The driver will send your location in real time as you go to find all the participants to their respective hotels, after a 15 to 20 minute trip to the property, the team will guide them to the restrooms and deliver a blanket per person. Once you are comfortable, the guide will start a talk on astronomy and worldviews. After this talk there will be a cocktail to share and meet as a group, with hot and cold drinks. To finish the tour you will do two activities, guided observation through the telescope and the astrophotography session, the guide will find and show planets, stars, nebulae, star clusters and whatever is in the sky when you visit us, and the photographer will start the professional photography session that includes 3 photos per person ; to ensure that these activities are personalized, the group will be separated, if necessary, not having more than 8 participants in each section.
Beautiful experience, after days of cloudy weather we finally got a clear sky. Franco and Diego were great host. Knowledgeable, informative, drinks, snacks, and beautiful views. Must do if ever in Atacama.
Late pick up. If we didn’t call, I think they wouldn’t have picked us up at all. They were supposed to show up at 9 o’clock, I called at 9:10, they didn’t seem to know through provider that I have the reservation. They drove like hell to pick us up and then drove like hell to get us there. We had to experience, but if I didn’t call, I don’t think I would’ve picked up.
Absolute must-do in Atacama! The guides at Anderstellar are super knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and great at making complex astronomy fun and easy to understand. We loved peering through the high-powered telescopes, learning about Andean constellations, and warming up by the fire with drinks and snacks. What an experience!!! I came across Diego’s Instagram ahead of my trip to San Pedro de Atacama and was blown away by his photography of the Milky Way. I reached out about a tour and the process was absolutely seamless. An absolutely incredible experience! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The pickup was right on time and exactly at the agreed location. Our guide, Franco, was outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. His explanations about the constellations, astronomy, astrology, and local traditions were fascinating and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The cocktail was delicious, with excellent food, and the telescope was of great quality, allowing us to enjoy breathtaking views of the stars and planets. A special thanks to the photographer, Diego, who did an amazing job. The photos turned out beautiful, and having some of them already included in the package was a wonderful bonus and a great souvenir of the experience. Everything exceeded my expectations. We had an amazing time on our stargazing tour. The whole thing was so well organised from start to finish. Pickup was smooth and punctual. When we got to the stargazing site, blankets and handwarmers kept us warm while listening to the information. Franco and Diego were amazing and had so much knowledge and passion when speaking about the different constellations. The food and drinks provided were lovely and such a nice touch. We really enjoyed the whole experience and would really recommend it to anyone visiting Atacama!

From the time I've been in the Atacama desert. I had never felt such a beautiful connection with the sky, the stars and the constellations. My experience with Andestelar was wonderful. I noticed the professionalism at each stage of the tour. Franco was an excellent guide and professor of astrology, I could notice his passion. What an unbelievable experience watching the Milky Way with our own eyes in Atacama, made better by our tour operator! The night was perfect, our guide had great knowledge of the stars and shared it with us, showing us how to identify different constellations, telling stories. It was the most special and exciting experience of all tours that I did here in Atacama. Joaquim gave us a real class of astronomy, showing us the difference between shining stars, teaching us how to see our zodiac signs in the stars, and a real touching culture about the souls that passes thru the space, it was really profound and soul touching. Beside this, we could see Jupiter that was very cool! Joaquim make sure that everyone feel that magic and was into the experience. Diego, the photography master, helped me with the poses and gave me another opportunity when I closed my eyes without waiting to. He was guaranting that everyone was happy with their photos. And, at last but not least, the coquetel was delicious with some wine, mango sour, hot chocolate, tea, cookies, cakes…etc. It was my favorite tour of all!!!! The astronomic tour for stargazing was a very interesting experience! We had the best guides, Diego photographer pro 📸and Diegal🔭 the astronomy guide. They were knowledgeable, professional, friendly and greeted us properly (muy buena onda!). I really enjoyed the experience and had a pleasant time as they made us feel welcomed. Transportation was very punctual and comfortable, they welcomed us and everyone was very kind. The guide was very knowledgeable and was always dynamic with the tour. The cocktail hour is very complete; if you have dietary restrictions, they make you something special so you can eat, with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We had booked the astronomical excursion at Hostal Belén. Although we expected it to be pretty, it turned out to be much prettier and more endearing than we could have ever imagined. Diego and Franco not only shared astronomical knowledge and a vision of the religion and culture of the indigenous peoples of the area with us in a charming and easy-to-understand way, but they also, with some fantastic photos of the sky, ensured that we never forget this encounter with the Atacama Desert and the beauty of the southern starry sky, all accompanied by a delicious night buffet presented in a very nice and careful way.

One of the most pleasant and beautiful experiences in San Pedro de Atacama, being a Lickanantay woman I had the opportunity to accompany my Swiss friend on this wonderful astronomical tour, from the beginning the assistant Soledad was very kind, Franco was also very didactic and kind with his explanations regarding both the physics of the stars and telescopes, and the Lickanantay Andean culture, it is clear that he masters leadership and knowledge of the territory very well, which is something I value as part of my roots. An experience that I totally recommend if you are in San Pedro de Atacama. You can see the care and dedication that Franco and Diego put into every detail. The tour takes place in a very cozy place, which makes the atmosphere relaxed and different. Franco explains everything in a very entertaining and detailed way. Afterwards comes the photo session with Diego, who does a spectacular job capturing the starry sky, leaving a unique memory of the trip. Closing by sharing something to eat and drink while you talk under the starry sky makes the experience even more special. I totally recommend it!!

An incredible experience and one of the must-dos in San Pedro de Atacama. Franco explained everything in detail with very interesting stories and made the activity very entertaining. We were able to observe stars and see the moon up close! Diego, the photographer, took some incredible photos in which the Milky Way and the immensity of the sky can be perfectly appreciated. They remained as a unique souvenir of the trip to Atacama. Mind you, if you go in winter, I recommend you bring warm clothing because the temperatures drop a lot. At the end, they offered us an appetizer and hot drinks, which felt wonderful. Wonderful experience and different from the others !!! Highly recommended !

We, coming from Montevideo, Uruguay, do not have much altitude (max 500 meters), so that is special, and that sky!! It was an unforgettable and recommendable experience. Super recommended the astronomical tour. From the moment you enter the room is amazing and super comfortable, they give you a blanket to sit in the chair. The guide provides an in-depth explanation and asks you questions in a way that is interactive among all participants. After that, you make a break with a food board, my favorite drink the pisco sour. Finally they take some photos with the smallest photographer in all of Atacama. PS: one extra, the tour lets you use the telescope. Really, the best option is here ✨🙌🏼
