Efficient and knowledgeable tour guide and driver. The geysers are interesting and the landscape on the drive back down is stunning. Breakfast was good. Be warned that it is VERY cold at the geysers (minus 7 degrees Celsius in mid/late March).
Loreto and her team were fabulous about everything - punctuality, checking with group about washroom stops, introducing us to different characters of geysers, sharing astonishing historical information about the place, breakfast, etc. We all connected well, and felt very satisfied at the end of the tour.

It is very pretty, the trip is long and a lot of dirt. The place is beautiful, it is too cold., it is like to contemplate it from the car.
Today, I went with my girlfriend on the Geyser tour with guide Manuel from agency Layana. A 7.0 in every sense. Concerned about the altitude sickness, he provided historical data and took photos of the group we were with. We had already had a tour with him last year, and his level of dedication is tremendous. If we go back again, we will request Layana and Miguel as our guides!
The Tatio Geysers are very interesting with a stunning landscape. The cold and the start time of the tour are the inconveniences.

I came to Layana on the advice of a friend and it was the best decision. Manu and Andrea were our guides on the tours, demonstrating knowledge of the place and integrating us into the Atacamenha culture. It is the third most geyser place in the world so if you haven't seen any you have to go. When we went there was only one intermittent, the rest were fixed. You have to go first thing, when it dawns you can hardly see the fumaroles anymore.
We had a great tour to the geysers thanks to the great care team of Loretto and the two Daniels. Impressive natural spectacle of geysers and interesting information with lots of charm make this tour unforgettable. Welcome additions were breakfast with phenomenal views and some sightings of desert animals. Tip: be sure to follow the tips for acclimatization, the altitude of 4,200 m is strongly noticeable.
We toured the Geyser del Tatio with Andrea Carrasco as guide and Caesar behind the wheel. Top team made our day super nice. Andrea has a lot of interesting information to share and also very pleasantly. It is a 10/10 experience and also a lot of laughs. Excellent breakfast and stops to see the flamingos and other fauna. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The incomparable landscapes, beautiful postcards, but lacked preparation by the guide Estefania, in fact to attend to a girl who decompensated were more concerned the driver and assistant Juli. Perhaps they could have carried a self-contained team or those small oxygen tubes to save the situation. And from the agency, they should not have coordinated a tour that requires overnight stays at least a couple of days in certain height conditions to people who arrived the day before. Or at least, to have informed them about it.
I closed 4 trip with the agency in August 2025, got it all right. All tours performed successfully! Just gratitude!!!!
We made two tours with Layana: valle de la Luna and geysers del tatio. On both tours we had quite cordial and punctual attention. We arrived and left the place as scheduled. In addition, the guides of both tours demonstrated extensive knowledge about the site and managed to pass on much of it with the participants of the tours. The agency also stood out for presenting precautions and certain needs to carry out the tour with greater tranquility, such as appropriate clothing, use of sunscreen, take additional water, headache medicine, etc.

The contracted tour included transportation, entrance fees and breakfast. Pick-up from the hotel was around 05:00 h and after almost 2 hours of travel arrive to the sector where the Geiser del Tatio are located at an elevation of about 4,200 meters above sea level and with a temperature of -11 °C. The tour takes about 50 minutes where the guide explained each of the geysers visited and at the end of the tour took us to a place to see the sunrise which was beautiful. After this, we left the grounds and in an esplanade near the geyser sector the guide with the driver prepared breakfast for each of us, which was very comforting (for the time we left the hotel we did not have breakfast and neither is it recommended to have breakfast before this trip). Continuing with the tour, we already returned to a viewpoint in the Putana Wetland where we could observe different species of birds and where you can also observe the volcano of the same name. At this location the visit lasted no more than 15 minutes. After this, we were taken to a small town called Vado Machuca where we stayed for about 20 to 30 minutes and then headed back to San Pedro. Without a doubt this visit is a must, even if you have to dawn, as the geysers are impressive and seeing the sunrise in that place is spectacular, despite the cold and the height. Mention aside our guide Andrea and the driver who prepared us a rich breakfast.
Geysers, wonderful. The driving, wonderful. The guides, pretty weak. I think more attention or preparation is lacking in the guides of this company. For the Geysers they left 30min later than indicated, we didn't arrive on time. The guide explained little and nothing during the trip. Little on the ground, little on culture, little on everything 😞 How we had tours with other companies we could compare with other guides and really, it was due. It is worth mentioning that with this company we also went to the Valley of the Moon and the guide performed similarly, low.
Excellent tour, very organized. Camilla is an excellent guide, with a lot of knowledge of the sites we visited and very attentive as is Caesar the driver.
We were attended by Sergio as driver and Carolina as guide. Impressive knowledge of fauna, flora, geology or ethnology. Questions we asked such as what are the black lines of the mountain (roads to collect the yacht) or the explanations about types of flamingos, vicuñas and other camelids, birds in the wet zone, or the communities of the populations through which we pass, unbeatable.
The excellent Manu guide! Worried about all the passengers, that everyone was comfortable and that they understood what I was explaining. Whenever he could he gave tips, explanations of what we saw and answered all the queries that were put to him with very very good willingness. Very tidy, respected the times of the itinerary without pressuring anyone. In addition, he fulfilled the role of photographer 100% too!!!
Take 2 tours with you, Moon Valley and Tatio Geyser... Carola and Stefi Guides a love, also explain very well, entertain, accompany, etc... a 7 both... We took this tour with my partner. It is to be in the middle of the living and active earth, with geyser of millions of years that tell us of the history of the earth. We passed the Putana River back from the Geysers, beautiful place. The driver Sebastian very skilled, and friendly, and the guide Andrea amazing and charismatic. Excellent breakfast, which for climatic conditions was made in the village Machuca, beautiful place of only 6 inhabitants. Wonderful tour, with didactic and practical explanations from the guide, who handled the group excellently, taking care of each one and maintaining good spirits despite how early the tour is. As a recommendation, I would suggest that the agency not carry out the tour so early, as I understand that they are the agency that starts the earliest and is not entirely necessary. 100% recommend this tour, thank you!
Excellent service, our guide was Andrea, they added us to a WhatsApp group and gave us all the tour information. I recommend following the directions as it was really cold and windy... They surprised us with an exquisite breakfast and worried about looking for a place where there was not much wind. They gave us information about the geyser, about the fauna and flora of the place, they worried to stop to show us the animals that with the naked eye as a tourist you do not observe. They offered us to take pictures and they take very beautiful. Highly recommended to tour with the company, we did 4 tours with them.
They need to improve the service. We took two tours with them and the impression only confirmed in the second. The Van, the guides, the quality of the breakfast...compared with other operators, leaves nothing to be desired.
I went with another agency to the Tatio geyser on December 4, 2024. I want to mention that on the tour of the Layana agency they did not worry that tourists did not feed the animals of the sector. Being fundamental to maintaining the ecosystem of the place in the short and long term

I went with my sister last week and we played Manu as a guide in 2 tours and I want to put on record that it is the driest! spoke to us and explained at all times, entertaining, attentive, funny, friendly, a dry!! The cocktails and breakfasts were atomic! So are the two drivers who touched us by bakans. Manu made this experience a unique, fully recommended experience

Excellent experience with Layana, very punctual in pickups and organized; good vehicles and good food, we were lucky because we had breakfasts with Franchuteria bread that was luxurious.
