It was colder than I expected, but the views were spectacular when explained. I got bumped from a cloudy night to another night, so there were more people than would have been ideal. The explanations were laser assisted and the views thru the telescopes of proxima centauri were great (amongst other views). The guides helped get my phone to get a pic of the moon via the telescope. before the even i had learned how to use night mode on my phone and got a great pic of the milk way as a result - because i knew what i was looking at.

It's ok, I thought it was a serious astronomy tour but it is more about nice pics with the milky way behind, wine and snacks and some stargazing. All tours are like that though. No one is doing the very far away tours. Everyone stays about 10km from San pedro only and you still have the city glare. People were nice and passionate about it though.
This tour truly exceeded our expectations. Ilian was a very knowledgeable, experienced and passionate guide with an excellent command of English. We learnt a lot about the stars in the southern hemisphere. There was a varied assortment of sweet and savoury snacks. We went home with wonderful photos. To top it all, there was a little surprise act included too.
My main purpose of traveling to Chile this time was to do stargazing. So, I reserved 3 different stargazing tours for the 3 consecutive nights I stayed. This tour was a success, and the other two tours were canceled due to clouds. The team did a superb job in explaining what we could see and taking photos for everyone with a spectacular Milky Way background. This one tour gave me everything I dreamed of for this trip. Thank you a lot.
The expérience was Amazing. My friends and I are very Happy after this night. Thanks for all i highly recommend it !
A must do event. Scored 4 because the big moon lights up the sky, no fault of the organisers. Nonetheless fin, but suggest you look at the lunar cycle if you want a clear sky with no moonlight. Enthusiastic guides, but a late night. We had fun. Recommend. And you get great photos at the end, thank you
Tour company allowed us to book and contacted us 13 hours later (the day of) telling us there was no availability. Therefore we were unable to book an additional tour.
Nobody picked us up. We were just waiting for a call/email/whatsapp and no response. Requested a refund, and they rejected the refund as well. This is a scam, stay away
The sky was absolutely beautiful and the information was delivered well. Our group learned a lot about space. Tha pace of.going from station to station was a little quick, but I really enjoyed the tour nonetheless.
It was worth staying up late, guides were all very knowledgeable and photos came out beautiful and I loved them
This was an incredible experience that I will remember forever! Not only was the guide extremely knowledgeable but the variety of experiences were well organized! Truly took my breath away. Thank you Dave and team. ⭐️ 🌟
Brilliant tour guide, great telescopic equipment and a great buffet of treats and hot drinks to finish. We loved our tour and loved learning about all the stars we normally can’t see in our polluted city night skies.
I really enjoyed my Astronomical Tour, the guide was great and very knowledgeable about the stars and everything in the sky. It was a full moon and was still able to see a lot of sky. I highly recommend and make sure to bundle up because it can get cold out there at night.
We had an audio tour at the meteor museum but unfortunately it was a very cloudy night and it was late by the time the clouds cleared enough for the star gazing. As we had been travelling all day we opted to defer the star gazing until another night. Unfortunately the next time we tried it was also very cloudy but the operator refunded the cost of the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour operator as they were very helpful.
The sky was full of stars, it was amazing. Excellent explanation. The snacks provided were excellent, very good food quality.
Before arriving to San Pedro de Atacama, I was thoroughly excited about stargazing its night skies. Unfortunately, this tour didn’t live up to that expectation. The tour operator originally gave me a 30 minute window for hotel pickup, but it ended up being an hour of waiting for pick up. The tour operator only provided information about the delay once they had been contacted by my hostel. The tour is held in someone’s backyard. Even though there is a fence surrounding the backyard, it is right beside a road. Throughout the tour, multiple cars were driving by. Seeing their highlights certainly interfered with the “dark night” experience. We spent about more than half the tour listening to the guide speak, both in Spanish and English, about stars, constellations, and planets and then, pointing them out with his laser. There are two telescopes and we looked at about six stars and planets in total. The rest of the tour was spent taking individual and group photographs. There was a reception at the end of the tour, which actually was very lovely, where they offered drinks and snacks in a garden lit with lights and played music. The tour was advertised for 3 hours and I arrived back to my hostel around 2 and half hours later.
Cancelled one hour before the start time due to bad weather which I can understand, but would have thought they could have predicted this and given us more to make alternative arrangements for our evening.
It was a nice tour but it was way too expensive for what you get. I appreciate anyone that can speak multiple languages but the guide’s English wasn’t quite good enough to understand the detail of what we were looking at. Looking through the telescopes was good & there was a nice atmosphere after stargazing for pisco sours and snacks. We haven’t yet received the pictures that were taken.
First, the bus came one hour after it was supposed to. Then, the tour was supposed to be for English speakers but a few people in the group spoke only Spanish so the guide had to repeat everything in both English and Spanish making an already late tour take twice as long. Last, the scenery wasn't anything special. I'd have thought it would be like an amazing show but the sky wasn't even as amazing as what I see on a clear night in Vermont. The guide was knowledgeable and the things I complain of above were not her fault.
Star guide was very knowledgeable and helpful at pointing out the stars. There was plenty opportunities to see through the telescopes and take some pictures. The pick up/collection was very disorganised and confusing. The tour should have the snacks during the star gazing as waiting until the end made the tour go on much longer than required especially so late at night
We had an absolutely wonderful time! The accommodations were beautiful, the snacks and drinks were great, and there were super cuddly cats to top it off. I can only imagine how stunning the sky is in June-August, but even in summer it was fantastic. I appreciated all the background info given by our guide and I would love to know even more about how the indigenous people in Latin America understood the stars rather than the typical Greek mythology.
This was a bilingual tour. Since there were many more Spanish speakers, they got about 3 times more info than we did. Looking at the stars was amazing, food was good and transportation was fine
This was quite simply a mesmerising evening spent drinking local alcoholic drink called pisco sour (be warned, it is 40% alcohol) and talking about astronomy (not too seriously) with strangers and friends around the camp fire. Something you can't simply miss.
Very welcoming and homely, the night was conducted in Spanish and English. I learnt a lot about the universe and got to take away some great photos. On top of that we saw two shooting stars/comets! Plus the wine/bubbles were tasty. Thank you!
Very friendly and professionally run tour. We had our photos taken at the beginning due to a full moon which made sure we captured the beautiful starry night sky. Viewing Saturn and Jupiter through the telescopes was amazing, I never realised how fast they moved across the sky! Thank you for a lovely and memorable evening.
The night I went on the tour, visibility was limited because of the almost full moon, but Joaquin and Vicente do a really great job of explaining all the things you can see in the sky. I was able to take a look at some planets and stars on the telescope, and that was really cool. Blankets and a hot drink are offered at the start, and there is a cocktail hour at the end of the tour.
Good views of Saturn and Jupiter and of course the moon which was nearly full.Other stars aswell. Some wine and nibbles for afterwards aswell
Absolutely lovely! We were able to see so many stars since the location is so remote. I worried about being cold- but it was not an issue. I brought warm clothes and was immediately greeted with a warm drink. While we learned about the constellations and history of star gazing in the atacama desert we were given lap blankets to stay warm. The guide was so well informed and passionate about Astronomy which truly made the experience wonderful!
This was amazing! Joaquin and Vicente are incredibly nice and knowledgable, it was like visiting friends in their own home, Vicente took the time to help my fiancé set up for Astro photography and since he’d missed part of the telescope, Joaquin went out of his way to show him everything he had missed and some other stars that were not included. They welcomed us with hot tea or coffee and after the talk and looking at the night sky, they had wine, pisco sour and lovely nibbles and a gorgeous bonfire to sit around and talk, I’d have gone there every night, if I’d have the chance, I absolutely loved it and it’s a must! Well done, guys!!!
Very fun and a great guide to very good English. It was a near full moon so can't judge the star gazing! Drinks amd food after was fantastic.
The entire experience was exceptional and surpassed our expectations, catering for our family which included children both teenage and younger. The guide was very generous with sharing information including historical and scientific facts. The entire crew were so delightful & welcoming providing a gorgeous spread of snacks with beverages. Highly recommend this tour!
Incredible experience. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and I learned a lot more about Astronomy than I ever thought I would. Very sociable and friendly tour guides who were very generous hosts
Well organized. Guide made his introduction in Spanish and English. Introduced the sky objects and provided us 2 telescopes for detailed observation. Hot chocolate and snacks on site. Pick up and drop off to your hotel. Great tour.
Excellent experience It is very beautiful It is too cold, but I would do it again.
Amazing experience on the astronomical tour with the El Tatio agency! The Atacama sky is truly impressive, and being able to observe so many details with explanations was unforgettable. An indispensable activity for those who visit the region.
I can't get my refund information on the credit card, date of return of the astronomical tour cancelled by operator loca on 5/3/25
An incredible experience! Lots of information! Many discoveries and clear the incredible photos impossible to be taken from elsewhere due to the specificity of the sky and climate of Atacama
It's a waste of time, it was a photo section. I didn't learn anything a little cocktail. I didn't take any pictures. I thought they'd explain on screen or dome about galaxies
Very good! The Astronomical Tour is a very different experience. It's worth seeing. Totally different from other tours in Atacama.
A breathtaking sky! A thousand and one stelae, constellations, milky way... You can't take your eye off the sky. It's very beautiful. Furthermore, on the tour they provide resources for you to see with instruments - powerful telescopes - to see up close.
The tour was canceled two days ago and I still haven't received a refund!!! Trouble finding other options so close to the date and making the amount available without having received it.
The worst experience, beyond not being able to see the stars due to the weather, the two unprofessional guides... we started by seeing the moon and later Jupiter, the telescopes were out of calibration, they offered to take photos of the moon from our phones and everyone We stood in line when it was my turn, one of the guides started flirting with two tourists, having a long line to get photos of the moon, they just didn't care. They did not provide the corresponding snack and we had to wait 20-30 minutes for the transfer to take us back to the town, the guides at this place are totally ineffective.
This was by far the ride that I didn't think anything of because it was weak...but it delivered a lot! The guy who explained the solar system is passionate about what he does and puts a lot of passion into his explanations. They have telescopes that you think are ancient materials, as they are not giants but on the contrary are very technological. I loved it, without a doubt, super recommended, because the sky seen the way we saw it is beautiful.
The guide knew a lot about astronomy, the telescopes were very interesting and the cocktail was delicious. All the best.
Beautiful place in San Pedro de Acatama and very motivated, friendly, competent management of the evening (astronomy tour). Everything went very well, reliable organization, thank you very much!
The reality is that if you are already a connoisseur of astronomy, the astronomical tour is quite basic and they say that the guide is an "astronomical physicist", and you have to be lucky in finding an agency that really has photographers for a good photo since they do not They are all real photographers and only cover the photographic square. On the other hand, the telescopes are spectacular!! It is basically the best thing they have and the sky that can be seen from the shores of the town, which is where they have their equipment. ps: I had to pay more for another photo since the first one had turned out quite poor
It was the last tour of my trip, to end with a flourish! It's really beautiful, it's worth investing in a good agency - I had a friend who had a bad experience, I signed with Deyd in Atacama and I have nothing to complain about. The tour has a lesson part about the stars, with a telescope, a part about delicacies and wine and gives you the right to the most beautiful photo of your life. It's important to say that the sky is more beautiful on a new moon night, because the moon's brightness washes out the stars a little! Due to bad weather, our tour was rescheduled and we almost missed it, so we ended up going with the big moon, unfortunately.
Indescribable tour! We did with FlaviaBia Expediciones. A perfect organization from the beginning. Careful driver, the guide who welcomed us at the venue - Brazilian - gave a show of knowledge of astronomy. The telescope showed us Saturn! The sky is without words - a black cloak covered with stars. Laying chairs, with a poncho in each, give the touch of glamour. Finishing, a cocktail with cheeses and wine. In love! I don't have photos to put - it's not possible to take an amateur photo of that sky!
Magic night. Our guide, Manuel, super connected with the energies. We talked about astronomy, astrology as it once was. Clear sky full of stars and a lot of explanation. We saw Saturn and its rings, and many other stars. Appropriate music. I recommend
In the clear sky of the desert, we see the stars, the planets in a stunning way! Very interesting the explanations of the guide and well organized the excursion- impermeable!
