Geysers Del Tatio

We had a nice time exploring El Tatio geysers and seeing flamingos at Machuca. If you can't/don't want to drive yourself, this is a good option. Breakfast was a nice touch.

Visiting the geysers was interesting and cold. Our guide Ivan answered all our questions and was enthusiastic about shareing his knowledge. Saw lots of animals, and the drive was comfortable with great food provided.

It was such an amazing experience with Sergio! We had a great time and saw some of the most stunning landscapes ever. Everything went smoothly as plannes and we also had a delicious breakfast. We got to see the Flamingos and Vicuñas too!

We booked 3 tours with Horizonte Turismo and they were excellent and professional from start to finish. From our initial visit to their office, we were attended to by Catalina, she took time to explain everything in detail and most importantly everything happened as she explained on all the tours. Coincidentally we had the same guide Fran on 2 of the tours and she was great. Enough information to make it interesting she pitched at the right level of the audience

Early morning trip to Tatio. Everything went as scheduled, prompt pick up and the tour stayed on track with the outlined schedule. After visiting the geysers we pulled off and had a very good breakfast of fresh bread, meats, cheeses and avocado. An assortment of morning beverages were available. The guide Nicolas did an excellent job of explaining all aspects of the tour. The tour was done in Spanish and English . Easy to understand both. Nicolas was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I'd choose this tour company again and recommend them.

Very well organized tour. We loved our guides Fran & Ricardo who explained everything very well (in 3 languages!). It was great also for the kids. Breakfast was really great. Also the bus was new and the driver (Nelson) was a safe hand! Advice: bring warm clothes! It was -5 degrees up there…but absolutely stunning!

Erich was the best guide ever. I've been on so many tours around worldwide but none is like Erich who hosted us with so much warmth and care. He knows we travelled really far from Singapore to San Pedro and genuinely wanted to make sure we had the best time here (and we did!). He even took care of my elderly mum throughout the trip and constantly looks out for her. Everyone who wants to have ana AMAZING time in San Pedro should look for Erich. Thank you for the great tour of the Geysers! The breakfast they prepared was fantastic (the local bread was amazing and better than what was offered at the hotel!!) and we had a great time with Camila and Nelson, who looked after us with genuine care. Highly recommend the El Tatio Geyser tour with Horizonte Atacama. After 4 days in San Pedro, this was the first tour we took, as we have been self-driving everywhere else. Nicole in the office was extremely helpful, friendly and efficient, using WhatsApp to communicate all information, pick up times etc. The drive in the dark negotiating hairpin bends and mudslides was challenging and I am so glad we didn't attempt it ourselves. We had every confidence in our driver Fredy who took it easy and safely, whilst others whizzed past at dangerous speeds. But the biggest thank you to our guide for the day, Fran. A wonderful, warm and knowledgeable person, switching between Spanish and English effortlessly , patient, never rushing us, answering questions, taking photo requests and making extra stops when we saw the flamingos. We had a great tour..thank you.

The tour to Geyser del Tatio was amazing notably given the landscape. However the guide did not speak spanish very well neither english. She did not provide much details on the landscape.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Tatio Geysers with Ivan and Daniel as our guides. The trip was extremely well organised and communication with the Horizonte tour company was excellent before, during and after. Ivan as our guide was informative, knowledgeable, thoughtful and very engaging. We all felt we came away from the experience having learnt a lot. Daniel is a master driver and master chef at 4,000 metres! I can highly recommend the Horizante tour company and Ivan and Daniel as an expert team. Than you very much for a great experience.

The tour is wonderful! You have to wake up very early, but seeing the Geysers is a spectacular experience.

We made several trips with the Horizon. Some were cancelled due to the weather conditions and the refund of paid amounts was made in a quick and peaceful way. Organized tours, clear information in excellent conditions. Super recommend!

The horizon tourism is a great agency, super attentive and everything is easily resolved by whatsapp (neither were we at the agency). We left with all the tours already closed from Brazil and we did not regret it! Even I was able to change a ride because the road was closed in the day! I had height pain (light) and felt well assisted by them! The driver are excellent and the food wonderful! The only suggestion would be to put fewer people in the Van ( suddenly charging a little more expensive to be able to operate this way) since on one of the tours my husband was all squeezed and the routes are all long and uncomfortable! The backbands are very uncomfortable (but there are people who don't connect or only find out later). So if you care about comfort and be the last hotel to get caught on the journey you run the risk of getting in the worst place in the van! Another positive thing is that they make groups of each tour and share the guide’s location and arrival order in the hotels (which avoids long waits from other travellers). Agasalhem super for this walk, I went with two socks and snowboots and still the toes freeze (was the biggest complaint of all). We got 11 degrees less! I recommend being the last tour of the script as it is the most challenging of all!

We found by chance after a lot of research (to find a good cost benefit) and we did 2 tours with them: the geyser and the astronomical tour. Simply sensational, all guides demonstrated deep knowledge of the region, the history and provided details and support beyond expectation. A special thanks to the guide Ricardo who still took sensational photos of us (we were in a couple and it was difficult to have to take pictures alone) and who also guaranteed us a differentiated care on the astronomical tour because it was my wife's birthday. On the astronomical tour use laser and the story is a show apart!! If one day back to atacama, I don't think twice about choosing tours in the same place!!! Worth it all 👍👍

Hi! Yesterday 27/3/25 we took the tour with the Tour Connection a los Geysers agency, it was spectacular the place and the guide Lizo made the tour very pleasant, he knows a lot, he is passionate about what he does, he leaves time to take photos and we did not walk to the runs. If they take it, I advise going with him.

I would like to positively discount the comprehensive experience that the task force gave us. They met my expectations 100%. Firstly they arrived on time to pick me up at the hostel agreed. At all times they were delivering relevant information to the route, in different languages, so that we could all understand. I highlight the close, courteous, cheerful and dynamic treatment that the 3 team members had with the group. Regarding driving, Fredy, at, all times, drove carefully making me feel safe. For their part, the guides Leo and Ricardo always kept an eye on the needs of the group; taking photos, giving explanations, showing videos, resolving doubts, etc. Also, I stake breakfast, nothing pretentious, but with the necessary elements for a pleasant experience; good ground bean coffee and rich bread with multiple options (egg, palta, ham, cheese) and without forgetting a rich sweet detail: Queque, Delicacy, otter and fruit in addition to juices. Plus choose a place with a beautiful view to eat. I deeply appreciate the good treatment and affection with which they do their job and highlighted the professionalism of the team. I 100% recommend this agency, in this and other tour I took with them, they complied with everything agreed, with excellent professionals giving a very good tourism service. Thanks to Yván and Antonio we spent an unforgettable day at El Tatio geysers and salt marshes. Yván is an exceptional guide. He is obviously passionate about geology and wildlife, but he is also very good at conveying information in a clear and interesting way. The small “binoculars” to better see the birds (and fox) were very popular. Breakfast, prepared by Yvan and Antonio, and eaten in front of a beautiful panorama, was a bonus.

We made 3 trips with the Horizon and had an excellent experience. The first was the tour of red stones and highland lagoons, the second was the puritama thermas and the Third party geysers el tatio. The guides Marta (stones) and Iván Monrroy (Geyser) were amazing - gave explanations over the whole script, showed photos of the local animals, indicated places to eat, music, etc and were very friendly. We also like that the horizon provides cloth for the walks that has water and the food is very good. And no ride was delayed. We made tours with 3 different agencies in Atacama and they were the best cost benefit. We recommend!

Ivan's team is sensational. There is a lot of technical and cultural information about the region. Tour was wonderful and fulfilled as previously combined. I recommend Horizon for those who are in SPA.

Excellent experience with Ivan the guide, I took many tours of Horizon agency and met several guides, but Ivan stands out for the knowledge of the area the desire to teach and be able to express it in 3 languages. I asked a lot of questions and they were all answered and also with additional material that led to excursions such as books, encyclopedias etc. I hope you can convey this congratulations. Also I want to highlight the driver of the transfer, his name if I remember was Fredy, many other tours passed fast on our side but always our driver respected the maximum speed and kept calm. A different tour and worth seeing! The place is quite cold, you need to go with appropriate clothes! Our Chinese guide was wonderful!

Excellent walk we did in the Atacama Desert. The Geysers del Tatio park is a unique experience with landscapes very different from everything you’ve ever seen. After the park we will get to know a little more of the wildlife and flora, with more lush landscapes. The guide Iván Monrroy and the driver Fred are fantastic. Thank you very much Horizon Atacama.

The Horizon Tours are very good, it is difficult to compare them, but for me this Tour was the best of all. Knowing the Geysers is in itself a unique experience, but the privilege of going on this Tour and group made it another level. Ivan and his team started the day with energy and punctuality. Always clear, attentive to all details, resolving all doubts and always sharing all your knowledge generously. They were very educational and the translation was impeccable (I followed the story and always indicated the same in both Spanish and English 👏👏 ) I admire and stressed in Ivan, and through him to his entire team and agency, the passion and professionalism in his Service. They went overboard. I really fall short with the description of the experience, we went through the Geysers and landscapes, but they took it to the level of transmitting their passion for birdwatching and the entire ecosystem of the area.
