Absolutely phenomenal trip through the city. Driver was excellent and the guide was extraordinarily knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating for our group. We got to choose which spots we wanted to stop for and which ones we wanted to pass up. Van had the A/C blasting which was an enormous plus. Would certainly recommend this service for anyone trying to see parts of PR the average tourist bus wouldn’t be able to show you. Cannot speak highly enough of their service.

It was a very informative tour snd he even provided us with recommendations of things to do on the island. This tour was AMAZING!!! Angel is an incredible tour guide, and Annie expertly drove us thru narrow, crowded streets. We were picked up across the street from the cruise port and walked a short distance to the waiting air-conditioned van. The van ride was comfortable, and Angel told us story after story along the way, pointing out points of interest thru the Old City. We stopped and got out at several points along the way, and truly experienced the Old, the New, and the Now. I fell in love with the city that Angel is so passionate about, and have a much greater knowledge of its rich history. Highly recommend!

Angel and his wife run a wonderful family business, and they delivered everything we could have hoped for. They picked us up right on time and guided us through all the major highlights of San Juan, from the Spanish colonial era to the present day. Not only did we see the best sights, but we also received a rich history lesson at each stop, which added valuable background and context. We asked plenty of questions about the most recent hurricane and about Puerto Rico’s relationship with the mainland, and Angel gave honest, engaging, and thoughtful answers. At the end of the tour, we were dropped off at our hotel and given a business card and WhatsApp link in case we wanted to explore more tours with them. Angel is a walking encyclopedia on Puerto Rican history and culture, and he customized the entire tour around our interests — Old San Juan and the forts, the modern city, and a great stop at Plaza del Mercado where we grabbed fresh local fruit and a smoothie. Angel was an amazing tour guide! It was a private tour, and Angel really took the time to delve into the history of Old and New San Juan. His historical knowledge is incredible. Our favorite part of the tour was him describing the Altar de la Patria (Altar to the Nation). Angel really delved into Puerto Rico's history, and brought an incredibly nuanced take that my group enjoyed. You can tell Angel really studied and appreciated the history, because by the time we finished our "briefing" of the Altar, two or three other groups had passed us! This tour is for the groups who want an unglorified, realistic, and historical introduction to San Juan. Props to our driver as well, who navigated the narrow city roads expertly!

Angel and Annie took us first to Old San Juan, by the forts and through the historic cobblestone streets. We saw the original Spanish structures and learned their significance. Next was the expansion phase of the city out of its original walls centered on the Capitol. I didn't think I would find the 20th century expansion of the city as interesting, but Angel told us about the recent history of specific neighborhoods focusing on gentrification and the development of tourism, ending our tour at the modern convention center district. We enjoyed discussing his growing up in the city and what it is like to live there. A wonderful, personal two hours.

Fabulous 2-hr tour of exactly this tour’s title. Angel is a tour guide extraordinaire, a wealth of knowledge and great history buff. It was my first time here, and I have a huge appreciation for San Juan. I was here only one day, catching a cruise in the evening, and I’m definitely coming back for a longer stay next time. By far one of the best tours we’ve been on. We came to Puerto Rico to catch a cruise. We vacation every year and we always book excursions to make the most of our time while visiting new places, so we have been on hundreds of excursions. This tour is not your standard, corporate ran tour. This is a personal tour, like a friend showing you around their home city. Angel is so very smart, informative and knowledgeable. He explains the background and history in detail on what you’re seeing and is very proud of his homeland, and he should be. He made us fall in love with Puerto Rico. The tours were interesting, informative, and highly customized. We saw some incredible sites, shared some laughs, and learned a lot about the Island. Informative and interesting tour that brought us to a variety of spots in San Juan - all the big attractions and some smaller, lesser known, local spots that gave us an understanding of the unique culture of San Juan. We felt comfortable and safe and very well cared for! Highly recommended! Tip: do early in your stay so you get a lay of the land and can go back to any spots you want to explore more or revisit.

My husband and I have traveled extensively and in Italy our guide berated us for asking so many questions. Angel is the exact opposite. He will tailor his tour to your desires and encouraged us to interrupt with questions whenever they arose. We learned so much and enjoyed our time with Annie and Angel.

There is very little walking involved. The comfortable Ford takes you to each stop and allows you to take photos. Annie drives so Angel is always educating us and allows you to interrupt and ask questions. We learned so much about the history of Puerto Rico as well as the current political environment. Old San Juan is definitely worth seeing and we enjoyed every minute we spent with this couple. They are simply delightful and make the hours fly by quickly. We strongly recommend their tour.
