Ariana was great! She covered all the facts which was super educational and made the tasting portion fun. We ended up buying 2 reserve bottles too 😆
10/10 experience our tour guide was Romeo and we learned a lot about rum and the rums we tried. A little sad that when our tour was over we couldn’t get our complimentary cocktails but overall great.
The knowledge you gained about rum production is great. Please, please, please remember to bring closed toe shoes. They will turn you away.
Tour guide Amber is Grest! Wall thru was nice & very hot 🔥 Grounds are super nice & clean! Amazing time. Thanks Barcardi
If I can give less than one star, I would. The reason I’m giving it is: I booked the tour through Tripadvisor the day we embarked on a Princess Cruises at the end of July. Puerto Rico was one of the stops. But I had a reservation for a few days before. Just so you have an idea of the person I’m. I’m the kind of person that reads everything, I read all the reviews. I read every single thing that goes in the explanation of what the tour is or what to expect. So the morning that we get to Puerto Rico, which is the third day of our cruise, I get a text message from Bacardi Plus an email later on. Stating that they would not let us in the tour if we did not wear “closed toes” shoes. Mind you, we were already on our way on the Taxi to the facility. When we get there for our booked tour, they tell us the same thing. So I stated to the person that was receiving the paperwork that we had no closed toes shoes, and we wanted to do our tour. Then she goes to tell us that we could NOT go in. That it was an OSHA issue, and if we wanted to go in, WE NEEDED TO GO BACK INTO TOWN, AND BUY CLOSED TOES SHOES. And maybe we could get another appointment to tour the facilities. Mind you, we had to take 30 min and $40 taxi to the facility from the port. To say the least they refused to refund the $$$ because we needed to find out in advanced that you could not enter the facilities without those specific shoes. As I stated before nowhere in the site, on both places had anything regarding to having to wear closed toes shoes.
This was an amazing tour and I cannot say enough about our guide, Frances. She was knowledge, funny, patient and clearly loves what she does. We enjoyed each part of the factory tour but took great delight in the rum tastings. Outstanding!!!!
Natal was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and also made the entire experience lots of fun.
Really cool and informative! The tour guide was extroverted and nice. I loved doing the tasting in the warehouse and learning about some Puerto Rican history. Would go again with friends!
What a fun way to learn about rum and Puerto Rico! Only 4 stars because we thought we were doing a factory tour but it was more like a whole campus tour with a warehouse tour and then we talked through the rum making process vs truly seeing it. I still enjoyed it and the tour itself felt very put together and classy. Esther was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. Plus, the drinks were delicious!! A fun vibe for sure.
We had the pleasure of taking a walking tour of Old San Juan with Dr. Garcia, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Puerto Rico. From the moment we met him, it was clear that Dr. Garcia is deeply passionate about Puerto Rico’s history, culture, and people. His knowledge was incredible, and he brought every street, building, and historic landmark to life with fascinating stories and context that you simply wouldn’t get exploring on your own. What made the experience even more special was how genuinely kind and welcoming he was. He took the time to answer every question we had, never making us feel rushed, and even walked us back to our car to ensure we got there safely. That level of care and hospitality speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. If you’re visiting Old San Juan and want more than just a sightseeing tour, book a tour with Dr. Garcia. You’ll leave with a much deeper appreciation for Puerto Rico’s rich history and culture, and you’ll feel like you’ve spent the morning with a friend rather than just a tour guide. Thank you, Dr. Garcia, for making our visit so memorable. We can’t recommend this experience highly enough!
For the price, I expected a much more in-depth tour and a better look at the distillery and the rum-making process. Instead, you're only taken into a barrel room before moving on to a tasting of five rums. While the tour guide was extremely informative and knowledgeable, the overall visit was disappointing. I was hoping to see more of the production process. If I had known, I would have just paid for the tasting only experience.
Frances was amazing!!! She explained everything very well and she had a fun personality!! Would def recommend her as a tour guide and would do it again!!
The experience was one of a kind, provided great insight to the history of Bacardi and insight of the use of each type of Bacardi. France made the experience extra memorable.
Classy tour with for tastings. Beautiful facility with a great view across the water to Old San Juan. Our guide Maria had the perfect personality and energy to keep us all engaged and informed. A visit to Puerto Rico must require this stop. One bit of advice for Bicardi - do not bury the safety information. Closed toe shoes are required for the tour, yet this warning is buried in the small print after the dislaimer about opting in/out of receiving Bicardi promotional material. So, tourists in relaxation mode in flip flops be forewarned. (We had to make an unexpected 15 minute run to Marshall’s for sneakers.) Also, Bicardi doesn’t expressly say they will check ID, so everyone bring your ID.
The suggested half hour arrival prior to tour time is so a customer can purchase drinks and sit in the heat and wait. Then the operator hadn't given us the required wristbands for the tour. Tour was fine, samples ample but unable to retreive the photo the guide took in the factory. No phones or any electronics allowed inside. Kinda gimicky so you can't take your own photos since there were not any sign of explosure posibility inside.
We had a fantastic time on the maestro's tour. Our guide Nayel was knowledgeable, interactive, and provided an incredibly fun experience for all of us throughout each part of the tour, providing interesting info about each rum and some great recommendations for each. A must-do for anyone who enjoys learning about some of the history of the brand and about rum-making and tasting - thanks again Nayel!
I think is over price for 15 minutes extra inside a facility and a small taste of rum the maestro walk was around 105 dollars and the other tour is only 45 you get the same for less money, the tour guide was super good, friendly and made it fun, but there is little walking for a Maestro walk... they only walk you inside a storage room for about 10 minutes, the warn you and scare you about the heat inside, there is nothing to worry the place is ok and you dont have time to get hot as it only last less than 5 minutes, they take your cell phones away and they take photos for you to buy for x amount, again if you want to go is ok but i get the cheaper tour and would be the best way to spend your money
We got there early and had fantastic drinks. Nayel and Brianna were great guides and funny. I cannot wait to come back to Casa BACARDÍ. My only regret was not getting there even sooner to try the food and more drinks. See you soon!
This tour is fantastic but the fun begins as soon as you arrive. I’ve done several distillery tours over the years. Most start you in a museum or gift shop. This one starts with a day party. Guest services to the left bar to the right and a DJ keeping everyone moving. While you wait for your tour to begin you can sacrifice your token at the bar for a cocktail and grab a bite to eat. I very much suggest grabbing that bite to eat because there is rum tasting to follow. Your tour guide (We had Nyiel, I believe that is how he spelled it, was the best!) will let you know when it’s time and then you’re off to learn about the history of BACARDÍ and how their spirits come to life. This is filled by the rum tasting and then the gift shop where you can buy a bottle of your favorite rum from the tasting and have it engraved. Afterwards you can leave but you can also rejoin the party and have some more drinks. The choice is yours.
Me and my wife went and had an awesome time! Will was awesome and was very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend!
This was an okay experience and overpriced. Our guide is what made the tour better. She was very informative and vibe to be around. I personally would suggest doing the Mixology class instead.
A great and wonderful time. Had the best tour guide
The tour is worth it! Our tour guide Nayel was beyond amazing! He made our tour enjoyable and we learned so much about BACARDÍ rum! The rum tasting was so good!!
Great Time, Besides the Hot Warehouse, Suggestion- Should take pics before the walk threw so we wont look so sweaty. Francisco (Bartender) was Awesome, he was very knowledgeable about the different Drinks & Ingredients. Great Job!
It was such an amazing experience about how Rum is made and how long it has to sit to become aged
Expect a good time. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The property was gorgeous
It was a fantastic way to spend the day! We were treated and upgraded to the Maestros Walk from our Mixology Class Tour. My hisband and I and three kids18, 19 and 20 all had a wonderful time relaxing and sipping on drinks in the pavilion, enjoyed our trolley ride of the grounds and warehouse and had a momentous time sampling the beautiful rums of Bacardí. We spent another hour or two after the tour hanging out in the Bat pavilion sipping on drinks and enjoying the beautiful day! Thank you for a fantastic time! An absolute highlight of our trip for sure!
Great atmosphere, tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. The tasting was an experience…the lady in the tasting room was fantastic!
So much fun! Would definitely do it again. Rum tasting was a unique experience. Guides make it entertaining and educational.
Our guide Maria was wonderful & engaging, with lots of great tips to share for the best way to mix different rums and what to pair it with. The tour itself, however, was a tad underwhelming. The tour of the area itself lasted maybe five minutes, and then we spent the rest of the time in a room. I’m not sure what I expected, but I guess a little bit more walking around and touring areas while doing tastings. Sitting in a windowless room for most of the experience was a little bit disappointing. Nevertheless, it was still fun to learn more about BACARDÍ’s history and try some of their signature rums - don’t get me wrong!
I visited Casa Bacardí during my trip and had such a great experience! I booked my tour last minute and ended up missing my original time slot, but the staff was incredibly helpful and quickly got me rebooked for a later tour. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, which immediately made me feel welcome. I went solo, but that didn’t last long. A random group I met bought me a shot, and I ended up meeting some really amazing people throughout the day. The staff also recommended a meal for me, and I’m glad they did because it forced me to eat before I started drinking lol. The food was delicious and definitely helped me pace myself. One of my favorite parts was meeting a wonderful woman and her husband. She was celebrating her birthday too, so we instantly connected. We spent time taking beautiful pictures together and made some great memories. The gift shop was amazing, and I picked up a few things for myself and my family. Between the drinks, the food, the people, and the atmosphere, the entire experience was a highlight of my trip. Honestly, the photos came out so good they should put us in a Casa Bacardí ad and pay us lol! Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Puerto Rico.
What an amazing experience. We were the 1st group to enjoy the Maestro’s Walk tour. Will and his staff were outstanding and very knowledgeable. I learned so many things I did not know about rum making and got to taste some delicious rum!! The grounds are fantastic, including the welcome reception area. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. What I will always remember is how passionate Will and staff are about their company and rum making, they were the perfect hosts. Definitely add this to your list when visiting San Juan!!
I would give the experience a 100 if I could. Our tour guide Adrian Rivera was amazing! He made great recommendations and was so knowledgeable. So much so we had to come back for their mixology tour. They have a new tour called maestro which you have to book!!! If you’re coming to PR you HAVE TO come to casa de bacardi!
Adrian was amazing with all! Great experience . Good music, energy was infectious and loved the history of Bacardi
It was great. A friend said Mitchell was the love of her life. Jeremy was awesome! Very fun and safe!
If you’re visiting Puerto Rico, BOOK IT. And make sure you do the class with Maria!!! ✨
It was awesome!!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the rum we tasted was great, especially the last one.
Very informative the guide was good and knowledgeable. Everything was very clean and everyone was very nice.
We really enjoyed the rum tasting tour, very informative and fun! We stuck around for lunch and the food was also great!
Amazing experience! Happy to learn about the Bacardi legacy and our instructor Nael was the best! He gave us amazing knowledge about the brand and the history! Made a Bacardi fan out of us!
The experience started off well with a few drinks, and then we took a tour of the outside facilities, we were then brought into a very nice room where we spent the remainder of the tasting/tour. It was very informative but for the price, it was just not worth it. We got to try 4 small samples but that was it. Honest opinion, not enough rum sampling for the price.
Great opportunity to learn about rums. Maria was very informative. Beautiful property. Would have loved to see the Bat Cave!
I had alot of fun on the tour and got to taste some types of Bicardi rum I've never tasted before.
The Casa Bacardi rum tasting tour was a delightful experience that truly captured the essence of rum-making. The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly the opportunity to taste four distinct rums, each with its unique flavor profile and story. Our guide, Romero, was exceptionally informative, sharing fascinating insights into the history and craftsmanship behind each rum. What stood out was Romero's creative suggestions on how to use rum beyond mixing drinks; he provided innovative ideas for incorporating it into cooking, which added an exciting dimension to the tasting experience. The combination of rich history, expert guidance, and delicious rum made this tour a must-do for anyone visiting Bacardi. Highly recommended for both rum enthusiasts and newcomers alike!
Our tour guide was great. We were just in a group where there was a lack of etiquette. They were loud on the shuttle and over talking the instructor which took away from the experience.
The waiting area where you wait for your tour to start was very beautiful however the tour itself was horrible the trolly had this loud vibration noise and I could not hear anything our tour guide was saying. I went for the history Bacardi and learn nothing .The tasting part was ok as well as the tour guy explaining each liquor was good.
Fun laid back tour. Probably best to remember to eat something before the tour. You will be drinking great rum.
The trolly ride was amazing, we all enjoyed our adventure and we would definitely do the mixology next.
This tour was a gift for my son and his wife. They had a great time and enjoyed it very much! I would recommend this tour if you’re visiting the island.
