Really enjoyed this tour. Guides were great and good way to see more of Puerto Rico. We would recommend this

It was very exciting and the exercise was great! Loved the view of Old San Juan and the other places we saw along the way. The inclines were steep but not too much to handle! Our tour guide was sooo sweet and we had fun!
We had an absolute awesome ride today. Our guide, Mr. Francisco, is the Greatest. He is so knowledgeable of the area and the culture.
My wife and I were fortunate enough to have Francisco to ourselves for the two hour bike ride through downtown and old town Puerto Rico. Francisco is a great guide, showing us the main sites while assuring our safety as we rode through narrow streets. Our strongest recommendation for this tour with Francisco is obvious! Thank you again for a great experience.
Wonderful, relaxing tour of old San Juan. Tour guide was great and very informative. We had so much fun as a family. It was the perfect length, highly recommend.
We had an amazing experience on the small group bike tour in Puerto Rico with Francisco. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and shared so many interesting insights throughout the ride. Francisco was also extremely kind and accommodating, especially with my mom who is a senior and needed to stop frequently. He never made us feel rushed and made sure everyone was comfortable the entire time. We traveled all the way from New York, and he truly made us feel at home. Honestly, I would give this tour a thousand stars if I could. I would recommend it to everyone without hesitation, and I would absolutely do it again on a future visit. Francisco is top tier!
Tour guide was polite and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about Puerto Rico’s history and got to see a lot of historical statues and artifacts. It was a fun workout too :) it’s an important trip to learn about how everything in latam started here essentially. Everyone needs to take this to learn it.
Our tourguide was the best! His knowledge of all the places on the tour was great. The bike ride was fun and all abilities can do it
Despite being booked on Viator 3 months previously they were not expecting us. There was a problem that their booking system hadn’t synched with Viator. They tried to find a guide for us but couldn’t so we hired e-bikes instead - which were good. However had been a nuisance to get to that location for that time. Very disappointed
Darien was a terrific tour guide and showed me all the beautiful views around San Juan. We'd ride for a while then he'd stop and give some historical background of certain places. So gorgeous & the very best way to experience this amazing place up close. Thank you, Darien! (Also, Jose was wonderful at check-in and gave me a warm welcome.) I'll recommend VIP Adventures to friends for sure!
We rode from Condado to the highest point along El Morro. It was beautiful. The guide knew the good routes! He communicated clearly, and we always felt safe. Im over 60 and have a bad hip! I was worried I couldnt get up those hills! But it was fine! And FUN!
Our guide, Darrien, was great. Ended up being just my husband and me. He personalized our biking destinations based on where we had already been or not been. He knew the history and was very charming.
The tour was great and informative. It was nice to explore the island on bike via foot since we were able to cover more ground.
Wonderful experience and great guide. Would definately do the bike ride experience again. Delightful sights to view
I had such a great time on this bike tour. I ended up booking last minute and was the only person in the tour on Thanksgiving day and it ended up being the perfect little adventure in Old San Juan. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to get in some exercise while seeing the beautiful city.
Definitely should have saved our money & not done this. Did the 9:30am tour, the guide didn’t really greet anyone from what I saw. 3 sets of ppl booked for a total of 7 plus the guide. We’re standing there for a bit & he’s messing with the bikes clearly not ready & not really saying anything. After over a 1/2 hour he comes up to a couple & says I don’t have enough bikes & you will have to wait until I come back from this tour to do a tour because you were the last that booked this. What a waste of their time!! The bikes are cheap, old & each has their own issue. Breaks not working properly, kick stand busted, tires being 1/2 flat. We head out & there was zero change in guide’s attitude. He clearly did not want to be doing this. I’ve done bikes tours all over the world & I’ve never had a guide that was so unenthusiastic on top of not saying anything. The points of interest he took us to are not off the beaten path & are all easily accessible or seen from the road. At each stop zero history or information was given just an offer to help take a photo. He would sit off to the side & use his vape as we looked around. There are so many tours here save your time, money & book something else.
This was an amazing day. Hassle free, no worries, just biking and enjoying the sites. Our guide Darian did a fantastic job of ensuring we were safe and able to explore carefree. Book the tour!!
Truly, one of the best tours of a small city that I’ve taken. I learned so much about the geography, history, architecture, and religion of the local people of Puerto Rico. The bike ride was fairly easy, and my guide. “Dariàn” was extremely knowledgeable and kind. The tour was conducted in Spanish for me, but I did note that he speaks beautiful English as well! I would highly recommend this bicycle tour to anybody of all ages. Being almost 65 years old, I no difficulty keeping up with the pace of the ride. Kudos to this wonderful company and to my guide Darien.
Damian was a great tour guide. The bike tour is a bit strenuous going up and down hills. The sunsets early in PR, so if you book a 5PM tour, be aware that you will be riding at night. Unfortunately, riders dont have reflect vests nor are there reflectors or small blinking lights on the bikes.
Awesome experience! Although, it was a little stressful trying to locate where the tour began. According to the Viator booking, the meeting point was a white tent before the bridge at 860 Dr. Ashford Ave. There was no white tent before the bridge and they weren’t located at 860 Dr. Ashford Ave. I sent a message to the company via Viator app asking where the meeting point was. They responded the day after our tour with,”We are located in Building 864. Right in front of The Condado Plaza Hotel.” Si, just a heads up that the meeting point address is wrong on the Viator confirmation. Once we located the meeting point and had our bike tour, we were so glad we booked this. The actual bike ride was about 4 1/2 miles on a single speed bike. Our guide, Jorge, was great and he brought us to many different points to take pictures. It was a beautiful ride on a gorgeous day. Expect lots of ocean views and to see the charming city of Old San Juan. I highly recommend.
Our bike ride with Justin & Josh. They were full of expertise & history. Make sure to bring plenty of water. Although our excursion was in November at 9:30am it still got HOT! You will have to be comfortable riding a bike. Helmets are not worn and a small part of the ride you are closer to passing vehicles. It will also be helpful to be an active individual but, there are breaks a long the way.
The only reason I’m not giving a 5 star review is due to the fact that there were minor issues. 1). The description of the meeting place was completely wrong and it took us 5 panicky minutes finding it. For example it said white tent and there wasn’t a tent. 2). They did not have me registered. Fortunately, I had a confirmation email. However, the guide was exceptional, the ride was a mix of beautiful vistas and amazing history and I found the bike easy to ride.
The tour itself is amazing just don’t forget your sunscreen. It takes you all around while passing many fun sights. My tour guy was great and very knowledgeable, the ladies that work in the office is a different story. The bikes have an old style and ARE old, the breaks/pedal’s don’t work properly. The way the handle bar is made my wrist hurt a little, these bikes can use some new parts.
Our bike tour of Old San Juan was perfect. The tour guide Justin was very knowledgeable of the island and its history. He was patient as we stopped for photos and to take in the island’s beauty. Personable and professional. Thank you VIP Adventures for an exceptional experience.
Justin was a wonderful guide and an even kinder human being. He offered personal touches like photos, video ideas and recorded shots for us. And when we had a small medical emergency on the tour, he went above and beyond. He was such a professional and we felt very fortunate to have his assistance. Thank you, Justin. We cant wait to come back to PR and tour with you again.
The tour was excellent, thanks to our tour guide Justin. He made sure the experiences was well met, and safety was priority.
Was a great experience. It has been awhile since I rode a bike but our tour guide Mike made it easy to remember. No issues I would do it again and tell anyone willing to listen to do it as well
The tour was good 😊 took many pictures me and my wife. Tour guy Brian was great showing us around. What a wonderful experience
Darion was great, couldn’t have asked for a better experience! He was very knowledgeable and easy going. AsèO
Justin was super knowledgeable and really chill and Jasmin was super helpful!!! Awesome time!!!! Lots of great photo oops and amazing scenery!!!
Justin was an amazing tour guide! He was very accommodating to all persons in our group and very knowledgeable about the area and sights to see. He gave us great suggestions for our trip. All-around nice guy!
Magic Mike was great. Very informative and fun! We got to learn a lot about the island and Old San Juan. Get ready for an adventure.
Michael (Magic Mike) was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He offered us a guided bike tour to the Old San Juan. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you.
We went on a group bike ride for my friend’s 40th birthday. There were 7 of us including the tour guide. Bryan was a phenomenal guide! He had great customer service, very hospitable, made sure we were safe and educated us on the surrounding areas. We took great photos. The scenery was beautiful! The ride was a bit of a workout if you are not very active but we stopped to take breaks every 5-10 mins. I really enjoyed this adventure. If you come, ask for Bryan!
Our tour guy Edu was amazing he went above and beyond he showed us others areas on our tour. I can honestly say it was indeed a VIP tour experience. He showed us a lot of history areas and volunteered to take pictures of me and my daughter at different historic spots and then took a couple of breaks along the way. He was patient and not rushing at all.
Nice place to bike. Compared to other bike tours I’ve done there was not much info offered by guide.
Yesterday we went on this bike tour and it was the worst experience because of our tour guide. To add, the condition of the bike was horrible. Every time we went over a bump the seat would lower. Something was on the handles of the bike that we could not get off our hands. The tour guide went very very slow that it was very difficult to stay behind her keep the momentum. After going up a hill we asked to stop at the capital to take in the sights. She told us then we can go back. She could not share anything about the monuments or sights. She was able to tell us the building was the capital though. She rode right by the National Park and had nothing to share even though your site says a few stops will be made to see closely the architecture and monuments of the walled city. When we got to San Juan Park she said it was the end of the tour and that we will be heading back. We asked if she had information to share and she said the “houses were old”. She stopped many times to drink water even though she saw we did not have any. When heading back she rode very slowly behind us listening to music. We made our own stops to take photos and look up information as she could not answer any of our questions. We have taken many tours during our travels and this one was the worst because of the tour guide. We really should be refunded as this tour was not anything that was on the website. Again, the bikes were horrible along with the tour guide. This company needs to invest in new bikes and new employees!
Our guide was highly knowledgeable and personable. We learned so much on our bike ride. He would warn us when we were coming to a hill but kept a great pace to follow along. I highly recommend checking them out! I would sign up again to do more sightseeing.
I know delays happen, but we waited an additional 30 minutes for the tour guide to arrive only to find out half way through the tour he was a stand-in. The regular tour guide was on vacation. Had we known this, we would not have gone on this tour. While our guide was nice and courteous, we learned very little about the history of Puerto Rico and Old San Juan. Had we know this we would have cancelled the tour. We could have just rented bikes and gone on our own.
George our guide was the best he was personable, friendly and made sure we were comfortable with the pace and stopped by all the best photo ops. He also made great recommendations for more activities on the island.
It was the worst experience from the beginning. Came with a party of 8. They only had 4 bikes available. So half our party could not participate. We reserved these bikes over three months ago. The the tour guide found himself an Elyria bike without a battery. However his tires were not inflated. In the first 30 mins we walked the bike rather than rode due to high pedestrian traffic( which they should know this and choose another route). Mid way through we canceled tour as it was horrible. Tour guide new nothing of San Juan
Moses was the best!!! Thank you for a memorable, and wonderful, ride around San Juan. We loved it! His knowledge, humor, and positivity made for a great tour.
This was a super fun way to see Old San Juan. It was beautiful and visiting by bike allowed us to see more of the sites and to get a little exercise at the same time. Allen was our guide and he was cheerful and accommodating. We were a group of 8 friends and we all enjoyed the views and the experience. The bikes were cute retro bikes. The basket on the front allowed us to bike without anything on our backs. They also offered a water or Gatorade for the ride. I would definitely recommend this tour!!
Jonathan was exceptional! He was accommodating for us to stop and take pictures (and he took pictures of us) and showed us some amazing spots and sights. He shared interesting insights about Puerto Rico from a local’s perspective. He was super polite and pleasant!!! The bikes took a bit of getting used to, but the route had designated bike lanes which was great! This was a great introduction to San Juan, and I would highly recommend this tour, especially on your first day in San Juan!
My husband and I were the only guests on this tour. At first, we were excited as we would have a private tour and that seemed like a bonus. Unfortunately, our tour guide was a very young man who did not appear to have much experience giving bike and city tours. The guide had earbuds in his ears (listening to music?) throughout much of the tour. When we asked a question, he removed the earbuds, answered the question, and then put the earbuds back in. It was quite unprofessional. The guide was very laid back and soft spoken. This tour is promoted as a bike tour, but we spent much of the tour walking around Old San Juan aimlessly with no apparent agenda of what to see. Our guide was a very nice, local, young man but he was not a very good bike and city tour guide. Interesting side note: we arrived by cruise ship, took a $20 taxi ride to get to the tour meeting point, rode bikes to the cruise ship area and walked around, then rode bikes back to the tour meeting point and spent $20 to get back to the ship area. Had we understood the tour better we probably would have just taken an Old San Juan city walking tour and skipped the bikes.
A pleasant cycle tour. The guide didn’t impart much information about the history and culture of San Juan. The tour did give us a decent orientation of the city.
Our guide Sebas was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Even during regular polite conversation he took time to stop and explain different landmarks and areas of the city and their cultural importance. I would 100% go again.
It was hard to find at first but the tour guide waited for me and I was really grateful for that. It was also hard to get in contact with. However, I enjoyed the trip. It was just me and a lovely couple that joined so it was quite intimate and that was best. I wish we had more time in the market though. The tour guide took good photos too so thank you! Very informative!
I loved hearing Sebastian tell us the history of the sights we saw. He was a pleasant knowledgeable young man.
Bryan was an amazing tour guide and had such a great spirit. He taught us so much about the architecture of the buildings and answered all of our questions. Such a positive person even when we got caught in a down pour of rain.
