San Juan Mermaid Snorkel Experience With Complimentary Videos

This was so fun! I got some great photos, loved my guide—he was entertaining and kind, and we got some good snorkeling in as well!

Claudio was an excellent tour guide, he was funny and helpful the entire trip. Very beginner friendly, would highly recommend!

I went with my daughter and to sum up my entire experience I was very disappointed. I never leave a bad review ANYWHERE but this was one I had to share. To begin with they only have adult prices. Secondly, we arrived 45 mins as told and still had to wait around even after our start time. The lady that was assigned to us continuously complained about being tired and hungry and was moving slower than slow. They didn’t have equipment that fit me or my daughter. The description said we’ll be snorkeling and swimming. None of that was done! The instructor simply took a few pictures on my iPhone camera and that was all. The entire “photoshoot” was 15 mins. By far the worst experience ever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

My daughter and I had great fun making our mermaid dreams come true and snorkeling in the protected bay. So many fish and turtles! Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and friendly. The only downside was there were no large or extra large mermaid tails so I had to wear a stretched out small. The company needs to invest in new tails of all sizes.

Including a mermaid snorkel adventure to a girls trip was a must. Alexa was an amazing guide and took some great pictures and video. Saw some beautiful fish along the nursery area and even glimpsed the turtles. Absolutely recommended!

On Sunday, July 28, I went on the Mermaid excursion with your company. My granddaughter and my husband were looking forward to this excursion, as your description made it sound like a lot of fun. Your description included: Discover a whole new world under the sea as a mermaid. Enjoy a magical snorkeling adventure with your mermaid guide. Swim with turtles and tropical fish. Get a video of your adventure. The excursion was supposed to be a guided mermaid snorkeling experience in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We were excited to learn how to synchronize, swim, and become the ultimate mermaid. According to the description, we would channel our inner mermaid, pose like Disney’s Ariel on the beach, and learn the famous hair-flip. We expected to swim alongside turtles, colorful fish, and bright coral in turquoise waters. It was supposed to be a unique experience to live out the fantasy of becoming a mermaid. However, we received none of what was described. Instead, my granddaughter took a picture in some trashy water filled with seaweed. There was no snorkeling for my husband or her, and there was no swimming with turtles in turquoise water. Upon returning, we were told it would take about twenty minutes to download the pictures. We walked around and came back in about forty minutes. When we returned, we were informed that it was taking longer than usual to get our video and pictures and that they would be texted or emailed to us. I called when we arrived back at our hotel because I still had not received the videos or pictures. I was told I should not have left without them, but I explained that I was told they would be sent to me. I also expressed my dissatisfaction with the conditions and the false advertisement in the description. I was informed that a message would be sent to the company, as they were third-party vendors. I waited about two hours and called back, only to be told that it was after hours and I would be contacted the next day. The following day, I did not hear anything, so I called back, leading to a day of back-and-forth communication. The next day, I called to request a full refund and mentioned that I would dispute the charge with my credit card company if I did not receive it. About two hours later, I started receiving text messages with a lot of pictures. When I opened the first text, it was of different people who had presumably taken the tour—just a lot of random pictures. I closed the text and called, not wanting to waste any more time on this.

Our family had an absolutely magical snorkeling experience with Elsa in Puerto Rico. She went above and beyond to make sure our children, aged 7 and 10, felt comfortable and safe in the water. Elsa even took the time to capture stunning mermaid pictures of our Disney princess-loving 7-year-old before we even hit the water. While snorkeling we saw a variety of colorful fish and even a majestic sea turtle. This experience was truly the highlight of our trip and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. Great experience for my 8 year old daughter. The guide took great photos and was very patient with us being beginning snorkelers.

Since she was little, my granddaughter wanted to be a mermaid. She even made her own very first fins. This experience made her dream come true. The look of satisfaction and joy was so strong it made me as her grandmother, cry. Thank you!

Amazing!!our tour guide was knowledgeable and a great teacher we saw so many giant turtles, tropical fish, sea urchins and ruins. Can’t wait to do it again ♥️

Elsa was awesome! She worked to make sure we (my 12 y/o daughter and myself) got the perfect shots and had the best experience. She took us to an area of the beach, showed us marine life, and made it such a memorable experience!

My six year old and I enjoyed the Mermaid Snorkel Tour very much. Our guide was amazing - patient, expressive and great at communicating. My daughter loved every minute of the photo shoot, and the location/backdrop couldn't have been more beautiful. The snorkeling was a wonderful bonus - we saw several fish and my daughter got to put her mermaid tail to use (swimming). It was a HUGE hit!

Very nice instructor, we had a good time to see turtles and fishes. Activity for beginners as we are very close to the beach, we actually don’t take a boat to go on a specific spot. The gear is provided but this is an activity that can be done without instructor.

Elsa provided us with a great experience. She found us 2 squid hovering just above the sea floor, and a feeding turtle that we got to watch rise to the surface to breathe. She also found a sea urchin that we held in our hands for a moment. She was informative, friendly, and gracious. Best guide ever!

Whether you’re looking to get that awesome pic for instagram or you looking for a fun almost silly excursion this is it. Don’t think this is just for children, unless you count your inner child. We’re all 40+ and felt like children living our mermaid fantasy. We spent the first part taking pictures, Sara our guide was amazing! Then after showing we were ok with it we then went snorkeling with our fins on (optional, you can take them off). We were looking for a ‘quick’ snorkeling excursion and got SO MUCH MORE. As for Sara she’s the best and loves what she does.

We did the Mermaid Snorkel and Video shoot yesterday with Elizabeth as our photographer and guide and it was literally SO fun and amazing!!! We were lucky to be the only ones on our time slot, and Elizabeth picked out the perfect mermaid tails to match our bathing suit tops! We had so so much fun and then got to have a personal photo and video shoot swimming in the tails! Elizabeth was great at posing us and she was so fun and sweet! 10/10 recommend if you want to live our your childhood dream of being a mermaid!! 🧜🏻‍♀️

We had an amazing time. Sebastián made our snorkeling experience fun and safe. He was patient and made sure we were comfortable swimming in our mermaids tails. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We are a group of 35-45 y/o women and had a girls trip. We started this as a joke that our one friend convinced us to do and let me tell you we had an amazing time and laughed our asses of. The guys running it made us feel totally comfortable and kept encouraging us to do different poses and get different backgrounds. The one guy used the go-pro and the other used one of our phones the whole time capturing so many pics and videos. After all the time spent on pictures, they still encouraged us to try snorkeling in a couple different spots and took underwater pics doing that. We range in shapes and sizes and the mermaid outfits fit all of us.

My son is into mermaids and has several mermaid tails. This photo shoot was really fun for him. It’s geared more toward younger kids. But if you have kids that like mermaids, they’ll love this adventure.

Not what expected. Pictures came out horrible and bad quality. Would not recommend. Snorkeling is not included

I did have fun pretending to be a mermaid and snorkeling. The quality of the video to obtain photos of me being a Mermaid were poor, it really was not what I expected. quality was blurry and I looked like I was in dirty water. Also there were people (bystanders) and people's shadows in the video. However the rest of the video for the snorkeling was very good. The instructor and group were very polite and engaging to assist.

Our guide/photographer was very accommodating and fun! The photo shoot was cute and she then sent us over 70 videos and pictures! My only suggestion would be for the company to be more prepared for kids - they did not have any snorkeling goggles small enough for our 5 year old and they didn't ask about if we needed life jackets for the kids until we had already started snorkeling, so we had to stop snorkeling while she went back to get some.

My 9 year old daughter Mira had the time of her life today on her mermaid snorkeling experience with Gracie! They saw many turtles & fish & we have lots of great videos to remember it & show family. This is easily the highlight of her trip to San Juan. As a first time snorkeled we were very happy that she was taught by someone with so much experience & she felt completely comfortable the entire time. She told me later that they are now good friends & they bonded over the experience. Can’t ask for more than that! Thank you Gracie & Try Scuba for an amazing time!
