Depart early for an 8-hour journey to the El Tatio Geothermal Field, nestled in the Andes Mountains at 4,321 meters above sea level. Witness the spectacular display of steam jets rising from boiling water pools at dawn, with steam columns reaching heights of almost 6 meters. After exploring the geothermal field and enjoying breakfast, take a short walk to spot Andean fauna like vicuñas. On the return journey, visit the Machuca Bofedal to observe local wildlife such as ducks, flamingos, vicuñas, and llamas. Return to San Pedro de Atacama, having marveled at the wonders of the Andean landscape.
