An hotel that makes you forget unpractical and overpriced airbnbs. A lovely garden with typical mexican plants, a delicious cooking and an exceptional team. A panoramic view over San Miguel de Allende. Has a shuttle to go downtown.

A San Miguel Gem: Where Thoughtful Design Meets Genuine Hospitality Rating: ★★★★★ My stay at Albor San Miguel de Allende, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beautiful, meticulously landscaped grounds—every path and garden felt intentional, creating serene pockets of peace throughout the property. The pool and hot tub area became a daily retreat, perfectly maintained and inviting. Inside, the spacious lobby flows effortlessly into a welcoming bar area, ideal for evening cocktails. The restaurant is a standout: beautifully designed, with a concise menu that packs exciting, flavorful surprises. Every meal felt curated, not just served. Breakfast was included each morning and exceeded expectations—fresh, varied, and delicious, with both local and classic options to start the day right. My king room was generously sized, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing a spectacular city view that changed beautifully with the light. The WiFi was reliably fast, and the towels—large, plush, and fluffy—were a small luxury I appreciated daily. The bed and pillows? Absolute comfort; I slept soundly every night. One practical perk worth noting: the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to downtown San Miguel. Since the historic center isn't within walking distance, this service was invaluable—saving us time, energy, and the hassle of parking in the narrow, cobblestone streets. But what truly sets Albor apart is the staff. They don't just work here—they care. · Restaurant: Monica, Alex, and Alexy provided warm, attentive service, remembering our preferences and offering spot-on recommendations. · Front Desk: Javier and the team were efficient and genuinely welcoming, handling every request with a smile. · Shuttle Drivers: Alejandro and Pedro made every transfer smooth and pleasant, offering local tips along the way. · Housekeeping: Fast, thorough, and unobtrusive—my room was always immaculate. · Management: Luis, the manager, made a point to chat with us every morning. His interest in our comfort felt authentic, not performative, and it set a tone of genuine care that rippled through the entire team. I would absolutely stay here again—and I highly recommend Albor to anyone visiting San Miguel de Allende. It's not just a hotel; it's a place that makes you feel seen, relaxed, and valued.
We stayed here because we had a wedding near San Miguel, and this hotel y the perfect spot between San Miguel and the outskirts. Love the hotel rooms, spacious and have everything you need for your stay!
I stayed here this past weekend, and unfortunately had a terrible experience. I had $200 USD and 3,000 pesos stolen from my luggage after housekeeping entered my room. I immediately reported it to the front desk and hotel security, who inspected the room but couldn’t recover the money. The general manager said he would come in on his day off to follow up, and Hilton Corporate has opened a case that should be reviewed within two days. I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties before and never had anything like this happen. The location is nice, but the lack of accountability and security was very disappointing — especially at a property in the Tapestry Collection. I hope management takes this seriously so no one else has to deal with this during their stay.
As a long-time Hilton Diamond member traveling worldwide for over 14 years, I highly recommend this hotel! Recognizing it isn't in the heart of San Miguel Allende, which is obvious to anyone that can Google, it is still conveniently close to a plaza that has a Liverpool, movie theater and other places to eat within walking distance if you're willing to trek down a cobblestone path. It is super easy to get into town if you are driving, taking you right to Hwy 111 that takes you right to the city center in 12-14 minutes - a super easy drive with no steep grades and even has an overlook to get a spectacular view of San Miguel de Allende. There is even free parking at the hotel!! The style of the hotel is fabulous - brick and stone with incredible views. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and super comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary as a Diamond member and was absolutely delicious with fresh fruit and juice, the best coffee, and overall tasty. The best of everything is the service. From check-in to breakfast, everyone has been super friendly, helpful, and personable. I would recommend to anyone that considers themselves a world traveler, or even if you aren't but are someone that appreciates other cultures, to disregard any of those bad reviews. It's ridiculous to me that so many come to a foreign country and expect things to be like they are at home. If you don't like it, stay home. The staff and anyone else around are better off without you here. So if you love to travel and want to have a beautiful experience while visiting San Miguel de Allende, be sure to stay here!
