Pascal was amazing, he made us feel very welcomed to SMA and it felt like I knew him. Like a friend that you haven’t seen in a long time. What other tour guide invites to his home? The tour of La Aurora was great. Getting a chance to meet artist like Lucas, Kelley and Linda was fantastic. I have been to la Aurora before but never like someone like Pascal with “insider info”. I would definitely recommend the trip for those travelers looking for something different and “off the beaten path”. Pascal I wish you the best of luck my friend in all of your ventures. I hope this is not a goodbye but a see you later! ✌🏼

Absolutely fantastic! This is one of the best tours I've ever taken. The entire experience was perfect, ending with a fantastic meal and Pascal's lovely singing. It's a must in San Miguel!
Pascal was wonderful. He truly enjoys singing, art and food. He has a great sense of humor and we had so many laughs. This was one of our most memorable tours that we have ever done. We saw beautiful art and listened to Pascal perform beautiful music. The lunch that we had at his house was delicious. We would highly recommend this tour.
This is a 3-fer. You get the added benefit of a none pretentious art tour and lesson. We enjoyed the entire tour. The pace was just right, not rushed and not to much walking. There were also lots of opportunities for bathroom breaks. The music is like icing on top of a good cake. We highly recommend this tour.
We had such an amazing time with Paschal! He was very talented, down to earth, funny and took us to hidden gems in San Miguel. We learned so much more than just local history. He sang, told great stories and we ended up at his house for a delicious lunch. He even walked us to the taxi stand and let the driver know where we needed to go.
This is an experience not to be missed! Pascal is a master musician, host, and entertainer. We gathered on New Years Day and he first sang some songs and gave us a musical history lesson as well as audience participation which was grand! He then took us on a tour of the city where we enjoyed the murals and a section of town that I hadn't previously visited. We then ended up at his house for a delightful lunch and more music!! This was my second time going on a tour with Pascal, he is an artist that freely shares his talents with us and he is also a delightful person to get to know. We all had a great time!
Pascal sang! He played instruments! He talked about art! He hosted us in his beautiful home and served us an amazing home cooked meal! This experience was a great diversion into the musical and artistic culture of Mexico and San Miguel de Allende. It is great for small groups and families. Pascal’s gregarious personality makes him well-suited for this experience, and I can’t recommend it enough. Would consider doing it again just to hear some different dad jokes :)
This experience was fantastic!! Our guide, Pasquale, was insightful, expressive and musically talented. This tour was not just music. It was a walking tour of the back streets of San Miguel, an art tour, and an amazing food experience as well. Pasquale’s family prepared a delicious lunch and dessert for us, which was outstanding. Very highly-recommended tour!!
Wonderful experience with an exceptional story teller and someone who really has a deep passion for the artistic community in San Miguel. The music and stories were icing on the cake.
Our guide, Pascal was talented and entertaining throughout our tour of the music and art of San Miguel de Allende. Lunch was delicious
What a wonderful day with Pascal. He was informative and insightful and sooo talented! His voice was pure and beautiful and I was transported! Lunch at the house was lovely and Lupita’s cooking was delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone! Thank you Pascal!!
My wife and I loved this tour. What makes it so special is how personal and genuine it feels. Pascal, our guide, was not only a talented musician but also a warm storyteller who invites you to experience Mexico’s culture through sound, art, and food rather than just hear about it. The tour begins in the courtyard café at Fábrica La Aurora, where he shares and performs pieces of Mexican music that trace its evolution — from early folk traditions and mariachi to more modern styles. It’s both informative and deeply moving. Afterward, we explored the historic Fábrica La Aurora art center — once a textile factory, now a vibrant collection of working studios — followed by a short, scenic walk past colorful murals. The experience ended with a delicious home-cooked meal and the fascinating story of alebrijes, Mexico’s mythical dream creatures. It’s a truly thoughtful and memorable way to experience San Miguel’s creative spirit. Highly recommended!
A small unique intimate tour,. Pascal is very entertaining. The music & the food were fabulous! I very much enjoyed this tour.
What a delightful way to spend the afternoon! We had Pascal all to ourselves which made it all the more special. We loved hearing him play and sing—we even helped write a song (hahah, we only shouted out a few words to jumpstart the lyrics…Pascal did all the real work!). The tour through La Fábrica was a feast for the eyes, with the bonus of insider knowledge as Pascal knew many of the artists and gallery owners we met. Then we checked out a few cool murals in the Guadalupe neighborhood as we made our way to Pascal’s place for a fantastic lunch. He is so kind and funny, and a great storyteller. We left feeling like we had a new friend. Thanks for a wonderful day, Pascal!
Pascal was an engaging, talented guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I recommend for the traveler looking for personal interactions.
We joined Pascal for the walking tour on Wednesday April 16th. It was OUTSTANDING. He is a person of many talents who listens with intent and is very entertaining and knowledgeable. We loved listening to his guitar and songs in different languages (some of which are his own composition), touring art studios , a delightful walk in the Guadalupe area of town, viewing incredible murals, learning about the history of San Miguel de Allende, and laughing and having some fun as well. His music vocal voice is excellent as is his overall persona. This was followed by a delicious lunch at his home with massive credit and a thank you to the Chef Lupita. For a very different and delightful tour you cannot go wrong with this. And as an added bonus for me he turned out to be a huge fan of Pink Floyd as am I!
Pascal’s joie de vivre made this tour! If you want to go beyond the typical touristy activities, Pascal welcomes you into his life through story and song on his guitar. Meeting his art friends in the gallery and having lunch in his home made us feel like locals. What a pleasure to be with a guide that is passionate about San Miguel de Allende and being a Troubadour!
Spend the morning listening to music, browsing through art galleries, talking to some local artists and exploring some colorful neighborhoods. Lovely lunch with Paschal at his home. It’s probably the nicest tour I’ve ever done. Just a really lovely day.
I booked this tour based on the reviews and was looking for something unique! Pascal was generous, entertaining and very knowledgeable! The music , stories and artist chats were really interesting and fun and the lunch at Pascals home was delicious. Do it if you want a fun and relaxed afternoon in SAN Miguel it was worth every penny!
Entertaining and educational. So much fun!!!! Paschal is a very talented muscian/ entertainer and a very generous and accommodating host. It was a fabulous experience of music, art and food!
It was the perfect way to end our stay in San Miguel - music, artists, stories, good food. A music tour delight on a Sunday afternoon.
This tour is great for travellers wanting to experience local music, art galleries, a bit of history, a nature walk and a home cooked meal in Pascal's home. If you are not musically inclined this might not be for you as Pascal, who is very talented, tries to get everyone participating in the music and it can make a person a bit uncomfortable. We saw several art galleries where Pascal knew the owners and artists which was wonderful and provided enough information to make a person want to go back to Fabrica de la Aurora to see everything we didn't have time to see on the tour. After leaving Fabrica de la Aurora we stopped for some more songs by Pascal then headed out on a nature walk where Pascal explained some of the plants. We ended up at Pascal's beautiful home in Colonia Guadalupe, which was the highlight of the experience, for a traditional Mexican meal. There were drinks and a little surprise along the route.
What a wonderful introduction to SMA. Fabulous music (Pascal’s voice, guitar, and songwriting are rich and moving). Talented story teller, wonderful host and guide, and artist. Lunch prepared by a talented chef at his lovely home was a great finale. Thank you Pascal.
One of our friends arranged a tour with Pascal to the Fabrica la Aurora, an art gallery and former textile mill as well as off the beaten path spots in San Miguel. Pascal was amazing, he's such a great and entertaining host. We learned about San Miguel's history, met artists - he knew so many of them personally, toured beautiful galleries and admired local art, stopped in little out of the way places and markets and then had a wonderful lunch. Pascal has an amazing voice so we thoroughly enjoyed him sharing some of his beautiful songs with us. He's such a lovely person, you will really enjoy spending time with him and exploring parts of San Miguel you might not have discovered on your own. I would highly recommend any tour with Pascal. You will love the time you spend with him!
Passionate, engaging, and knowledgeable about Mexican and San Miguel history. Pascal is a wonderful singer/guitarist and a great ambassador for music and the local community. Loved meeting several local artists in their galleries. Tour ended at his home with music, stories, tequila, and a home cooked lunch. Recommended!
This tour with Pas al is one of the best tours tgst I took from Viator over the world . Super recommended .ine of a kind tour guide ! An expert in history and art ,beautiful voice ,don’t leave San Miguel without taking this experience ! And the food prepared in his home exceptional !
Pascal was a delightful entertainer and musician who was customized our trip to our needs and wants and was a thoughtful host. He introduced us to various interesting artists and gave us a slice of life of a true renaissance man who lives in a this beautiful Mexican town. He serenaded us with history and music while we enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal and insisted on walking us to the corner to meet our Uber. A delight!
What a wonderful tour! Pascal, our tour guide is such an interested character with the amazing personality and energy. We loved how he combined music with the history.Be prepared for lots of fun. Make sure you include this tour in your itinerary!
Nice mix of tour guiding through art museums/shops, music making, history of music and San Miguel. And a nice finale of an excellent home cooked lunch.
Pascal has a great voice and is a wonderful story teller! We're vegetarian, and he took that into account when coordinating our lunch. We had a wonderful time getting to know him and learning about San Miguel de Allende.
Pascual was amazing! We thoroughly enjoined our tour with this talented tour guide. He is an excellent tour guide, musician and entertainer. He excused us when we were late and after that it only got better and better. He toured us around town took us to coffees shops and lastly took to his home for a home cooked meal. What a beautiful tour! Highly recommend!
We especially enjoyed eating a home cooked meal in our guide's own home. That was very special. The route the guide led us along was interesting because we saw many plants and murals on walls.
We spent a beautiful afternoon with interactive music sessions, getting to know our intimate group, relaxing tour of museums, culture, artwork and history of the town! Very personable service. He had games & artwork to color for the 2 children in our group. We enjoyed our lunch with wine and his great musical talent.
Wow! What an incredible experience. Pascal has a great personality and includes everyone in the music and just makes it fun. It is a little awkward at first but becomes really enjoyable. Art walking was just a tad long but overall great experience. Good Job Pascal!
What a great time. We weren't sure how this might turn out but we were 'wowed' by the experience. Pascal is great! He is very personable, talented, and a genuinely nice guy. We learned a bit of history, viewed interesting art pieces (we were able to speak with several of the artists about their work), were serenaded with great songs, and finished the tour with a wonderful (gastronomic) lunch. It was definitely time well spent and we each were a bit more educated about San Miguel, art, food, and music as a result. Ron Kohl on behalf of Karen, Mike and Linda.
Music and lunch. Some more history and interesting tidbits would have been good. Great music and interactive was fun Fun tour.
This tour was fantastic. The info was great as was the singing and the lunch. We would go again for sure
Wonderful music. Great food. Beautiful art. I prefer not to say any more as that is the best I can do.
Toured Fabrica la Aurora, an art gallery and former textile mill as well as off the beaten path spots in San Miguel. Met artists, stopped in little out of the way places and markets and had a wonderful lunch. Throughout it all, Pascal stopped and sang traditional songs as well as his own music. A fun and unique experience.
Pascal was very personable and informative. He plays the guitar great and sings well! Lunch was awesome! Excellent musical experience!!
This tour was such an enjoyable experience. Jean Pascal has a warm and charming personality and he is very knowledgeable about San Miguel. The food was delicious and the music delightful. Definitely add this to your plans.
Our visit in San Miguel de Allende was made even more special by taking this tour with Pascal. Not only did we enjoy listening to his wonderful guitar music and lyrics, but we also enjoyed hearing stories and legends that inspired them. Pascal was attentive, warm, and friendly with a wicked sense of humor. And did I mention that Pascal is a marvelous musician? For instance, Pascal took us to Fabrica la Aurora, a renovated textile mill, where he sang a few songs and introduced us to many gallery artists. Our day ended with songs and lunch at a wonderful restaurant, Ojo de Agua. We highly, highly recommend this inspiring, fun, enlightening tour!
We had the most enjoyable day thanks to Pascal, listening to him play his guitar & sing, looking at art, enjoying his colorful stories and seeing beautiful sites. What a great day!
Pascal had great stories and we had a great time learning about the artists in Fabrica Aurora and some of the history of the music. He has a great voice and we had our two children with us and they got to participate in the music making.
Pascal was informative, quick-witted, and talented, showing us his singer/songwriter skills, instrumental diversity, and storytelling prowess.
Lovely tour with music, art and great food. Be prepared to walk a bit, the trip is 4-5 hours total. Pascal is a great guide!
The trip was great! Pascual was very lively, a great singer, and was very fun! He personalized the tour to my interests. He knew I wanted more walking, so he took me on a lovely stroll through the colonia San Antonio. He showed me beautiful murals. I’d 100% recommend this for anyone! El recorrido fue buenisimo! Pascual fue bien vivo, un cantor fantástico, y buen divertido! Yo le recomendaría 100% para alguna más persona!
We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day yesterday with Pascal. It is rare to meet such a talented musician, let alone get to spend the day with them. Not only do we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and music but the little details of SMA history, horticulture and art made it even more memorable. The music, food and storytelling was fantastic. Would recommend to all of our family and friends as an unforgettable experience. Not to be missed!
Pascal is a lovely human being, multi talented and gifted in his art. It was a delight listening to his singing and playing guitar and flute, taking us through the history of Mexico through music and storytelling. We highly recommend this experience. You will be glad you did!
We spent 5 hours with Pascal today and it was a fantastic experience. We learned a lot of interesting info and history about San Miguel, as well as Mexico in general. We heard some great songs and the lunch at 1542 was delicious. Very highly recommended by these two partners and travelers.
