Full Day Tour To Ruta De Los Salares

We were picked up from our Hostel at around 7am. From there, we were taken on an amazing journey into the mountains and the salt flats! Our guide was engaging, always pointing out interesting features and wildlife, and providing advice for dealing with altitude sickness. Our driver was also a true professional! Breakfast and lunch were both delicious. I would say that you definitely should save this tour for later in your trip, to allow for some time to acclimatize to the altitude. My girlfriend and I were able to deal with it, driving from Antofagasta and only arriving in San Pedro the previous evening, though your mileage may vary. Overall, an engaging and breathtaking tour!

This tour brings you in de Andes volcano belt and we Foundation this very impressive. Our guide Franco and the driver Jordan did a fine job. Thanks also for sharing the playlist with the fine music we heard during the way back. The breakfast and lunch in open air were very good! You should know that you see less salt lakes but you got other beautiful stops that compensatie that totally. This was the tour we loved most!

The actual landscape of the salt flats and the views on the journey there and back were amazing . We set off by 7.30 but stopped about 9 for a great breakfast and photos at a viewpoint with a view of one salt flat and basalt columns sticking out of the desert sand. We stopped another 3-4 times over the trip at similar viewpoints of salt lakes with flamingos in some. Nico as our guide was humerous and very informative. Jordan our driver was clearly very expert on the steep roads and when overtaking. We were back in San Pedro de Atacama by 2.30pm and had a stop for sit down lunch in chairs by the volcano on the way back.it was a great lunch with hot chicken and rice with salad !

What an awesome tour with Michelle. This tour was so different and with all the cool landscapes and animals. Michelle was accomodating and engaging and even shared some of her personal story which added so much to the trip. Lunch was so good which is unusual for tour food. This was an awesome experience!

The guys who took us to the tour were super good. They fed us and were super knowledgeable. It was around 6h long tour. Guide spoke perfect Spanish and English we all were included. 1

Francisco gave us great info, took care to tell people to go carefully down sand and loose rocks. Took great photos of us.

Absolutely brilliant. so glad I booked with this tour agency. They delivered more than I expected. Fransisco was a fabulous guide. I was the only non Spanish speaker on the tour but he made me feel included and explained the geology and eco systems brilliantly. the trip was varied and interesting. the food was amazing

They appeared to have forgotten me, based on the order of collection sent out to guests on WhatsApp, so I sent a message reminding that I was waiting after I could see everyone was collected. When the bus arrived, the guide asked if I spoke Spanish, I answered "not at all". To which I was told it was not possible to come on the tour. He agreed that this was "really s**t"and rang his boss to organise a full refund. Unfortunately the tour was not running again before I was leaving San Pedro, and it was one that I very much wanted to do.

Pukarumi agency is an excellent and highly reliable agency in San Pedro de Atacama. They organized all of our tours impeccably. They always sent us communication in advance of the tours with all the details in three languages + the vouchers. Moreover, they sorted a complicated situation for me and I cant be more thankful. We can only thank them for the excellent tours and guides, we can fully recommend them. We had the pleasure of exploring La Ruta de los Salares with a very knowledgeable guide, Ulysses. His explanations were insightful and engaging. His enthusiasm for the region’s landscapes and wildlife was evident and contagious. He’s obviously invested in the past and present of the Atacama’s desert. He brought a high-quality telescope, allowing us to capture breathtaking photos on our mobile devices. One of the highlights was witnessing the moon rise over the ALMA Observatory—an awe-inspiring moment that was as special to him as it was to us. The tour took us through a quiet, remote part of the region, far from the usual crowds. The landscape was strikingly unique, with peculiar rock formations and eery lagoons with wildlife creating an almost otherworldly atmosphere. Many thanks to Caesar, our driver, who skillfully navigated the rugged roads.

So Nicolas was our guide!! What an amazing guy, really enthusiastic and very helpful. He is perfect bilingual and gives lots of explanation when we're visiting the different sites. Breakfast and lunch were also really good. Definitely worth the money. Don't doubt and reserve your ticket 😃

I signed up for the tour "Ruta de los Salares", and had Francisco as the tour guide, and Gerardo as the driver. Both were very caring for the group and fun, throughout the whole day. Fransisco as a guide is also very knowledgeable about the places we visited , and a very kind and fun person. Gerardo is a wonderful driver, felt safe. To top it up, they chose a magnificent place for the group to end the tour with a breath -taking view of the Licancabur volcano. ⛰️ I hope to be back soon and would sign up for more tours with them . Another beautiful lamdscape, with exotic views and lovely Animals along the way. Gabriel was a fantastic guide, with great knowledge. As always, snacks provided were excelent.

Amazing experience in the desert above 4800 m with a nice crew, and of course the best guides Francisco and Jordan 😀. After a fab breakfast we have seen many salt flats and beautiful landscapes. Then our guides prepared nicely our lunch in the middle of nowhere and pampered us to the fullest.

The tour guide Alex is really helpful, friendly and very lively… he explained with details all the visited points. Puka Rumi is punctual and reliable. It’s a great choice to lead the tours.

I did not have a good experience with the driver and guide (Julio-Cris) since they complained the whole way about the conditions in which they worked, about their colleagues, plus the driver went down a dirt road where he got stuck, we had to walk a lot in the hot sun uphill, the guide did not wait for us, from Jerez to the little town of Toconao he made us walk, then he did not give us an explanation, he left us there in the square waiting without an answer, until a replacement van arrived, by the way late, the other van was still in the sand. Cocktail, landscapes, and everything beautiful, but the above means it was not a totally pleasant experience.

Excellent experience in Atacama! The agency was very organized, punctual and careful in every detail, which made all the difference during the tour. Super recommend. Careful, polite, helpful and fun guides. Very good food. All perfect. I did other tours besides the Salar Route, and it was always great. Guides Francisco, Felipe, and Victoria are very cool. Everyone creates a group to coordinate the exits for the events, they are always punctual.

A pleasant trip, thanks in part to the guide who knew a lot to tell in both English and Spanish and played nice music. It was very cold, so having breakfast outside was a challenge, but the view was beautiful!

Excellent agency in Atacama. I booked several tours and in all was super organized, creating group before to notice schedule and organize pickup. The guides are excellent and lively and the cafes, snacks and lunches are excellent as well.

I took this tour with my boyfriend and it was absolutely wonderful. The guide, Anita, was very nice and kind and they took us to see magnificent landscapes. The tour included breakfast and lunch, both absolutely delicious. The driver also cooked some scrambled eggs for breakfast and meatballs for dinner. Amazing experience!! The landscapes formed by mountains, volcanoes and snow are wonderful. The only problem is not having bathrooms on the way. Our guide Christoffer and the driver Ronald were very careful and enriched the tour with various information.

Our guide was the Soraya and the driver Romeo, and it was all wonderful. Soraya was excellent, undoubtedly one of the best guides we had: very friendly, attentive and with great explanations throughout the tour. Together with Romeo, they prepared our breakfast and lunch with great affection. Both were extremely dear and caring. It was an incredible experience!

The lunch in front of the volcano would be enough to make worth the tour, but has all the rest amazing as well. We did with the guide felipe and driver patricio (if I'm not mistaken) and it was great! the two are super friendly, playful and explained everything, I could even see that they are real friends. amazing breakfast and lunch, prepared with a lot of affection!!

We did the tour with the guide Soraya and the experience was simply amazing. Besides an extensive geographical knowledge, she is extremely helpful and attentive, recorded beautiful photos of my family and, all the time, genuinely cared about our well-being. Another point that impresses is that Soraya is also a matrona, a kind of nurse specializing in obstetrics. We even had the opportunity to see her putting this knowledge into practice by promptly helping a person who went wrong during the walk a clear demonstration of their care and preparation. If you really like to understand the place you’re visiting from geography to history and biology, you’ll be in the best hands. It is also worth noting the impeccable hygiene and the incredible taste of the food offered on the tour. Without a doubt, they were some of the best meals we had in St. Peter.

The Atacama desert tours are already beautiful by themselves, but doing with guides was even better! They tell the story of the place and even help with the photos. Still has the food included which is a delight. All done with great care and care. I highly recommend.

A perfect agency! I made several tours with Pukarumi on my second time in Atacama and I guarantee: if I return, I will do anything with them! They are organized and punctual: the day before the tour they already warn the group about the hours and sequence of the hotels that will travel and the day they will inform where they are! Quiet walk, at altitude, we reached 4,800 meters. Nice guide, excellent driver. Great photos. The lunch with the view of the Licancabur volcano is a must.
