Snorkeling Sea Turtle Experience

My young teen and I enjoyed this experience. Our guide stayed with us for about an hour then left us on our own to snorkel in a very safe place.

Great Experience, Very Beginner friendly, great host, would suggest to anyone with a couple of hours looking to snorkel

Our guide was friendly and helpful, but the overall experience wasn’t what we expected. The tour ended up being about an hour of continuous swimming and was more strenuous than we anticipated. We had considered bringing some older relatives with us, and I’m really glad we didn’t. Seeing a manatee up close was incredible, and I understand that you can’t control what wildlife shows up. Bur aside from that one amazing moment, we spent most of the time swimming against the waves without seeing much else, so the experience felt a bit lacking overall.

While it seemed like a better idea than a boat-based snorkeling trip for my often motion sick family, this was a tough excursion. Do not recommend for anyone who is not a strong swimmer, as the waves and tides coming off the ocean make for a challenging swim.

Very sad. Was really looking forward to the tour. There seemed to be confusion regarding the equipment at first. Asked for half mask and was handed one without a breathing tube and was told they didn’t have a tube. My husband then spotted one and fixed it to my mask. Finally started making our way into the water and were quickly left behind. We were swimming with children who started panicking at being so far behind. This would have been fine if there was warning that this was a bit more of a fast paced swim so drop out if you can’t hang. I would have not paid and moved on. Two out of five of my family stayed. Only later did our guide realize that some of us didn’t make it. I keep wondering where the “tour” part of the guided tour was. I understand that some friends of ours went on this tour with different guides a year ago and had a great time. I wasted a bit of money today and had some sad children.

We had a great time! Justin was excellent and kept telling us we could stop and turn around at any point. Surprisingly my nieces (11 & 16) kept wanting to go further. This was definitely more of a swim workout rather than a leisurely snorkel off a boat lol but we all enjoyed, the fish were beautiful and it was definitely a great experience

This was a very fun and unique experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. My kids had a wonderful time seeing all the different sea life.

Justin was the perfect tour guide! We had an 8 and 10 year old with us and he was very attentive to our needs. He made sure we all felt comfortable and confident before we ventured out and he was very knowledgeable about the area and the sea life. I was able to make priceless memories with my family and I would highly recommend this experience!

Zavick was amazing he helped us with everything. This is great for beginner snorkeling. The water felt great and you got to choose how far you wanted to go.

Great tour! Elizabeth guided us through the bay looking for aquatic wildlife. The area we were in was not very deep but there are areas with a strong current.

To start off I want to say Justin the tour guide made the experience 100 times better I will highly recommend doing it if you’re going under his vision, he made sure we were safe and knew what we was doing and made the experience fun I would definitely do it again

Justin was so polite, nice and truly a pleasure. My daughter really wanted to see turtles and he made it happen ! He made us feel so comfortable and it was all we expected and more ! Thank youuh

Joshua did a great job leading us on snorkeling. He took us out into the lagoon and explained to us what we were seeing. He was very positive and patient.

Josh did an excellent job leading us and taking us on the tour. He helped with equipment and gave us guidance that helped us navigate through the deeper areas in the lagoon.

Had a birthday celebration complete with snorkeling. Saw a turtle, played games. So fun! Jasmine was AMAZING!!! Book with her!

Justin H. Is an excellent guide- showed us lots of fish, sea turtles, even a barracuda. Knowledgeable, took great care to explain and guide us. Mom/daughter excursion. He was amazing!

It was a great experience. I was very nervous because I felt weird with all the equipment on. My boyfriend had a blast. We ended up doing kayaking as well so I can have a better experience. Elizabeth was very claming and encouraging.

Yeriel was great! For us beginners, he helped us properly breath and swim, making our experience so much more enjoyable.

I would not reccomend this tour. The water is muddy and shallow, and I did not see any turtles. We followed another company's group around that seemed to be having a great time, I did not feel like my tour guide was properly trained or experienced enough to operate this tour.

Sadly, we were unable to attend our scheduled tour due to one of our party becoming injured and needing emergency care just moments before we were to leave our hotel to participate in the tour. I attempted several times to contact the tour operator to no avail and, despite the emergency situation, Viator was unable to refund our lost expenses. While I'm sure the tour was great, I cannot offer a great review. Perhaps if they had responded to my attempts to contact them at least, I would gave been able to do so even without being recompensated.

It started off a little rough for me then it got worst. No fault to Yuriel, but because I couldn’t get use to the breathing. Yuriel did his best to make me comfortable even changed his personal mask with me. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me, lol. On the other hand my gson had an awesome time exploring. Overall we had a greatime.

Our experience was amazing and I’m not just saying that because we went snorkeling or it’s just what you want to hear. It was truly great. The front desk when we got there probably could’ve been more attentive or polite but we weren’t even in there very long. The only thing we were basically guaranteed was to see fish and we saw all kinds of neat ones and even those are exciting to see! We saw two sea turtles six starfish that we got to touch! A sea urchin barracuda a ton of those rare big conch shells, jellyfish and everything was beautiful. Our tour guide Justin would check in at the perfect times making sure we were doing alright and asking how much more we would like to do. We were the only ones who booked at our time and we were treated with so much kindness and respect by him. Seeing how beautiful that life under the sea is, nothing compares. We are so thankful for this experience and we hope to do it again soon!

Our tour guide was Justin and he was very knowledgeable and helpful during re snorkeling excursion. We even got to see a manatee not too long after getting into the water. I definitely recommend booking an experience like this while in the San Juan area.

Christopher took us on a great snorkeling trip near the bridge and underwater man-made reefs of condado bay. Check-in was easy and we actually started our snorkeling trip a little bit early. After helping us get our equipment on, Christopher pointed out schools of blue tangs, let us touch starfish and kept us cool when we encountered a large barracuda. Christopher allowed us the option to snorkel with or without life vests, since we are all good swimmers. We chose to use them so we could swim the entire 90 minutes without getting tired. Considering the current around the bridge, I would make that same choice again. Would absolutely recommend this!! All of us (two 50s-age and one 19 year old adult) had a great time.

Justin was the goat!! Loved seeing the turtles and sea stars. Great service from the office staff and very easy to get started.

Simply AMAZING tour a few weeks ago with Justin. He was super knowledgeable about the area and showed us incredible sights in the lagoon. It’s was the best snorkeling tour I’ve ever been on, hands down. They best part of the tour was Justin’s kindness and patience. He is truly an incredible guide and I would recommend him to any group. Call and book with him specifically!! At the end of the tour he gave is a list of local reccomendations that were fabulous.

Justin the instructor was amazing. We were fearful in the beginning, he was very patient and kind with us. It was a great opportunity that we would definitely recommend to others and do again. Regardless of your ability to swim or level of swimming this is a great experience

Justin was amazing. He knew so much about the eco life, safety and the water. He was so personable and relevant to the culture, he also made provisions for members of our party who weren’t as comfortable with the water. Everyone, regardless of swimming ability enjoyed themselves because of his service and hospitality. When we come back we will be coming back to take a tour with him.

This tour was exactly what I was hoping for! I love that it is accessible right off the main road - you save so much time just being able to hop right into the water. Justin took me to a few different types of spots - open water in the lagoon, closer to the open ocean, and under the bridge. We saw some awesome fish and he was great about calling me over to see cool stuff he found. He also recommended some nearby options for food and sightseeing after the tour. 10/10!

They don’t care about your safety at all. We were convinced of our safety and talked out of wearing life jackets as we were told we could stand. Almost immediately we got swept back by the current and separated from our tour guide. He assured us the current was going to die down and we would be safe, but we were not. As we continued several members felt fatigued from swimming against the current and it took several attempts of yelling help before any assistance was provided. The current then swept us out even further to the point where we had to climb out of the river over a bridge with the help of locals. All members of the tour were bleeding by the time we got out. If the locals were not there on the bridge, our guide would not have been able to have gotten us out of the water. Our guide then made us walk back, covered in blood and offered us a complimentary bottle of water. This is clearly a cash grab and they do not care about your safety. We had to specifically ask for a first aid kit while bleeding all over their floor.

Our guide was delayed & company efficiently reached out via phone & text prior to arrival. They accommodated us with snorkel gear & showed us how to do a self-guided experience, & we saw starfish, fish, coral, etc… it was great! Best part: we got a partial refund in the end… awesome customer service!

The guide was kind fun sights and very relaxing we had Ezra who was chill and kind had good sights and was interesting. It to hard for children and it was unique and had different fish and many cool sights

As a first timer, I was a tad intimidated but found my fears to be unfounded. This experience was top notch. The weather turned cloudy and the water was choppy. Fortunately, my guide (yes, I had him all to myself), Joel, was awesome!!! He directed me to several areas where the tropical fish activity was abundant and we spotted at least 3-4 turtles, some babies and teens. Thank you Joel, this activity would not have been the same without your patience and skill; you captured the highlights beautifully - can’t wait to share the videos and pics with my family. Very much appreciated and would recommend to beginners and skilled alike.

10 out of 10 experience. The tour guide was beyond patient and made the entire experience comfortable. I’m not a super strong swimmer but I really didn’t need to be and I didn’t even have to wear the big life jacket, just a waist floatie. He took it slow, made sure we were good, pointed out marine life and talked about the ecosystem. The current was really strong and it exhausted me at times but he was right there to make sure we were safe. Would definitely do it again. Highly recommend!

We went snorkeling with Michael and he was great. We saw so many things and he made us feel safe in the water. The company was professional and centrally located. I would recommend them for any activity.

The details of the tour indicated that we would be encountering Turtles, Starfishes and Manatees. As a result, we booked the tour to ENCOUNTER the animals. We saw two starfishes and fishes among the corals. When we inquired about the manatees and turtles we were told that we won’t be seeing any. At this point we were upset and disappointed and proceeded to end the tour earlier than expected. We got out of the water, headed to their offices to return the gear and go on our way! Very disappointing! We chose this snorkeling tour over others based on the description and details of the tour.
