Ivan was an absolute beauty of a guide. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, which made the whole tour that much more interesting. We were genuinely surprised by how much wildlife we got to see. This was easily the best tour we’ve done in Atacama so far. Horizonte also did a great job with the meals, drinks, and communication throughout. Great value for the money. Highly recommend!

This was a full day with some amazing and dramatic views. Flamingos and vicunas were abundant and service was great.

I have done 9 tours with this agency. We had 3 guides (Sergio, Samuel, and Nicolas), and two of the tours were self-guided - just with a driver (the Astronomical tour and Puritama). All three of them took great care of the group, answered our questions, and shared plenty of details about both the Atacama and Chile in general. We do have a slightly wider smile for Samuel :) but that’s just a purely personal preference. All three were extraordinary. The drivers from Horizonte also deserve a special shout-out: they drive carefully and are sharp right from the early hours of the morning (4,30 AM); even after 8–10 hours, when the sun is high up, they are just as fresh. Hats off to them. We send a special greeting to Daniel. In conclusion: there are many agencies in San Pedro de Atacama, but many are unreliable (we are still waiting today for an answer that was supposed to take a few hours, and we’ve already been back home for 5 days...), and there are many drivers, but by the time you reach the points of interest, you can barely get off the bus because you feel so sick (we saw this with our own eyes). You get rushed through the desert as if enemies are chasing you from behind. That is not the case with Horizonte. This is exactly why I wrote such a long review: nowadays, with the way things are, a company that does its job right and puts you, the Client, at the center of attention is unfortunately no longer a common thing. All the best, and you should definitely trust them with your trip! Have a great vacation!

The tour was great. The guides are very friendly and interesting. The pickup up at the hôtel in the morning is on time and well organised. Safe drivers as well. I was very happy to have chosen this tour.

My guide Leonardo was fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and answered all of my questions. The agency is very organized and coordinated all the logistics. The sights were amazing! Definitely worth seeing while in Atacama. The food given for lunch was tasty, healthy and generous.

Great tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the different areas visited. It’s a long day but is broken up nicely by various stops. Only thing could have been better is the majority of the group was English speaking but we always had the Spanish first and they then made quite a pose getting up once the English version started would have been better to have English first if majority of group was English.

We tried different agencies and this was better quality than others even if it was a bit pricier (5 usd more than others). The breakfast and lunch offered more variety and good quantity. The guide (Fran) was very knowledgeable and passionate, and was very friendly. Everything was on time and they make a WhatsApp group in advance to pick you up from the hostel, to let you know when you will be picked up (other agencies don’t do this). I went on 4 tours with Horizonte and they were all amazing! I did the geysers, moon valley, red rocks, and salt lagoons. Each tour had a different guide and all of them were so fun and friendly and had lots of knowledge. And you see so much more than they tell you about when booking. The drivers were very safe. We did the Piedras Rojas full day tour with Ivan and Daniel and it was a great experience. Ivan was a brilliant tour guide with a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of the tour and was full of energy. Shout out to Daniel as well for a great breakfast and lunch. Thanks for making it an enjoyable day out, I fully recommend for anyone visiting the Atacama.

I booked with 3 different tour agencies instead of booking everything with one agency, just in case I didn’t pick a good one. It was so hard to choose with so many good and bad reviews for each agency. I’m happy I did try different companies because Horizante was the third out of 3 companies that I tried, and in comparison to the other 2, I found them the best, in my personal opinion. Horizante was not the cheapest tour company, but I felt the difference with the cheaper companies. I would rather pay a little extra and have a better experience. My reasons: - booking staff (sorry, I can’t remember her name but she has long blond hair) was aware of closure dates that affected tours. Because I was on a tight schedule and I had already booked some tours with other companies, I was only able to book one tour (Altiplanicas) with Horizante. I went to another company and booked the tour that she said was closed, and the night before I got a text saying that it was closed so I needed to come in for a refund - Ivan was our guide, who was excellent. He spoke Spanish, Portuguese, and English fluently. He wouldn't stay in one language for an overly extended time and would bounce equally from language to language, making me feel like I wasn't missing any information. On a tour put on by another company, the guide spoke for what felt like forever in Spanish, then the English version seemed very short. Ivan also takes very clearly and at good volume that everybody could hear. This was not the case in some of my other tours. Freddie was our driver and he was great too. Ivan was very knowledgeable and he presented all the information in a very interesting way that kept my attention. - the temperature in the tour bus was comfortable. On another company's tour, the air conditioning didn't work and it got quite hot - a WhatsApp group was created and Ivan turned on his location services so we knew where he was. He also texted us the order in which we were getting picked up. I appreciated this immensely as one tour company never came to pick me up at 4:30am because they put my name on the wrong date. I think this is an awesome idea and everybody should be doing this. I greatly appreciated this extremely clear communication Hindsight is always 20/20. If I knew what I know now and did this again, I would probably book all my tours through Horizante.

Amazing landscape and wonderful weather conditions to discover the Atacama desert with our two nice and knowledgeable guides Camilla and Cristian. A bit too crowded though in my opinion to feel totally immersed in the desert

The whole day from start to finish was amazing. Anotella our guide and our driver Chris were fantastic. Their knowledge of the area and history of Chile were outstanding. The scenery was simply breathtaking and magical. Breakfast and lunch were also good. If you come to San Pedro de Atacama and don't take this trip you will have missed out on a wonderful experience.

The trip was well organized. Bus comfortable, and breakfast and lunch good especially with the vegetarian options. Ivan was a great guide and gave a lot of good information and facts about the flamingoes and various animals we saw enroute. Danny was a careful driver and played good music. It was a fun trip and I’d definitely recommend it.

Fran was a great tour guide and Raul was a great driver with Belo Horizonte! Fran texted us details of the hotel pickup the night before and kept us posted throughout. Raul was a very professional driver. Fran shared numerous facts about the flora and fauna of the sites we were seeing in the car which we appreciated because then we could explore the places ourselves when we reached. She was also willing to take many group pictures. She also previewed the day for us as we went. One of the best tours I took in Atacama.

Today I was on a trip with Horizonte and I have to tell that it was perfectly planned. Ivan who is a guide is incredible, I've received many informations which have been super fascinating. During the trip I didn't have any bad impresion. If you want to see a part of Atacama Desert and also have great time, Horizonte is a right choice!

Christian was very professional, conversing in both English and Spanish in sharing his knowledge. He provided a well organised and delicious breakfast and lunch. The locations visited were well timed and unforgettable. It was a long day but most enjoyable and I'd do it all over again. I highly recommend this tour.

An all round fantastic tour - well organised from the offset, with up to date location sharing so that we didn’t have to wait outside our hotel for ages in the cold (done this before 😂); enthusiastic, detailed and relevant information from our guide (Ivan); careful driving and good food (Victor); and genuinely outstanding sights. The trip was absolutely first class. Of course the scenery was breathtaking but Ivan and Daniel truly made the tour memorable with Ivan’s extensive knowledge as our guide and Daniel as our professional chef, photographer and companion with all the right equipment for us to enjoy the wildlife. They know a lot about the different sites and speak very well in English, Spanish and Portuguese when it is needed. They also take good care of everyone and are very clear about the rules of the places you visit. The vans are quite comfortable and the tours also include delicious food and drinks. Our tour guide in particular, Francisca Ibacache, was really impressive. Always on top of everything, from logistics to safety to science, history and everything there is to learn about these beautiful places. She is really knowledgeable, always willing to explain everything related to geology, geography, fauna, flora, history, culture, etc. You can tell she enjoys reading and learning about the places we visit, as well as sharing this knowledge and resources with the most curious tourists. By talking with her you can learn a lot of things from different perspectives and understand how they are connected to each other. It also makes you want to learn more about the places you visit. Also very friendly, helpful and taking care of the slightest details, like telling you when it was going to be cold or hot, when it was best to have a snack or go to the restroom, where it was more likely to see this or that animal, or which were the best photo spots. Thanks to her and our driver Daniel being very attentive and professional, we also got to see a lot of fauna along the way. Overall it was a wonderful experience. I totally recommend it and would absolutely do it again with this agency, no doubt about it.

I went to piedras rojas with Horizonte Atacama and had the best time! The day was filled with adventure. Ivan was such a great tour guide explaining all the details. We had a great breakfast and lunch thanks to Nelson. I would totally recommend it.

We took a trip to the Lagunas antiplanicas and it was a great experience. Ivan explained nicely about the animals and geology. Daniel helped with the equipments. Our recommendations for them!!

We did the Pedras Rojas day tour and were very happy with our guide Daniela Zahiree. Unlike other tours, she gave us a lot of information on the way to our destinations. She had a tablet on which she showed us some helpful pictures. Lunch was simple but delicious. The breakfast with fresh eggs was also great.

The booking team were excellent and very friendly. The tour guides/drivers were good, but Freddie & Ivan were exceptional with excellent knowledge and English translation.

The pick-up time is around 6:00 AM, and as someone who isn't a morning person, I wasn’t at my best. Still half-asleep during the ride, I wasn’t expecting much — but that changed quickly, thanks to our amazing guide, Daniela. Between the carefully chosen music and her insightful explanations about the volcanoes surrounding us, she managed to ignite my interest in the tour. Cami and Daniel from 'Horizonte' were excellent. I was collected from my hostel punctually, offered lots of information, the driving was safe and comfortable, breakfast and lunch were quickly laid out and both were tasty and well prepared. There were plenty of photo stops and at no time was the tour rushed. Explanations were clear including safety issues/regulations. It was a good day out!

My 14-year old and I loved the Piedras Rojas tour with Horizonte and Cami (guide) and Daniel (driver). It was amazing to see the wildlife -- vicuñas, flamingos, and even a viscacha (rabbit-like rodent), which they knew how to find. The food was good and discussions with the Cami fun and informative. Tip: considering wearing long underwear for the walks at the high lagunas in the winter.

I did four tours with Horizonte and I really liked the quality of the service provided. Vehicles in good condition, punctual, guides with knowledge and very helpful. I needed to cancel a tour one day before the scheduled date and the communication and resolution were very fast. I recommend.

Very good tour, good guide (Sergio) and passionate about what he explains. Good breakfast and lunch included. It is a tour that you cannot miss if you go to Atacama. As a point for improvement, it would be good to send the hotel pickup order and estimated time well in advance, since it is very early and sometimes you have to wait 30 minutes at the accommodation.

It is an incredible experience. Bring plenty of water and clothes for the cold. The café could change some flavors because we did 4 tours and the meals were the same.

Everything was excellent. We had a very good experience with the agency. We did all the tours with them. Wonderful place. It is a 10 out of 10 service. I want to especially thank Samuel, who was our guide for most of the tours and is the best. Super professional, attentive! The horizon tourism is a great agency, super attentive and everything is easily resolved by whatsapp (neither were we at the agency). We left with all the tours already closed from Brazil and we did not regret it! Even I was able to change a ride because the road was closed in the day! The drivers are excellent and the food wonderful! The only suggestion would be to put fewer people in the Van ( suddenly charging a little more expensive to be able to operate this way) since on one of the tours my husband was all squeezed and the routes are all long and uncomfortable! The backbands are very uncomfortable (but there are people who don't connect or only find out later). So if you care about comfort and be the last hotel to get caught on the journey, you risk getting in the worst place in the van! Another positive thing is that they make groups of each tour and share the guide's location and arrival order in the hotels (which avoids long waits from other travellers
