Santurce - an important historical and cultural part of the Capital, and trendy place to hang among locals. Has two art museums, a performing arts center, and small theaters around the neighborhood. Mostly famous for its urban art murals and the popular Marketplace (La Placita), which brims with great food, music and atmosphere on the evenings.
We will also pass by • Miramar - a residential area near El Condado, known for wealthy and historical houses. • El Condado - this upscale residential neighborhood is also the beach resort part of the city and has many hotels and restaurants along its main thoroughfare, Ashford Ave.
Drive will continue towards Isla Verde - located actually in the adjacent municipality of Carolina, within the larger metro area. It is closest to the international airport and has great beaches, hotels and parks.
Piñones - popular coastal area in the town of Loiza, known for it's typical fritters, Puerto Rican cuisine and seafood; and culturally, where our strongest African heritage lays. Here you will have the opportunity to stop for more picture opportunities and/or grab a fritter or snack (at own expense).
This was an excellent overview of Puerto Rico. As travelers with mobility challenges, this was PERFECT. The Driver was an excellent tour guide who provided cultural context to the sights and towns. Felix was our driver and he was awesome.

Amazing experience. We saw places in San Juan off the beaten path - totally discovering beauty we did not know existed! Our guide Felix gave us a great tour of all the important areas of San Juan. We didn’t stop to take the usual tourist selfies as we were more interested in hearing the history and cultural details. We made choices about or limited time there based on his conversations. He didn’t steer us wrong! Definitely enjoyed the food/ restaurants he pointed out to us and picked our activities based on the many options we discussed during our driving tour. The tour was wonderful. Our driver was Frankie, and he was awesome. He told us from the start that if there was something in particular we wanted to see to let him know. He stopped for sno cones when we asked him to cause it was so hot. He took pictures of our family. And when we asked him if he could drop us off closer to our car when the tour was over, he gladly obliged. He was very friendly and personable. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Booked tour at 9:30 am while the ship was at the dock. Tour was scheduled to commence at 12:30, so instead of starting to walk around and sight see, we killed time on the ship until 12 and then headed to the meeting point. At 12:05 I got a call saying since we booked last minute, they couldn’t do the tour that day but could the next day. Why accept a reservation for a tour you can’t accommodate? Other tour providers didn’t. And why wait til 25 min before it starts to let us know. We wasted almost 3 hrs of sightseeing potential. Lastly, you can get a local private tour guide off the ship for $175. Don’t waste your time or money with this tour company.

This was a great experience from booking to finish! Felix was our driver, and my family is already talking about traveling back to San Juan just to do another tour with him. He was jovial, funny and knew so much about San Juan and Puerto Rico. He picked us up from our cruise port, toured us around San Juan and then dropped us off at the airport. Felix was truly fantastic! He even found a local food stand/restaurant where we were able to buy some amazing and fresh local foods. Such a great experience!

Travel by car through old San Juan and some of the surrounding suburbs. Although the tour is short it allowed us to see more of Puerto Rico than we would have been able to see by walking.

The driver was on time and communicated in detail where to find him. He was very knowledgeable about San Juan and gave us a good overview of the city. He also stopped several places so we could take pictures. Since one of our group walks with a cane he dropped off right at the ship.
We booked the tour. On the day of the tour there was a mixup with the timing between us and the operator so we had to cancel the tour. The lady from the tour operator was very helpful. So we got a full refund of the tour. Great Service.

We saw places that most tourists don't get to visit (ocean views behind the airport) and learned about places we should visit on a return trip to the island. Frankie was our driver in Puerto Rico on a private tour. This tour was fantastic! The van was nice and cool and Frankie seemed to know everything about everything! So many facts and stories. He even stopped at a little restaurant so we could try his favorite foods! I would not hesitate to take another tour like this with Viator!

Our original tour cancelled late night or early morning hours - as they say things happen. I was grateful to find this tour for the same day. We toured Isla Verde, Loíza, Santurce (Art District) Old San Juan, Piñones and Condado. The tour was great and James, our guide was very knowledgeable. He also had plenty of recommendations when asked about food/restaurants, where to go. I wanted to try local cuisine and fruits- had both.(fresh chicken kabobs, cod dish(fried) and soursop drink).

The best part of our tour was the tour guide himself. Felix made our tour more enjoyable and fun by being just so upbeat! I was with my daughters and all I heard was all praise for Felix. What a wonderful tour - the bus was spacious and roomy and was easily accessible. The tour lasted just under 3 hours, and covered a lot of historically significant areas in San Juan. Our tour guide Hector was knowledgeable, and gave us not only a historical perspective of what we saw, but a locals perspective as well. He was very interesting to listen to, and gave great facts and interesting stories. If you want a very interesting and interactive tour. this is a must!!

Francisco picked us up on time and did a beautiful job sharing his island with us. He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history along with some fun facts such as how El Yunque rainforest got its name. Francisco was very personable and fun to chat with. We were able to see some coastline and learn about several towns, pause at the Castillo de San Fillipe de Morro for pictured, ride through some of the narrow streets of Old San Juan, and also see some of the newer modern side of San Juan around the Convention Center area. This was a great way to see a bit of San Juan and a bit more in a short amount of time. Thank you again Francisco!

We took this tour just a couple of hours after arriving in San Juan, so it was interesting to get an overview of the area (in air-conditioned comfort). We ended up being very glad that we were staying in old San Juan and not in the land of high rise hotels on the beach.
Was a terrific way to use the extra time before our flight home. Our driver, Freddie, took us to both old and new San Juan. He was very attentive and informative. We especially enjoyed the drive along the local beach on Sunday. It was filled with local flavor. Made us want to return and stay longer.
