We had an incredible experience visiting El Tatio Geysers with Molantur. From the very beginning, the organization was flawless. Communication was clear and timely, so we knew exactly what to expect for the early morning start. Our guide Mauricio was the highlight of the trip, his local knowledge was deep and fascinating, but what impressed us most was his attention to everyone in the group. He managed a diverse group of Portugese and Spanish speakers perfectly, ensuring no one missed out on the history or the safety tips.

We'll have an hour and a half in the vehicle to the third largest geothermal field in the world: the Tatio Geyser. Smokes reaching 10 meters, subzero temperatures. A spectacle for the eyes, mountains and volcanoes around, beautiful.
We enjoyed a spectacular breakfast in a unique place, El geyser Blanco : it is a river with internal geysers that allow incredible views.
After breakfast, we will go to the ford of Putana and the Vado de Machuca to observe local fauna and a small village in the highlands.
In this small town we can enjoy patties of goat cheese and llama meat (not included in the price), all prepared by people from the area.

Seeing the geysers was worth the early pick up but our host spoke mostly Spanish and had an odd way of driving (odd road) which made the travel time longer. Viator itself I will never book through again as they never gave credit for rewards on this booking.
Excellent tour! Our guide was the sweetest and really took the time to explain the history and science behind the geysers and what we were seeing. He also prepared an adorable and tasty breakfast and took time to show us the wildlife in the area - at times we also felt we were on a safari! Such cool adventure. Highly recommend.
Our Guide Victor was excelent, very kind and helpful as all guides from Molantur. He could get us view from Viscachas, Vicunas, Llamas, All kinds of birds including Flamingos. In depth explanation of Geisers, Rock formations and Volcanos.
Our experience on the tour with the guide was awful. The driver and guide, Rafael was not informative or share much knowledge of what we were seeing or visiting.the unexpected rain added to the cold weather and unexpected delays which were not handled well or communicated to us by Rafael. We did not visit all the sites listed on the itinerary and the omissions were not shared with the passengers so we missed seeing the oldest church and Blanco Gyser. Rafael consistently drove at twice the posted speed limit which made the drive extremely unsafe and stressful given the unpaved and windy roads. When we asked him to slow down and put his cellphone away while driving he continued at the same unsafe speed. He was dismissive and most unhelpful and showed no concern for our son not feeling well from altitude sickness and was infact exasperated at us asking him to pull over for our son to step out of the van. This was not a pleasant experience for our family on all fronts. Please be sure to ask for a different tour guide through this tour operator. We felt unsafe with Rafael and felt the ‘tour’ was just a taxi service.
An amazing experience in the Atacama! Our guide Nata was incredible. She was so attentive from the start and checking in with us. I was nervous because I’d never been at such a high altitude, but her attitude made me not worry about it, and I had no issues (other than feeling a little heavy, and it was hard to breathe climbing the optional church steps, which is to be expected). I was the only English speaker on the tour and she translated everything for me. I never felt not included, and she was incredible at making sure everything she said in Spanish she said in English. She also look her time to get us all amazing photos which was so kind. The geysers were really cool, and seeing them at sunrise was so amazing! We saw lots of vicuñas as well, Andean flamingoes, and other birds. The little town was a nice spot to stop and understand who the local people are that manage the area, and the breakfast was very lovely. Overall, an unmissable tour with a fantastic guide and driver.
Road Trip is longgggg (3 hours round trip) with very bumpy rough roads most of the way (so impossible to sleep). The trip starts at 4:30 am (pick up time at your hotel). They will NOT drop you at the hotel, instead in Caracol road. We were 12 people plus driver/tour guide, Alvaro Chocobar who was entertaining, knowledgeable and nice to everyone. It was a relaxing trip once at the Tatio with plenty of time for questions, walking and picture taking. We paid $90 per person and that also included a nice breakfast which we had on the side of road after the geisers at around 9:00 am, by the mountain with a great view. Breakfast include fresh bread which what pick up at bakery freshly made on our way to the geisers, Alvaro prepare scrambled eggs right on the spot, we had cheese, salami, fruits, marmalades, Oreo cookies, Chilean cakes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, peach juice. Everything was set up on table once on the area to eat. Best for anyone who can walk the area and tolerate the marathon of the road trip. It was cold!!!!! Be well prepared with layers.
The tour was booked through Molantur who then transferred us to Feel agency without our approval. Unfortunately, we don’t good things to say about our tour. While it started okay with us seeing the geysers, our van had a flat tire right before breakfast. The flat tire was replaced by a spare. I made a comment that the spare looked relatively under-inflated. However the driver encouraged us to proceed. We drove to the breakfast site and upon arrival the spare was flat. The spare tire was actually just another completely worn out tire which also got flat within a 5 minute drive. While we indicated that the spare looked compromised, our driver decided to proceed nevertheless, which put us in a potentially dangerous situation as the roads are quite uneven and the terrain is rugged. Upon discovering the other flat, we were stopped in a general area and surrounded by other vans. Sadly, our driver, instead of trying to ask other vans for a spare or to see if we could join their tour, tried to inflate a broken tire instead. Some time passed and we see them placing the old tire back on after repair with a sealant. The tire failed again. Given how steep the drive back was, and how rugged the dirt roads are, we felt horrified that a tour agency would even think about this being a safe solution for a large group. As the other tours left, we were left stranded in desert, to wait for over 2 hours (he shared that someone was coming in 40 minutes). Despite us sharing with the driver on numerous occasions that we had a flight to catch and an appointment right before it, he proceeded to make all planned stops once the tire was finally replaced. He stopped at those stops for several minutes. He drove really fast and broke so much, so much so that we had to endure a burning break pad smell for the entirety of our trip back which made us quite nauseous and also caused significant distress. This was a horrifying experience and we are frankly lucky to not have been injured. Please be very careful. I do not recommend using this company and, if the agency you purchase your tour transfers you to them (which happened to us) please think twice before proceeding with them. They clearly don’t care about anyone’s safety.
The reservation was made in person at Inti Para office in San Pedro De Atacama with Liz. She asked us pertinent questions, explained all the tours and helped us to take the one which was good for us. Two days after we meet with Cristobal our guide and driver. He was on time and gave us the information we need to know the night before. He know a lot about history and shared it with us. We saw lots of wildlife.
We made this trip with Mirko who was an exceptional guide! Very knowledgeable, patient and kind. Since the tour is at a high altitude, he gave us some preparation tips the night before and ensured that we were feeling well during the entire tour. Four sure an excellent guide that I would recommend to all my family and friends!!
Our favorite tour! Albert our guide was so kind and went out of his way to make it wonderful for everyone. We saw flamingos and other native species that were so fun and the geysers were spectacular!
The tour is very well organized by texting since the day before and the day of, on time for pick up and friendly guide. I recommend them.
An early morning collection from our hostal by our friendly and accommodating guide Alberto, who happily guided us through our trip in both English and Spanish, taking time to explain the geography behind the story of the geysers, the significance of the geysers to the indigenous peoples, and also how we might react to being at a high altitude ~4,300m and what to do should any of us feel dizzy. The drive up the mountain pass in the morning darkness gave those of us sat near the window to gaze upwards into the night sky and the constellations. Greeted on arrival by a passing local Andean fox or paramo wolf, who stopped off on his early morning stroll to drink from a small pool of water, we then entered the park taking the short walk from the car park to the first of the geysers. It really is worth the early start to experience the steam in the very earliest morning light, which creates such an atmospheric feeling. Alberto took us across the park to the numerous geysers, providing plenty of time to observe the geysers and take photos. Afterwards, Alberto took us on a short drive to neighbouring high point for a light breakfast with bread, meats, cheeses and fresh coffee - but more importantly a spectacular view of the snowy high peaks of the Bolivian high plateau and the green valleys around the area where the vicuña grace. The drive back to San Pedro took in the beautiful landscape including a stop to observe flamingo wading through the lakes in their search for brine shrimp. Alberto helpfully explaining to us the various species of flamingo we were observing and the other bird life too. We were driven back to our hostal to conclude a fantastic day filled with spectacular views. Highly recommended!
The geysers were great, but the commentary mainly in Spanish, even though the guide could speak English. So a bit more English would have been appreciated.
Nice trip, really cold in am, make sure to get warm clothing. Tour guide was nice, a little rushed though.
The high altitude is no joke! Carlos, our guide was awesome. He really kept everyone motivated to make it to the summit. He was high energy , and you can tell he loves his job! I highly recommend this tour
It will be really very very cold in the valley before the sunrise, so do’t disregard the advice to take warm winter clothe
The driver was also the guide. Ideally this should be done by 2 people; so that the driver can focus on the road, while a guide can speak to the group (needed to use a microphone). The tour was fine, but we didn’t know the outline of the tour (only as it went along). Other groups appeared to have a more comfortable breakfast. The van was cold & needed to be cleaner. The driver did try to do his best, advice on altitude sickness was not satisfactory. The photo for this tour is irrelevant to the tour.
We had a lovely trip and I do think this is the best one you can do. Lot’s of cool things to see and experience, like actually swimming in the water which a lot of other tours don’t do. Our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable. Improvements, pick up time, we were told be ready for between 4-5 am, we were there at 4 but didn’t get picked up until 5 and thought maybe we were the last but we were only the second to be picked up. A more accurate pick up time would have been better, more sleep to not be so tired on the trip. Secondly, drop off was just to a central place, luckily we weren’t staying far and could walk. And thirdly, park entrances were supposed to be included as it says in description but we were made to pay and now trying to request a partial refund.
The tour was simply magical! The guide demonstrated an impressive knowledge and turned the experience into a true lesson about the region and its history. The breakfast was simple, but very tasty and well served. In addition, punctuality, safety and team organization made all the difference. Both the guide and the driver were extremely professional, attentive and helpful. Even, we forgot a blouse in the van and they made a question of locating it and taking it to us. This care and attention to customers makes all the difference. Super recommend this agency and this tour! It was an unforgettable experience.
The excursion is well worth it. A totally different landscape from what we have seen so far in San Pedro de Atacama. You have to go well prepared for the cold. The guides Erich and Flavio were very kind and the explanation of everything was very interesting.
Excellent experience, the guides are a 7.
Regarding the transfer to the Tatio geysers, the agency had an issue when we were already well on our way; they remembered that they had left a passenger behind, so the driver and guide decided to go back to get them. We lost a lot of time and could not arrive to see the geyser at sunrise, although they were still active, so it was a nice view anyway. The good thing was that the breakfast was very complete and we were able to see the local fauna and wonderful landscapes. The guide Paz did not speak at all, and she had no proactivity. As feedback, generate a CHECK list before leaving, such as: counting the passengers before leaving, calling the passengers, and providing information about the place to be visited.
Wonderful experience. All perfect! Perfect guide! Excellent breakfast with a splendid view. The guide explained clearly and speaks fluent English
Excellent experience. I particularly highlight the work of the guide and driver, Cristobal, who showed great experience and professionalism throughout. Responsible agency that complies with agreed schedules and deals.
Great guide, great place and 10 out of 10 breakfast. Experience and work are punctual, with very good coordination for the service
Excellent service... We are picked up wn our accommodation and give directions for the tous...very committed guide, beautiful scenery, breakfast buffet , an unforgettable experience Recommended 100
I was fascinated, the place is amazing. But the service, logistics and guidance make it even more pleasurable. Among many gestures that were a plus like the one that will lend me some cold gloves, the relevance data of the tour, the suggestion for photos and sightings that were fortunate to coincide. This experience was exquisite 🥰
We had a very good experience with Molantur agency on the tour to the Geysers of the Tatio. From the beginning everything was very well organized, with good communication and punctuality. I highlight the attention of Percy, who managed the tour and was always very willing and attentive that everything went perfect. During the tour we made several stops, which allowed us to take pictures quietly and enjoy the landscape, as well as receive very good information about the place, its environment and features. Mirko was our guide and did a good job, explaining clearly and closely. The breakfast they prepared during the tour was spectacular: hearty, rich and very comforting considering the cold of the morning. Undoubtedly a very well-kept experience in all the details. I totally recommend Molantur.
Wonderful, everything from the beginning I contacted the agency and my angel because for me it was Perci excellent disposition, kindness, helped me in everything to get hostels, places to meet in San Pedro, I took 3 tours the Astronomical that our guide was Alejandro, then the Geysers with Jonathan and ended up with Paul in the Valley of the Moon, both the agency and especially the attention of Perci out of 10 of 10 , 1000% recommended, even helped me to get my trip to the Salar de Uyuni where it was all cupped, just give my sincerest congratulations to all this great human team, had an incredible time and obviously looking forward to return and hire your services. Maximum happiness 😄
Excellent. Mirko explained every detail of the tour with a lot of knowledge of the sector (history, geography, culture, legends, etc), as well as being very willing and friendly. He also attended us with a good breakfast, and also always worried that we were okay. We did not lack a couple of passengers who felt bad, and Mirko always attentive to them.
The very safe tour, the best guide, thanks to mirko, the amazing breakfast, adjusted to each person's needs, and speed
Meeting the Geyser del Tatio was AMAZING! We never saw anything like it (and that we traveled quite a lot in the Andes). The tour was excellent and I consider it to be an excursion that must be done and guided. Our guide Alberto explained a lot to us at each stop, and he was very attentive to take care of us and not to miss any sight both in the geyser and in the following stops. Seeing the sunrise between volcanoes and having breakfast at 4300mts are possible experiences that one should live. The exciting church of Machuca, the vicuñas and the flamingos an unexpected plus. As a scientist I found the evidence-based explanations very appropriate but I also want to highlight that on each Molantur tour, the guides complement the explanation with the Andean worldview. From yapa, Alberto and Victor (the rider) make you ride the mountain path listening to an Andean playlist. Super satisfied!
It was the best tour I have ever done in San Pedro! The geysers were amazing and Cristobal was very cool, energetic and explained everything great! I highly recommend it
It was amazing! Our tour guide Mirko made the day perfect. He picked us up on time (even with WhatsApp Live location) and was always in a great mood and motivated us. Everything was professionally explained, he was a great driver and has and with love prepared breakfast. But the best part was that he had his professional camera with him and photographed the whole tour. I am curious about the photos! Thanks Mirko Andrei :-)
Amazing! I loved the tour only to be prepared because it is super cold before sunrise. The breakfast very rich and forceful and the guide victor the most friendly and loving with lots of information!
Mirko was our guide, chef and driver 🤭 with very good attitude and disposition, made our trip a great experience and adventure. We were happy with my daughter!
The tour too good, is not just going to look at the geyser, our guide Mirko, gave us an excellent class of all the history and activity of the geyser. It is also very punctual in pick up and return times. The tour includes several stops to other tourist areas making it a 3-in-1. Very complete breakfast! The only detail for my rating is not 5 is the vehicle, it is very small, which makes the trip a little uncomfortable (1.5 hours round trip).
We loved the guide Cristobal, sure added a lot to the experience. We had not closed the tour with the agency specifically, but we noticed that sometimes the agencies "terceirize" the services and we ended up doing the tour with Molantur by chance. With the agency that we initially closed the tours we had problems, but with Molantur, all right! Next time, we'd go on them.
What an amazing tour! We are very happy. Our guide Sebastian was excellent, very friendly and rating that he is a passionate person for what he does. It gave us lots of interesting information and also a spectacular breakfast!
We booked the tour with Mirko and were absolutely thrilled! Mirko shared his passion for the geysers with us and regularly asked about the well-being of all participants. From start to finish of the tour 10/10 ✨✨
My experience was very rewarding and everything very well coordinated, very grateful of Percy which managed each of my tour which went perfectly
Alberto is very friendly and the whole experience is very pleasant. Highly recommended. Me and my family had a great time. Breakfast by the river is a plus and unique in Atacama.
Molantur was an essential part of the experience of our friends trip. Beyond meeting schedules or coordinating activities, especially Percy (our advisor) who was present with a friendly, attentive and professional attitude at all times. I felt like he really cared that every detail went well, and that made a difference.” Capacity (in covers) to calmly resolve our adjustments to travel schedules, provide interesting facts about each place and make sure we felt comfortable and safe was admirable. It was noticed that you not only master the logistics, but also enjoy connecting with people, which turns a journey into something much deeper and more human. Thank you for being part of our experience. I would recommend your work to anyone who wants to travel with confidence, good energy and warmth.
It was amazing and the guide Alberto was very friendly to everyone on the ride!! Breakfast was also very good or the view was very nice
Really one of the best guided experiences. Valentine (the guide) with a charisma that manages to connect very well with everyone. Loved the visit, the places, the breakfast (amazing)! I recommend it anyway!
Beautiful experience in Los Geyser del Tatio, I went with my friends of life and it was tremendous experience. Valentine is the best guide we could have had, he is very loving and knows a lot. Totally recommended!
It was a wonderful trip!!, from the purchase of the tour to the guide. We sold the tour David Calderon, excellent recommendation, friendly, attentive and friendly and the driver and guide Alberto excellent professional, punctual, friendly, attentive and close. Congratulations to Molantour agency and its collaborators. Hugs from Villa Alemana.
The best group and the best guide in the world!! The guide Valentin is very professional, takes care of us a lot and helps us to take pictures, thanks to the Valentine and the driver, including the companions. Love our group, love from China!!
El.tour was very good, we must highlight the guide who shared all the stories of the area, we must highlight his concern, patience and better photographs. A great contribution, highly recommended
