know Atacama. I recommend closed eyes!

You access the valley via a road in fair condition until reaching the points of interest. From there, you must go at 20 km/h; the road is in poor condition despite charging USD 24 per person for entry. Very expensive for what it offers. There are 4 places to park and walk, a large gray sand dune where you walk for about 20 minutes uphill in the sand to a viewpoint that has a good view, but without the variety of colors found in northern Argentina. Then another path also uphill for another view that is not better than the previous one. A third path leads to an abandoned mine with little to see, except for hearing the crunching of the salt due to the temperature change as the sun rises or sets, and the 3 Marias, which is a somewhat peculiar rock formation that is not very interesting. In my opinion, it is expensive for what it offers.

The tour guide knows a lot, is very prepared, empathetic, and cordial; the driver had good driving skills and respected traffic rules.

Wonderful place. Requires a lot of physical preparation as it is a steep climb with soft sand floor If I can take a cajado. Breathe calmly and walk slowly.

A fantastic tour in comfortable transport and guide Ivan very attentive, polite and available, with great knowledge and ease to convey. The Chofer and chef Daniel, equally friendly and helpful. We closed the day with a beautiful sunset with typical tasty drinks and food.

An extraordinary place! A wonderful experience for those who love to know the natural events that result in unique landscapes.
